I could work on payment-per-module basis, if needed.

A great time waster, which doesn't give the effect of time wasting is a story/quest system.

Why would MMORPG customers not require SSH? For me, it's my (now) preferred way to interact with the server.
-
> Basic DDOS Protection I don't understand. Does it help prevent (d)Dos attacks, or only when it feels like it? Can we have the opportunity to use SSH instead of cPanel? What's your experience like in server management?

I can complete the job for around £50, or ~£80 with a staff panel. I'd develop locally, and when I feel it's at a reasonable state, I'll upload to a test site. Once satisfied (and by that I mean it meets all the points above; nothing more), I'll send you the system via email once payment has been cleared via PayPal. Copy of Requirements from OP * It needs to show when people sign up, they can have an option to skip the tutorial or watch it and there should also be an option in preferences to re-run the tutorial in case they missed something or decided to skip and regret it. * It should show text and explain certain aspects of the page you are viewing. * It should show and explain around 6 features and each feature might have 3-4 aspects inside which need explaining. * Players should receive small rewards during the tutorial for completing steps. * Links should flash/be highlighted that need to be completed.

If I ask you to perform "Game install on your server - $15" service, will that cost me $15, or $45? Also, can you supply some snippets so we can see your quality of code? (Plus neatness, and naming conventions - as someone may need to alter your scripts in the future (for some reason or another) and neat code will make a buyer happy.)

.. Wow. Talk about underselling yourself.

True, my mistake. Although, it suggests you're using md5 for players password, too.
-
...Still using an algorithm cracked in 1996? Nice secure password, by the way. I can't believe you managed to get passed password validation gates with the password string "5".
-
And what if I route my bot through various proxies? I only ask because this seems to be the prime workaround of games being spammed by signup-bots.

Still wouldn't stop me (or someone) from nuking your database table(s) with ~1,000 entries per second (or however long). I like this idea for e-mail verification; +1 for that. -1 for sending a password in an email.

w3fools.com. I'd point you to PHPTheRightWay.com. And perhaps browse OWASP.

I picked "Social site thingy". No reason behind, but I guess it would be more of a challenge, and I like challenges.

For me, it depends. On dev/test systems, I let the errors flow by PHPs native error handler (verbose error reporting), so I can fix those errors - which are usually silly mistakes. On live, it depends what logic is talking place. For example; Connecting to a database - try/catch; send header response 500. Updating a row - try/catch; send header response 400/500/dependant on other variables. Syntax error - Custom error handler Debugging live - trigger_error/file_put_contents

Ah, I see. If there's no way to tell how big it would get; would that suggest an infinite range, or is there an absolute limit at 1 million points? What is needed is something whereby regions have a roughly even coverage, perhaps split into multiple separate regions. - is this not the 4-8-16 puzzle we went through earlier? Whereby we split the playing field up in such a manner that results in an "even coverage"? We could adopt the "divide-and-conquer algorithm"?

What part do you need help with? If you're going to offer (useless) "advice", at least spell correctly. -
4 separate regions As you considered 4 separate regions, why did you stop at 4 when it didn't produce what you needed? 1250 / 4 = 312.5; as in 4 regions would have (say) 312 places (towns). We could get this even further, and divide those 4 separate regions in half; creating 8 regions = 156.25 places (towns), and eventually reiterate that process until an accepted result is reached? I see you mentioned radius, so this map is a circle or sphere, right? - or did I interpret incorrectly? Therefore, we get a random point along an ever increasing spiral mathematically by adopting the radius and manipulating it. Moving on. Is there a method of subdividing the entire area given into a small number of regions which themselves span multiple locations - similar to how countries may look? From my knowledge, kind of. Let's say we went out into a field and threw a mesh somewhere on our field (map). The area covered by our mesh would be our largest area; our countries. To then get the smaller places ("states") we'd throw another mesh [on top of the one we'd just thrown], which, if you can imagine, would give the impression of the "countries" being built up by the "states" (from the more defined mesh). Essentially, we're just moving back to the 4-8-16-32... separate region "puzzle", which again was something that didn't give the result you were looking for. Question, and it may be a dumb question; why not adopt Voroni noise, and apply another algorithm on top of that - Worley noise, Plasma fractals, or even, Perlin noise?

This is true support! Great stuff @GoInstant. I do plan to make the improvements sometime soon - life is a little busy at the moment, but it'll tweet you once it's released! -

Sounds awesome. Any more news since the 25th? Can you post some screenshots to entice us more? -
Pretty awesome!

Then it's not a hack in the fundamental sense (gaining unauthorised access) and is most likely a manipulation of your system. PM me the address and I'll give it a quick once-over and tell you where you're missing your security (validation/sanitization/double-checking)
