This thread is to notify the community of how this guy operate. Deal with this caution.

 

Quick Brief

So me and this guy worked a deal for me to make him a design for his game stated below. The deal was to create him a new design of HIS choice, the buyer was going to receive the following after full payment, for time I did make him pay half upfront like anyone. To get to the point I made the PSD's first BEFORE even working on the HTML/CSS. So after the creation the buyer AGREED and said everything was perfect so I started working on the conversion but somewhere we had hiccups on the buyer comprehending what "responsive" meant but it was all good conversion was complete. So out the blue this guy tells me he wants a refund (didn't request any changes) his first was it look like a website he wanted to make a design identical (Yes guys, the design he agreed on and i got a screenshot of the confirmation) then it was the mobile responsive (don't worry guys I got screenshots and a live site up) then he said something about I took too long (I think I took 5 days max, totally fine with compensating $25 off the agreed $250 even though a time frame wasn't agreed on) so then the guy said it was something about a partnership(not really a partnership just terms and questions since i own the script he's using) I offered. Moral of the story the guy isn't getting a refund due to agreements and time took making this. I told him I understand he'll dispute the payment on PayPal so it's okay cause i have proof of agreements. It's nothing personal just here to let my fellow friends and developers know about this guy before dealing with this him. Screenshots will be uploading tomorrow i'm exhausted from work.

Doesn't sound like a nice situation. If you ask someone to do work at least stick to what is agreed and if you approve then that's it. I've been in similar situations only that I wasn't paid and had my work belittled so has had some effect on me wanting to seek work because of scum.

Yeah and I rarely don't do designs anymore for this exact reason. The guy came to me been messaging me for almost a year out for one of my designs. Only thing i'm pissed about is im negative on PayPal doing the special month of December.

You probably shouldn't use the player names from the game of the layout you stole.

You deserve nothing, to be honest.

What I did was make something that the buyer requested. The source files are literally up click on them and see for yourself. You need to know the difference between stealing and remaking. So don’t shoot the messenger.

he didnt steal the game and sold it to the client no??

exactly i dont get when peoplke say stolen, its a similar design exactly what the client asked for.

for example look back in the days how many people wanted clones of torn.

inspiration comes from everywhere and because the design looks similar dont mean its the same.

while making clones im not a fan of it but everyone to themselves.

If you need substantial proof and not just specific screenshots to adhere to this individual’s motion he’s trying to move forward here.

I will not deal with over promising and under performance. It was a strategic business move on his end to delay my game. 24 hours turned into 5 days and anything like alterations and fixed (that he knew I wanted) wasn’t discussed until after he wanted full payment. He would NOT do anything else until his game was released. Yes I have a similar code, and threats from this individual have occurred after this! I have said nothing and just wanted my money back as I was provided screenshots of a game that was already built. 

It’s a simple statement of ill time management and not performing to expectations, that I was told. 
 

Thanks You MWG Community! I hope this doesn’t put a “negative” aura around my intentions of being apart of the community!

The screenshots look like the live the presentation. That’s what you wanted. You don’t agree then but out at the end. I went back to the chat and you right I said 48hrs to create two PSD’s but didn’t you decline that one so I had remake the PSD’s so that’s another 48hrs to remake. Now we at 4 days and took me like a day and half to convert it. You have too many excuses and I’m not the first developer that had a problem with you. I posted the most important screenshots.

Yes sir, I wanted to keep it private and let PayPal settle the issue. If I don’t get my refund, so be it. Like I said this is a business strategy for him more than anything.
