I voted somewhere else, just for the fact it depends on the template, I do think they should be above the fold, and it should be somewhat a prominent feature within the design, after all gamers need to be able to check these things frequently.

I had this problem a few years back, I moved from Lancashire after a considerable amount of years living there, to Yorkshire, had no freakin' idea what people were saying to me (beyond the scope of common words). It's definitely regional. EDIT: They make Lancashire to Yorkshire, dictionaries too. It's also worse when they make up their own slang, for example Cockney.
