Our policy for this isn't clearly defined anywhere in the Licensing Agreement upon MCCode engine purchase and use. As we have always offered reduced prices for additional licenses and subdomain works just the same way as additional licenses. MCC V2: 1 license - $100.00 2-3 - 80.00 4-5 - 60.00 6+ - 40.00 MCC V2.5 (Redux): 1 license - $120.00 2-3 - 100.00 4+ - 50.00 In your situation, even if the game is fully sync through all the sub domains, you will still need additional licensing on each sub domain because each domain is a separate entity. It would be fine if your server 2, server 3 .. ran as domain.com/server1/ | domain.com/server2/ Regards, CB. Edit: However, this is a rare case scenario. Contact MCCodes support (http://mccodes.com/newticket.php) and I'll sort you out with 1 license as a whole stand-alone game.

Great suggestions guys. Changes will be implement in the coming days. Watch this thread for a changelog to the Marketplace framework. Regards.

Seems like this is being developed since the 1920s! Dry criticism I know, but I can't wait for this! Best wishes, CB.

We always listen :) Thank you. Sure, we just added a download counter on free module listings. This should give some sort of feedback on the module and to its author(s). Great suggestion however. I had same thoughts as well. We'll implement a review system later. We'll look into bringing someone dedicated to the Mods Approval Team. If anyone is keen, then please show your interest by PMing me.

Thanks for reporting this bug. It appeared that there was a bug that if there is a same module name simultaneously for V1 and V2 engines then it didn't work well and made one of the module for an engine disappear. You will need to remake the one that's missing. Modules no longer go through the approval phase if it's edited. It now only goes through the approval phase when it is first time added to the marketplace. Mods shall be now approved/rejected a lot quicker. It does take us fair amount of time to actually install the module on the targeted engine and see if it matches its implied description. Reviewing the script briefly adds on overhead also. We aim to review each submitted module within 1-2 days. Further update on the Marketplace will be touch based on at the announcement thread: http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/41711-MCCodes-reformation in the coming week.

Hi Lithium, Apologies on behalf of Ian. The MCCodes Marketplace commission fee is set at 10%, not 30%. 30% was written in the plan documentation and released with it but was changed after couple of days. This 10% fee is to cover PayPal fees as well as other directly related costs. I give the title “certified mccodes developers” to developers whom I believe produces high-end MMORPG features. I flick any freelance works to these guys and MCCodes takes full responsibility of the work they produce. There aren't many, but the demand for these guys are high.

All emails were sent to buyers PayPal address. Please check that possibly.. otherwise PM me where you would wish us to send the deal email. Valid point. A fix for this will be implemented right away. Cheers for the feedback Dave :)

I have the same thoughts as you here Spud. Henceforth, I have contacted all v1 buyers within 2 months and offered them a deal of: Refund the transaction in full or choose an mccode engine from either V2 or V2.5 and its package and license will be credited to their client account at mccodes.com. We do wish for many developers out there to expand on this open source project. Cheers.

What is this, another arrogant opinion shared by SRB? MCcodes was a failure? yet you bought what, 2 mccode licenses? Yet you claim the MCC source aided your web applications development in PHP? Learn to have some appreciation pal. Stop having a period all the time. Stay on topic ;) Cheers.

Introducing MCCodes.com restructured systems. After spending a few months of planning, developing and implementing, I am writing this announcement with pride regarding many new additions to the MCCodes framework. Additions such as, new .com site, a something for the community, MCCode license checker and much more. It has become quite evident that MCCodes has championed its way through the MMORPG industry by providing a game engine platform for keen Web Application developers worldwide. Not only just for developers but also for organizations and individuals who have no interest or/and skills in web development whatsoever but are keen to build an addictive Role Playing Game to bring together communities. Many genres of games have hit the web such as: CrimesRPG, Medieval, Futuristic, Sci-Fi, Historic and many more all thanks to the MCCode engine and its community. Without the contribution of over 18k+ people in the community, the success of these emerging MMORPG around the web would be very minimal. The community has driven MCCode engines for over 7 years by providing support, modules/expansions, ideas, graphics, inspiration and so much more! The main purpose of this restructure is to tidy things up and give something back to the community. MCCodes.com site revamped: New support system: Users are now able to create support tickets within mccodes.com whether you are a registered user (Client) or unregistered. This will speed up the process of reply turnover time (Aim is to make within 8-12 hours). MCCodes.com internal support system will also be compatible with your email address. Support tickets will be laid out as a conversation where Support team at mccodes.com can mark ticket as Resolved/Unresolved/Etc. Revamped client area: You can now transfer your licenses to another client in mccodes.com with a few clicks and supplying basic information. Integrated Client news with global news. Manage purchased modules. List modules for sale and cashout your sales at anytime! Also able to change your account details & much more! [*]Introducing MCCodes Marketplace: The Marketplace allows sellers and buyers to interact in order to acquire and/or sell modules for MCCode engines. Works just like how the popular Android/Apple marketplace stores. Sellers use their client account registered at mccodes.com to list modules (goes through approval phase by the MCCodes Mod Approval Team then gets approved/rejected accordingly). Buyer goes to marketplace and selects the category of module they are interested in according to their engine version – then makes purchase using PayPal. You will need to load $x credit into your MCCodes.com account first - just like a mobile topup system for example. Then you can simply go and buy modules from MCCodes Marketplace. Load $5.00 USD using PayPal, your MCC account will be in DR $5.00. For sellers: You are able to withdraw your sales revenue from the site at anytime. Limit for minimum withdrawal is $1.00 USD. Just matter of clicks. Why marketplace and not just list modules as a thread on MakeWebGames.com (MWG) under the modules forums? a) More popularity, direct access. b) Everything in place – secured and verified (High-end quality) MakeWebGames.com board of MCCodes modules is also now synced with the MCCodes Marketplace at mccodes.com. Note: MCCodes can also set Reseller rights on client accounts so they can sell modules without having to go through Mod Approval phase and receive many other benefits. This right is given to “certified mccodes developers” who have contributed a lot to the community and are skilled. For example: A graphic designer which every game developer goes to for designs. He/she simply makes a module (package of weapon images/template/mascots etc) and lists it without having to go through approval stage. We are preparing the Marketplace to support the next MCCode engine’s modules. It’ll be plugged right into the engine itself for easy installation. [*]Revamped UI. We have implemented a new UI to the site. [*]Back end: New staffing and moderation systems implemented. License checking system implement. Team announced We are proud to announce the MCCodes team at the mccodes.com site. We have listed their name, position and contact details respectively. See link: http://mccodes.com/team.php On the other note, I am proud to announce a team member into the MCCodes team, Ian. Ian is a permanent member of MCCodes and is helping us with lots of development work with the mccodes.com site restructure. In the future, we plan to recruit more people in the MCCodes team to help us with various tasks around the place. Recruitment process will undergo in the very near future. MCCode engine overhaul We are pleased to give back something to the community; We have made MCCode engine Version 1 open source after stripping it! Yes, it is now a free product which can be acquired from mccodes.com with a few clicks. Features stripped/taken out: Gang module Job module These 2 modules are now sold at MCCodes Marketplace. For enthusiastic developers: If you want to contribute towards this open source project, you can easily do so. We have setup a repository for MCCode FREE engine at http://github.com Simply folk https://github.com/coldblooded01/mccodefree Commit your codes, send in a pull request, and we’ll review it. If we think it’ll add value to this project, then we will merge your codes. You can always contact mccodes team directly and we can work closely - flick one of the team members a message. MCCodes license checker: This is probably the most awaited tool. MCCodes license checker - a web based application for you to check if a game URL is running on a valid mccode license or not. If it’s not, then you can one-click-report it. This tool will help us track down unlicensed mccode games out there. URL to MCCodes license checker: http://license.mccodes.com/ That’s all for now. Respectfully, The MCCodes team.

Once again, a very inspirational thread content. It's very effective when you compile the theories into a thread like this. Looking forward to Section 2. Cheers.

Hi Eurogangster, It's a disappointment to know that the game was shut down due to hackers. All MCCode engines are secured and hackfree till date so don't hesitate to rebuild your game. Nevertheless, the MWG community are here to give you good pointers. I have also PM'd you with a few offer pointers to aid your game development.

12. Addictive features - Have something in-game for users to always be occupied with. You don't want to be pushing users away by forcing them to wait for their energy to refill. Their crimes/brave to refill. Their hospital/jail time to be set back to 0. This is wasting traffic to your game, you are not harvesting this traffic. Many games out there do this, and games which don't; are very successful. Nice topic though. I am currently in the process of writing an article on this topic from my researches of MCC accumulated games for the past 7 years.

SomeRandomBastard you're OneHornyBastard, nice!! http://www.thepornstarwars.com/ I've just recently checked out. A very successful MCCode erotic game. Also there's 2 others.. both too very successful! pimp-hand.com is one. There aren't many erotic mafia based games out there so whatever there is are very successful games interms of player base. SilvaTungDevil, could you please also PM me the the game domain game. That would be great. Keep em posting people!

That's wonderful rulerofzu! I have checked out rulerofzu.com just a week or so ago. It's surely impressive and I did consider it as a successful MMORPG. I look forward for your blog on Zu Empires and checking that mod out thoroughly once its released. Perhaps we could have a chat about your ventures of game developments sometime. I have many questions. Thanks for sharing information about your game rulerofzu.com.

One way around this is to set a jackpot system. For example, each user buys a membership pack which cost $10.00.. then $5.00 automatically gets put aside for jackpot/prize funds. In the end, the funds is used to award the top player(s) in cash/item prizes at the end of the round. It's a gamble.. have addictive features and promising prizes, then players will play and compete; spend heaps the $. I have seen this in action where 50% of membership funds portion goes towards prizes, 10% towards fees/admin costs, and 40% towards charity. Very successful.

Hi all, I am wondering something for the past many months and now finally I have decided to express my thoughts to the community. I am curious on the fact that how many MCCode powered, inspired, restructured and stock games are out there which are successful to the scale of medium to really big. When I say powered, I mean that they operate on core engine files of MCC v1 or/and v2 or/and Redux engines with some or many new features/expansions. Inspired means; a developer saw and experienced MCCodes then got inspired to use a MCCode engine source to "recode" a MMORPG engine of similar sort. Restructured means, they used a MCCode game engine as a platform and went through each source file one by one and revamped/restructured it. This includes even if the engine still has 1 line of MCC engine source code in there. Finally, stock games meaning the game is completely out of the box, bought from mccodes.com and somehow got successful (wonders of marketing perhaps). The reason I'm wondering about this is because I bump into many MCCodes games online. Some are big, some are still growing and some are just dead (unlicensed outdated copies). All the medium-to-big scale games, I always spend good few hours on there studying and taking notes on how the game got so big. I talk to the game owners personally also. How the engine helped the owner(s)/developer(s) produce such successful game for players? My studies answers many more questions. Point being, I am compiling information so that the next mccodes engine can make the challengers easier which successful game owners/developers took. We have taken on board many problems/issues and found the solutions for it (thanks to the MWG community). We still aim to continue to find problems and look forward to finding solutions for it. Basically, I want to study points that makes games successful. So, post any successful games out there or were out there which you think runs/ran on MCC. Don't have to be 100% sure whether its mccodes or not. Let me study that. I appreciate everyones interest in the MMORPG community. Enjoy it!

MCCodes v2 patch updates. Latest ver: v2.0.5b
ColdBlooded replied to ColdBlooded's topic in Announcements
We provide a changelog.txt on every retail release. I just like to give extra support via email/skype/MSN to those who would like to have a chat while patching up things. File differentiating system is planned to be implemented in the restructured mccodes.com site - currently in dev. Cheers. Edit #1: Just realized I forgot to attach one in the v2.0.5b package, will be done shortly
