Hello,

Today I am announcing some new information regarding MCCodeMods.

I am allowing early access to developers who wish to upload there modifications to MCCodeMods, Paid and Free in time for the re launch.

It is incredibly easy to upload modifications now, simply fill in the title, attach the file add a description and submit, to get advanced access you must have a proven track record for MCCodeMods, if you do please PM me links to the modifications and I will decide from there if you are eligible for access.

Regards, !Angel

Hey there, I got that Car Race Modfication from MCCodes Market (Free) I completly fixed it up and re-coded everything. May I upload it as a paid mod? Its for both versions.

I also got a Bug Report Modification...I want to put that up for free. (I re-coded that to)

I have my Faction Modfication, I want to put that as a paid modification. (Both Version)

I have a Bank and Cyber Bank Modfication want to put that up for a paid mod aswell.

You have to upgrade your bank to able to store more money, and if you upgrade your intrest rate goes up. And you gain x amout of money daily from intrest... (This also haves a staff feature, Both Version)

Richard Estate Mod. Come along with marriage and sharing house with partner!

(I re-coded everything!, Both Version)

Any intrest mail me and I will show you the modifications...

You aren't allowed to take credit for others work. So you'd definitely not be allowed to re-sell someones work.

If you created your own from scratch it would be a different case.

Hmmm, okay what if I re-coded everything?

If its not allowed then I only can sell the factions mod and CyberBank and Bank. Which I dont mind of course...

Generally speaking a "recode" would always have something of the original modification, and therefore shouldn't be sold on. Using an idea, and creating your own is a completely different story.

Proven track record?

Care to elaborate on the criteria.

Also, can you explain the system -- how do payments work? Your cut? Etc.

can i upload Gym mod as paid work

Yea it is mostly likely you can if you created it from scratch and you feel the need to with your price, yes you may.

If you have several modifications out there already and are of moderate to high quality with good feedback that would be classed as a good track record. The system uses Invision Power Board, IP Downloads and IP Nexus, if you have ever used them then you would know how easy it is to add a new file for download.

Payments:

We get a 5% cut of paid sales, payments can be requested through the client area and there is no limit, min or max, to the payout.

Hope that explains what you were after.

so when mccodes were found laying around in 04 and recoded still using the coding from the one whom coded it in beginning, why is that person not credited in mccode engine but only the ones whom run mccodes.com?

kind of contradicting if you ask me... but this will always be the argument with the mccode engine, until someone comes a long who knew the actual real maker of the code in which mccodes developers used and "recode"...

Sorry I don't understand how that relates to this thread?

Well I don't deny 3rd party scripts were used (such as the original bbcode file that had it's original copyright in tact, and the JS on the register page that again had an original copyright) where used I have never heard any real proof that it was just a recode from an available source. Of course if it's true the same rules would apply and I would still claim it's not something you can just pass as your own... with more problems since they have been doing so for years.

Even if it was it doesn't change the answer to the question. If you take someone else's work and change it you can't just then claim it's yours.

So, how would you base your opinion on candidates then, for example, if I chose to do it?

I had over 1.2k posts on here, which held various mods, but I had site admin delete them all and I started again, since the community here got lax and wanted everything for free, including code samples for their own mods (which they probably sold), so I decided not to show mine on here.

I'd also say I'm one of the best programmers on here (Definitely top 1% of members here), but you can't see my mods.

How much does feedback affect it, since most people who know me here can tell you if I can write code etc.

And for payments, I'm assuming all payments are made to you, then you pay out, right?

There are exceptions to every case. I know full well you can code. I also agree you are possibly one of the best however comparing yourself to others on here isn't a huge accomplishment as a lot of people are new to coding here. I myself was new when I first started here. Yes the payments are made to me and then I payout.

Though to get a rank such as developer you would need to produce good modifications, if you don't want to share them for free here feel free to PM me links to them.

He [Guest] raises an interesting point, one that has long made me pause before posting anything here - few people know of my capabilities (Guest does), but it would be inappropriate for me to submit code to somebody who has published a requirement for high quality code (a good thing if I'm honest) without first proving themselves to others. Perhaps a mod site needs more openness and the ability for authors of all levels to post safe in the knowledge that their code is secure, and will be paid for in full to them.

I am simply looking for people if they want to upload there modifications before the site is released, after that you are more than open to submit your own modifications.

In reference to both posts above I would recommend taking some kind of code sample, and even having a small conversation with the programmer before giving them any kind of status on your site. The problem with having not seen anything is, well yes they could be amazing, they could also not be. I'm sure that's not the case for the both of you, but it's not like a quick test matters.

codecanyon for example has someone check every file, they make sure the market isn't flooded with the same type of systems, and have a small Q&A before you can even upload a file (at least they did not sure if it's still there). I disliked some of the rules (for example I can price my own work), but it's definitely worth using as a buyer because you know they have been looked over.
