We can't help you without seeing the mod, and you shouldn't post a paid modification. Do you have any idea what is wrong? Maybe the database is empty or the query has an error in it, and failing to select anything?
-
I never said we would do badly. :p At the time I was aware of how well we we're doing, but wasn't really watching the events. I also don't remember the coverage being so spread out(it has been going on since the flame got here). Probably because we were not the hosts...

What does that even mean?

2008 was the last Olympic games held in Beijing...

I think what Guest tried to say was no one is going to help you install mods, spend their time working on your site, for a staff position. I recommend trying yourself to install one of the many free modifications as a start. If you need help with a specific problem ask. I would also highly recommend learning the basics of PHP. Here is a starting place to do so - http://makewebgames.io/content.php/151-Helpful-Links

There is supposedly a lot of excitement about the Olympics; however I am still not feeling it. Doesn’t mean I am unpatriotic simply not interested in an event that is closer. I have never shown much interest. The main difference this year is I am a little bored of hearing about it, and even more annoyed that every time I turn the news on its telling me I should be excited. Just because something is next door doesn’t mean I will enjoy it more. Having said that I of course respect those who have worked hard in their sport to gain entry and compete. I would be more surprised if anyone felt bad towards the competitors rather than the event weather it’s just not showing interest or stories like above. That is not unique btw; similar things happened in London this year as well. Of course it is wrong. I wish my country the best of luck just as I would in any sport I didn't watch...

Look at the date of the posts above.

He said it was “mono country codes” because it was their first site, and then went on to explain they programmed the original game. They then, after opening the site, decided to sell it as a package. V2 was just v1 built on a little. I don’t see how he avoided the question? My interpretation – he said no, and then explained the answer.

What exactly would that 'stuff' be?

Building your own computer may potentially save you money, however if you don't know what you're doing, and don't know anyone who could help out... Buying one is the better option. I've seen first attempts at a computer go very wrong because of basic knowledge holes.

Well why are you changing? Need more bandwidth? More ram? Are you looking for a windows server rather then Linux? Then I guess I should ask are you comfortable dealing with a VPS or a dedi without support or are you looking for a host that will help you out?
-
What kind of requirements do you have?

Wasn't that a joint mod with bluedevil123 or am I thinking of something else? Nice looking modification Sniko. Best of luck with sales.

Still better then using an illegal OS that I assume won't get updates?
-
If you're working for someone else they may add or take features away (not sure why the would take something away) that would make a job incomplete. So that adds another level to it since the software itself may change a little. Working for someone else normally means it's only perfect when they think so. :p I only commented on the "OOP makes everything bug free" idea because it seemed something ridicules(no offense to anyone).

I didn't understand? You just want recommendation on a home computer? Something you will be using for work? gaming? or what... Also don't use a "cracked" OS, if you don't want to buy windows 7 use something open source such as ubuntu.
-
You can make a detailed plan no matter what you're using. As for testing, if you only test once at the end of creating a system, you are either very lucky not to have error (syntax or just a plain mistake in how it works) or... well I don't know. Either way OOP or not it's going to mean a plan lets it suddenly become bug free. Maybe with a small project testing would not be needed at every step, but really? I don't see you creating something large, and not making a mistake just because of a plan. As I said before even a typo could cause an error.

anyone got thisscript or know where i can get it from
Dominion replied to Syed's topic in Game Support
He wants to know if it's based on something open source (e.g. GL as suggested) or something he could buy (E.g. NWE) not the languages it's created from. Correct me if I'm wrong. -
Using OOP does not make something bug free. I don't understand this point of view at all. Even if you plan out the whole application a typo could cause some small error. As said above it's what bug testing is for.

Should sum the basic stuff up.

Maybe it was to say he/she is the perfect person to hire for such work. Something most people say when selling services is it not? Please don't fill a sales thread with sarcastic comments getting locked up on just one thing.

Someone for mccodes is not going to be using an "@hotmail.co.uk" E-mail address to deal with this kind of thing. Just block the user, and in the very unlikely event I am wrong Dabs or CB will be sure to see this thread and correct me. Anyone else having this problem I give the same advice to; if unsure go through the support page on mccodes.com or start a thread just like this one.

Happy birthday.

Do mods for 2.0 work Aswell with the redux version?
Dominion replied to LearningCoder's topic in General Discussion
Doesn't change the fact new members of the forum, those who have paid their money to buy the engine, have had to ask for help converting both free mods, and fixing errors. I am not trying to be rude here. Just trying to show that your view is not shared by all. I have personally never tried it, only given some support to those who have asked.
