More information on the error would help.

Sick and Tired of substandard Support
Dominion replied to Frosty's topic in Feedback and Site Support
I didn't read it as saying they don't send them, but that everything is automatic through the site. The second line saying they can produce a copy of it manually if that is what he asking for. There are a lot of threads on here that attack both MWG, and mccodes themselves. -
Loan System for Bank (ideas bounced around too)
Dominion replied to Script47's topic in Requests & In Production
I don't understand. Are you asking for help or being sarcastic? Either way you could expand on the error or explain why someone else is in error instead of giving no information at all. -
This is why you should be keeping logs of some kind. How long has the account been active? Is it possible he/she just found a logic problem with a new feature (e.g. awards giving X*level rather then something smaller), and exploited that?
-
Maybe explain the system you're looking for? I'm sure there are more people who have not been on those sites then have.
-
By his own rules he should allow you 3 re-downloads, however he normally re-activates the link himself since each one is unique as a 1 time use. Just the way his system is. Assuming you can get hold of him there shouldn't be a problem with getting another copy.

Fair enough. I wish you the best of luck with your new partners. :) It doesn't make him a scammer, I ask to see examples of work when outsourcing basic things to someone I've never worked with. If I was going into partnership with someone, and taking others along with me I would ask for examples a lot more complex then a contact script. I'm also a little interested to know why you have listed Jquery and JavaScript as if they are different things when Jquery is a JavaScript library.

Option 1 can be created as long as you have some way to send the item. Having an actual system in place (hold money until item is sent for example) will prevent scams. From that, and normally forums for the game, options 2 and 3 develop on there own without taxation. People normally post a list of unwanted items or a single rare item to the highest bidder. With this in mind all three are good as long as you can integrate it with whatever genre your game is. Option 4 I probably would never use.

mccode-v2 8 Lines to secure your site from known sql injections.
Dominion replied to Haunted Dawg's topic in Free Modifications
Is there a reason you keep bringing back a dead thread? -
Any income or active users? Is the site even open? What are the mods installed, and what about the game makes it unique?

http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/36523-Paypal-donation-package-creation?highlight=admin+donator Haven't really looked at it, but it's a starting point for you.

He was asking for a full donation system not just the IPN itself.

How much extra on top of the bid?

How much experiences do you have running such an online business, especially marketing one, as I'm unsure how much work you could get for 3 developers in the short term. With that in mind what kind of rules would be imposed on those who apply? e.g. outside work still be allowed or would it all have to be done through the company? How would payment for each job be taken, pay the company then get X amount after it's profitable?
-
^ This. Post up the file, and any errors you have or contact mccodes via their website. I would suggest the former.
-
That's fair enough, but I believe there is actually such a system on here already. It doesn't have 1/2 the features Dave's does, but then... it's free what do you expect?

Who would be interested in a map system like NEaB inside NWE?
Dominion replied to a_bertrand's topic in New Worlds Engine
I have to agree with Spudinski's post on the last page, what would such a map/feature actually add to a text based engine? How would you use it? -
A pre-existing system doesn't stop someone else developing along the same lines...

You’ll find this kind of question, especially when it comes to PHP, all over the web. From a practical point of view you should be able to produce both procedural, and OO code if you’re taking any PHP jobs since its one thing a lot of people ask about. For your own programs however it’s down to personal opinion. For MVC you might want to give this a quick look - http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/43178-MVC-or-not-MVC As A_Bertrand has already said OO inside PHP will seem odd if you’ve ever programmed in Java, c# or anything similar. The problem PHP currently has is a large split between those that want everyone to do everything OO and those who feel it’s not needed because PHP is not an OO language. It nearly always brings out mixed views, and heated discussions. It’s more than possible to create good code structure with Procedural, and fairly easy to maintain well built software despite the ultra-pro OO groups wanting you to think once you’ve written anything in PHP it suddenly becomes impossible to maintain. If your older code is unworkable, even by yourself, you have to ask if it’s because it’s not OO or because you didn’t create it with any kind of structure. You asked about why we still use Procedural code ourselves, and for me it’s not that simple. I use OOP in some projects, and in some I don’t. I honestly feel like you should decide what the program is doing then pick how you create it. Locking yourself into always using OOP, always creating the program with an MVC structure, limits you as much if not more so then not knowing how to program that way at all.

Free Web Host - Zpanel Control Panel + 1 Minute Cron Jobs
Dominion replied to KyleH112's topic in Web hosting
Talking about hosting laws, and what you are actually putting on your server is one thing (although not really something I want to read about), however please don't post a link to porn again. -
To be honest we still don’t know this is Lightning. It’s hard to imagine that someone trying to scam you, someone who knows that the site’s owners are on here, someone who has actually posted a “review” of that site from his account, would give you the real account. Maybe I’m giving human thought more credit then I should. In any case I'm glad you checked up on the deal. :)
