World War II Game

Well I am going to start making a Text Based WWII game, stuck for name at the moment, so my answer is completley true lol.

I chose MCcodes by the way.

Does anyone have any feature/name ideas for a World War II game?

As I always said: from scratch, for a simple and good reason: I want to make MY game not make yet another game like X and engines tends to be... way to restrictive and blocks your thinking.

I have voted from scratch, since I'm a very complex man ... yet I wouldn't mine using a framework, or a partial base. For instance, unity3D or other *real* engines. But I guess many of you could agree on that.

I would code my web game from scratch, if I was ever "attempt another MMORPG" for the pc, I wouldn't create it from scratch even though it was a very great 4yr learning experience.

if i had the time and the skill then i would code it from scratch , but tbh i dont have the skill to create a engine or the time so i would go with mccodes.

@runthis; I read somewhere that unreal engine costs $500,000 and thats with Unreal engine advertising on loadup

Not quite sniko, To sell your game it costs $99 for the licence, and 25% of everything you make over $500,000

Call of duty actually uses an edited version of the Quake engine, which is free.

Sorry but I could not agree less. Unity 3D offers C# or Javascript coding with integration with VisualStudio or not. Offers even profilers, and special effects which blenders can only dream of.

For me blender is a cool free 3D modeling / rendering software but certainly not a pro soft nor really a game engine.
