Why? You don't appreciate them anyway.
-
I apologize, I misread! What if you put the full path; /path/to/test.png
-
If test.png is not a valid image on your server, imagecreatefrompng will fail.
-
And test.png is a valid image on your server?

Every 100 rep is pretty huge, considering nobody gives rep out (like they did when it was +1 / -1) - perhaps change the icon, if you can, to something more obvious than a sheriff symbol? You can never be ninja from sniko :)
-
Not a new one no, but some (ehem, !Angel) have modified their reputation manually. I believe more bars are added the more reputation you receive. Either the threashholds are extroidinary, or not many people give out (good) reputation.

So this was another sarcastic thread?
-
By not holding on to it, and letting it discourage you.
-
No worries - I can't help you any further

Remove the sensitive information? Oh, you're first to report. Please PM me the issue(s).
-
Please can you PM me your CV, and I'll read through it, and see where you can improve - as this is what the company is primarily basing their initial decision on.

Make yourself stand out. If you're going for a programming job, set-up a GitHub (or something alike) and make public repositories to show your abilities. Have a personal site, and link the employer to there - which has your portfolio, and CV. Go job hunting on Linkedin (recruitment centers are hawks on there). Did you just send it once, and wait for a reply? Send one a week, every week until you get a response. If their response is "no", then ask if you can volunteer. Volunteering will not only show you want to work for them, but will give them an extra trail period for you... because corporates love people who will work for them for free. Oh, and if you're using the handle "The Coder" elsewhere, try not acting like a total-internetz-badass on here - people/employers hate that - be supportive to everyone you come in contact with.
-
Please use your initiative. I've linked you to the authors website, which has his social links on it. Facebook last updated April 24th. Twitter last updated April 16th.
-
If you read the thread, you would see a demo link, which would bring a 404 to the authors home site, with a contact link. http://www.dansparks.co.uk/contact.php

Or a custom exclusive job.

The scripts have no obvious thumbprints of any engines I've personally worked with. However, does the term "Valens" mean anything to you (or anyone else) - it's the author of the script/site - perhaps an engine, or a (group of) developer(s).
-
I'm not certain what you need. Do you need the core script? Alterations to a current script? or...?
-
Please can you save the man love for the bedroom? :p

You're all welcome. Since the re-release of these systems as free ones, just shy of 24 hours, should all of you paid the price they were, they combined would have netted $1,205 - that's crazy! All systems have averaged around 10-14 downloads each. I guess text based game developers are still alive then ;)
-
Having limited time now, and not being able to support or upgrade the following modules any further, I've decided to re-release them as free. Crafting system was $25.00 Download Farming system was $15.00 Download IP was $5.00 Download Timestamp crons was $5.00 Download Adv. property system was $25.00 Download Username images was $15.00 Download These systems come as-is, and no support will be given - unless you're really stuck or they don't work. The architecture is pretty non-existent, so please don't judge my current abilities on these ancient systems. Have fun.

Wait, the Richard is back?

A beta test is typically the last test performed by companies prior to releasing a product. It’s a test that involves real customers using the product in real environments. From identifying critical bugs to providing general opinions and ideas about the product, a beta test allows potential customers to be involved in the company’s product development. Testers have a chance to experience a new product firsthand, share their insight and ideas with a company, and help make a better product. Source - Betabound Conclusion - When you're ready to release but want that extra test phase to double-sure there's no bugs or glitches over looked in alpha testing.

Ah, we are talking about different things - kind of. The idea of cronless crons - in this instance - was to update all player and other related stuff typically every minute, five minutes, every hour, every day, IIRC.
-
... and you'd store the last time the "cronless cron" ran in the database, right? I think we may be talking about different things?
-
Because this will just update that 1 player, unless the SQL query (which you haven't provided) updates all players. A cron would be a good way to go, because on every page click we're not adding another query to perform. (35 active players * 5 clicks every 20 seconds = 2,100 added queries a minute.)
