Yeah, the engine was made purchasable at mccodes.com 2 hours before I posted #122 post on this thread. Had to get that page sorted before Loyalty Discount page worked for v2 license holders in client panel. Paul's obviously on to it xD.

Explanation why it wasn't launched in the weekend henceforth delayed for 3 days: We offered the Upgrade for $40.00 USD to all MCCode V2 license holders directly purchasable from their client login zone. However, after trialing couple of games which were well into action and play, we discovered that the upgrade system did not work efficiently by simply just executing the upgrade file/setup. Instead, the upgrade file messed up the game and produced errors. Point being, the upgrade offer is no longer offered. Instead of the upgrade, we are now offering MCCode engine Redux (V2.5) for $40.00 as a package to all V2 license holders. MCCode engine Redux will be sold for $120.00 USD market value for non-v2 license holders. We will also offer a service to upgrade your V2 game to Redux (V2.5) manually. Good news, all has been completed 100%! The wait now ends. Redux will be added to mccodes.com this weekend, on Saturday!   8. Good point made there, Dayo. What you pointed out would mean that someone could purchase V2 and Redux (v2.5) for $160.00 instead of $220.00. This deal for $40.00 only applies to customers of v2 before the release of Redux (V2.5). Purchases of V2 made after the Redux release will not get $40.00 discounted price. Systems will be setup to account for discounts etc and made clear at mccodes.com on purchasing gateways. Variables still the same, mods of v2 will work with ease on Redux engine.
  9. Although when you say reorganise im curious do you mean you simply link from a sub folder or you added a function to include the files into a global file? If the second answer im curious is it easy to edit the file for example if it's home.php?x=home is it simple to edit that to game.php?x=home also do you use the same structure with the staff files? Yes it is quite simple to edit the index.php file to any file name you may want same with the staff files, also you may include files from other sub directories if you need to so it's not limited to the specific directories but it would be best to use them. Existing license holder of V2 (2.0.3) will be able to buy MCC Redux (V2.5) engine for discounted price as specified in the #1 post on this thread. This means it will be 2 different licenses and engine. You can still run your v203 game after purchasing the Redux upgrade at discounted price. So yes allowed to run 2 games which is V2 and Redux (V2.5) - also allowed to grab codes from your Redux engine package and use it for V2 (2.0.3), and viceversa. Redux will be released in this coming week, and viewing version will be available very soon - just configuring it on the server.
  10. Alain is correct. We launched a patched version V2.0.3 just recently for free. This is engine Redux (v2.5) which is a thorough upgrade from v2.0.3 therefore we are charging for it. I would like to point out that MCCodes is a hobby driven entity and most revenues are reinvested into MCC/MWG/other dev to keep everything running :)
  11. MCCodes 2.5 (known informally as MCCodes v2 Redux) is a significant revamp of MCC V2 (v2.0.3) engine made and released by the team of MCCodes. This engine will be branded as Redux as it sounds a lot better than a numerical title. The official version, as stated before, is 2.5.0 (Build: 25000). A bit about Redux: This engine will wrap up the release schedule of v2 (besides bugfix releases) in anticipation of the first news releases regarding v3. We'd like to finish the v2 engine with a solid release in regards with the MMORPG's industry gaming needs. Within MCCodes Redux, we have reorganized files and modified the installer to install the game to the owners needs. A few other features and abilities have also been added to the engine so it gives the owners all the rights and powers to operate the engine to their needs. We have also minimized technical programming involvements regarding the base engine by allowing most things to be controlled and set using the engine's installer and panel. Bullet point summary of MCCodes Redux (remember that Redux is built on V2 therefore all V2 engine features will come with it): Revamped staff panel Re-structured engine files Codes optimized for performance and organizational enhancements (eg. mods/features in /mods folder; staff files in /staff folder.. etc) Layout system. A layout system feature has been added so layouts can be added, edited and changed using the staff panel. (A selection of layouts made by a_bertrand come included with the engine) The default layout has been upgraded and comes included as PSD so it can be modified. A large amount of files edited. So you will see features like the registration, users online system upgraded and so many other features compared with normal V2 engine. The aim of MCC Redux is to expand the development of MMORPG gaming community even further by allowing the engine to expand with ease. So as MCCodes Redux is more efficient regarding stability, security, adding mods and controlling, we believe it'll be successful. We hope this engine drives the community to make more development on RPG gaming in terms of mods and layouts. This will be the last V2 engine venture the MCCodes team will develop (except bugfixes) unless of course the community drives us to make more development on V2. We believe this won't happen as the V3 engine will be released in the future which will be another development altogether.   12. After a review of the way MWG management is run, between Alain, Nickson, Dabomstew and I, we have concluded that yes, MWG does need major changes regarding the MCCode focus on this forum. Like Alain said, this is a web development community - not just the MCCodes community. We endorse the move of the MCCodes board into the Game Engines category to promote this. We have given the job of head of management to Nickson along with Alain. They will work together to manage things on MWG. Their roles will include managing things on a daily basis, being active, developing the community and listening to the voices of the community to make this a better place. There will also be a staff team in place who will moderate the forum, overseeing the posted topics and replies. Alain's words sum up the new moderating style we aim to achieve - "We will be a lot more strict about spammers /flamers / scammers / cheaters / hackers. Which means, if you just have fun so far posting stupid answers like "this is crap, my 2 years old dog can do it better!", forget it, we will kick it and if you continue will kick your account as well. Yes sir!". More moderators will be appointed as the management see fit. In regards to the activity of us owners (Dabomstew and I), our main focus will be on the official MCCodes side of things such as development, interacting with MCC users, and announcement of MCC news and updates. This does not mean we will definitely be inactive elsewhere - I plan to be active on MWG as a whole as much as I can. Dabomstew will mainly post on MCCodes matters. Steps being taken to resolve: - Whole new dedicated server just for MWG. - If still the problem persists, then we will switch to a more efficient forum system which can handle such a large community like this.   18. Jordan did a good job administrating MWG and other ventures of MCCodes. However he had other commitments in life and I no longer needed his help, so he left respectfully from the MCCode team. Just returned from a weekend vacation so will get onto fixing em newb bugs right away. Thanks to all who launched into this thread with great discussions, every bit helps.

  20. I was wondering whether facebook allows developers to integrate a MMORPG game (MCcode engine) into a Facebook API? Insight about this integration: This game will be ran externally, meaning it will be operated on the .com server along with facebooks API application which will run in sync with each another. Concerns about this integration: The "running inside and outside" aspect of this game because since outside can have other ways of registering than facebook. So, just give your views/answer on the question proposed on top of this post. To my best knowledge, this type of FB api development has not been done before, and MCCode engines are much larger than the FB application mafiawars. Cheers.

  24. Ajax needs to be used on the most used files in each and every game, so i would probably have to say any of the listed: preferences equip items, add to market ect this is something we have done on our game worked very well and users loved it very much
