  1. So much for keeping an introduction thread on topic eh! You didn’t even welcome poor @YordanAND to the forums 😂
  2. Sure I'll lock the topic! Congrats 🙂
  3. Hey welcome to the forum! Let me know if there’s anything you need.
  4. I also think this engine is great, the module system is a step above what MCCodes has and makes it much nicer to build extensions. Excited to finish up my Ajax Chat and get it released for this engine!
  5. I've gone ahead and created an invoice for your original purchase. You'll be able to access the code under Store > Manage Purchases 🙂 Yup we're back and better than ever! New owner, new hosting, new domain (hopefully we'll get the old domain back at some point, but we shall see!)
  6. Maybe if there's demand, the old one has most of the features minus PMs which could potentially be added as an upgrade
  7. Nice setup! I love Tower, it's my favorite Git client and nothing has yet managed to change my mind. Maybe checkout Paw for testing API's: https://paw.cloud/
  8. Work on the chat is going great. As mentioned previously this is not a port of my MCCodes module and rather a brand new module. So far I've implemented the following features: Ability to create, edit and delete channels based on user level and location within the admin via a UI Options allow for creating open global chat, staff chat or location based chats Ability to chat in channels within game for all users with expanding text area and nice UI Ability to hide / show individual chat channels Private messaging between users Chat button included on profile page to start a new chat with a user What's left: Gang chat Admin controls within chat UI Ban users from chat Delete chat messages Settings in admin Hopefully I'll wrap this up this week and then I'll be asking @Dayo for a review prior to posting it on the marketplace for you all. I'm looking at charging $30.00 for this and I intend to update it with new features if there's demand.
  9. All files are versioned so it’s already there! If you would like an Oauth client I can set you one up for access to the marketplace.
  10. The other option is to create an API key which is used by all GLv2 installations, but I'd prefer for individual users of MWG to authenticate with the forums to see their purchases etc. Once I've finished my chat mod I'll be happy to help out with this.
  11. That'd be pretty amazing, the "Marketplace" is powered by a feature called "Downloads" you can view more about the REST API here: https://invisioncommunity.com/developers/rest-api I think it'd require for users on GLv2 to authenticate via Oauth with the marketplace to be able to download modules. Could certainly be an interesting project though!
  12. The marketplace does already have an API, by design the forum software only allows access to it for admins, but we can certainly see if there's a benefit of granting API access to other services. What use case do you have for using the API?
  13. Ironically I started my career ~8 years ago doing an apprenticeship at a Digital Agency that used this piece of software called Magento, I now work for Magento owning a product and leading a team, so I can certainly say these apprenticeships are pretty good. I was in the same position as you, I lacked most of the requirements and grades needed for the job, however like you're doing I slaved away at putting together a comprehensive portfolio of every project I'd ever worked on (including my MCCode mods at the time). This along with my ambition in the interview was what won me the job against ~20 or so other applicants. I'd recommend researching into the company that you're applying for and create things that'd be relevant to their business, in the job overview it mentions "Microsoft technologies" so looking into .NET and other Microsoft languages might be a good idea (TypeScript is also pretty fun!). I'd probe more into what their products are and how they're built and start trying to learn and apply some of those skills to show the interviewer, build an example app using one of their apis, build a similar website / app to what they already do etc. Also you should probably switch to Microsoft VSCode, just because they use Microsoft products (joke intended ?). Apart from that I'd include anything you've previously worked on. You're really aiming to sell your ambition and willingness to learn to the interviewer rather than your existing skills. Be passionate, be ambitious and you'll do great I'm sure!
  14. It’s a fresh install for local development haha, haven’t installed anything on it yet ?
  15. Potentially send me a message with what you’re looking for and your budgets
  16. For the chat or for GLv2 in general?
  17. If it makes sense and it works why not!
  18. If anyone has any feature requests they'd like please do let me know, development has started!
  19. Dave

    Hey everyone

Hey Mike! Welcome to the community, I'm glad you've decided to join and stop being a lurker. Excited to see more from your game and it's progress.
  20. I think you've hit the nail on the head, I'd store a timestamp of the last energy depleting action in their user table entry, then either have a minute cron (which I dislike) or do a check on page load to adjust their energy accordingly. As the user is the only one consuming the energy, and the only one who can see if, doing the calculations prior to rendering their energy bar would be sufficient. You'd obviously need to take into account how many minutes has passed and multiple accordingly until they hit the max.
  21. Please send me a PM instead of continuing here ? I'll be happy to help
  22. Is this on MCCodes? Happy to provide support if you want to PM me more details. The chat for GLv2 will be a rebuild rather than a conversion, so the same issues won't be present.
  23. If you want to create recurring revenue you could look to create a module for one of the popular game engines on the forum and post it to the marketplace: https://makewebgames.io/marketplace/ Alternatively this thread can help you find people who want custom development done.
  24. This script is for MCCodes, I'll create a new version for GLv2 in the coming week and upload it and let you know ?
