  1. All Hosting accounts have now been suspended, I have backups of everyone's accounts which were active up until this point and they can be requested directly from me. Wanted to thank everyone who bought our super cheap hosting to start their game projects, it helped MWG keep running under my ownership. I'm not going anywhere, just stepping back from the forums and the extra avenues of revenue I created through it. You're in safe hands with @FoohonPie, whom I am excited to see his plans for this community, and his existing community. and @Dayo who we all know as being a stellar individual, who's supported this forum directly and made an awesome engine. His new Marketplace will have peoples previous purchases and modules too.
  2. 😂 Foohon now gets to decide the fate. The hosting accounts will go offline tomorrow, the marketplace will migrate to @Dayos new site.
  3. Ironically this is exactly my current thought, providing it as paid means people expect support for things which is where I don't have the time. I'll grab the MCCodes domain of Kunal and put up something simple. This is a case for lots of the older folks who still browse here! I'm at ~16 years on this forum, pretty crazy that people stuck around.
  4. I’m considering options on how to keep Mccode available 😌
  5. With the closure of the MWG Marketplace, I've contacted all users who hold a remaining credit on their account to request their PayPal emails for their withdrawal. I am exploring how people whom have purchased modules through the marketplace will be able to continue to download them once the Marketplace aspect of the forum is removed. The closure of the Marketplace is partly due to the community software deprecating the features which support it.
  6. Fyi; I'm going to still build games and be around the community, just the overhead of running the forum wasn't feasible.
  7. This was an oversight, we don't intend to restrict you from your purchases. We'll come up with a solution. @Albenski253 the marketplace is restored, and I've found a way to disable new purchases (which was the reason I disabled it). So you're able to download your purchases as required.
  8. There's actually a lot of off the shelf e-commerce solutions which can do this for you, for instance Bagisto (Laravel) and Magento: https://webkul.com/blog/top-5-open-source-marketplace-software/
  9. Our strong partnership with PBBG, and the similarities in the communities that ran felt like the better solution for this than continuing to run the forum. Sadly the Invision Community software, the Marketplace and the hosting software and servers all had high costs and maintenance requirements. Alongside this Invision actually deprecated the Marketplace software, thus why it's now offline. We were unable to keep up to date with the software updates due to the deprecations throughout the forum software, and I sadly do not have the time to migrate the forum away (it's a length process). @FoohonPie is wanting to preserve and continue the great communities that exist around PBBG's and text based games, and has a very active Discord and great site with PBBG.com. Forums are kind of lame in 2024, and I fully trust and believe in Foohon to do a great job with the community. See this as an evolution of the community. Depending on Foohon's plans, he could be happy to partner with someone like yourself @ags_cs4 / @MNG and link out to a community ran Marketplace solution. I will warn you the overhead and moderation is lengthy.
  10. I've came to an agreement with FoohonPie who owns and runs PBBG who will be taking over the site.
  11. Sadly due to other commitments and the cost, and effort required to up-keep MWG I have decided to shut it down by the end of April 2024. I have attempted to find a new owner with little success. Logistically there are a few items to tick off which I'll be completing over the following month: Ensure all Marketplace money is paid out, and contact users who have not withdrawn in a considerable time. Even once MWG is closed these funds can be requested through email. Inform all MWG Hosting customers of the shut down of the hosting product at the end of the month, and provide any refunds for those who paid for multiple months. Provide refunds for any account credit that has been deposited. There maybe other items which I'll discover throughout the month. It's been a really fun ride and I've throughly enjoyed running this community, this forum is how I started my journey and my career. With the growth of Discord amongst other mediums of content MWG has seen dwindling activity over the years. However, our good friends at PBBG: http://pbbg.com run a great site, and Discord for all your browser based game needs. If you are interested in taking over MWG, I could be interested in selling it off to an interested member. However, I do not have the time to be an active participant moving forward.
  12. Certainly don't want to discourage you from coding, I'm looking at options on how to keep this running. Existing sites will remain up without suspension while I work out what to do.
  13. At this time we’re not selling new hosting, it’s doubtful we will offer this as a product again All existing hosting is still live and can be accessed via your credentials at https://cpanel.makeweb.games/
  14. It seems the most recent version of the forum software has removed support for the Hosting aspect of their store. This has resulted in the option to purchase hosting and see existing hosting information from your account disappear. We'll look into a new solution, until then the hosting accounts are still activated and present under https://server.makeweb.games:2083/
