Few days ago, few members of this community bought forward a discusion about: Having external sources indexing makewebgames.io free modules forum where the community members posts free modules for the MCCode engines. This instance has simulated thoughts about MCCodes just using MWG to populate their site with useful resources from makewebgames when makewebgames is not related to mccodes whatsoever. MCCodes understands your opinions. We now offer members of this community to PM me or post below if you would like to filter yourselves out from having your MWG posted modules threads getting searched indexed and displayed at MCCodes Marketplace (http://mccodes.com/mwg_freemods.php). However, I believe it adds value to your thread (content, code work, fame) if you allow external sites to display your modules posted in this website. On another note, will need downtime for MakeWebGames server for a few hours: cpanel updates require us to go up to mysql 5 and we've been camping on mysql 4.1 for ages so an upgrade process is required. We will make it arbritrary time where this site has less traffic. Tuesday 04:00 GMT Thats 4am UK time 5pm my time.

That game has been taken over by another management. They have let it continue for now. Probably reset and relaunch, im not sure. Stay tuned. CB.

I do not recall saying we expect you, a community member to work on our behalf in fixing our software bugs. Prove otherwise. Where are drawing your conclusions from; hatred towards MCCodes/me? We have barely ever answered anyones thread seeking for MCCode product support since day 1. What all of a sudden made you get upset about this and created expectations? "without giving squat back to the MWG community" ..We have given the community a free secured engine to furthermore promote MMORPG titles on the web as well as learning opportunity for beginners free of charge. We could still charge royalties for this engine and still earn off it. Even 5 years from now, sales would have continued for v1. However, our goal was to give something back to the MWG community. As you know, MCCodes is operated by 2 students, Dabomstew and myself as a hobby venture. At times we struggle to invest even 1 hour into MCCodes and MWG per week. We have made this very clear from the start. Hence one of the reasons why I made the reminder thread (http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/42518-Reminder) because we don't want the responsibility of providing active 12 hour turnover support on MWG forums, we don't have the capacity. Therefore I veto'd MCCodes out of this. However, MCCodes.com support ticket are answered to actively as well as my personal email inbox and Skype calls/IM. MCC does not just revolve around MWG I'm sorry. Support is given. We own this site indeed. We have never got in anyones way or interfered. We have always encouraged other peoples work (Engines, modules, contents, thoughts..). There are perfectly fine admins on this site like Alain and Nickson along with a talented moderator team. So let MCCodes (The owners of this site, Dabomstew and I) silently pay the bills while you use this service. No need to rage quit IMHO.

The reminder thread (http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/42518-Reminder) is a reply to Alain's thread (http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/42510-V3-delayed) where he implied MCCodes is obliged to provide press release announcements officially on MWG. MWG and MCC stands as 2 different entities. Hence, this lead me to write and post the relationship reminder of MWG and MCC. Cheers.

Dear community, I would like to remind everyone that Make Web Games (makewebgames.io) is not an official MCCodes (mccodes.com) platform to serve the purpose of: - Press release announcements. - Products and Services support. - Primary place for contacting the MCCodes management. It is a place where everyone is welcome to share thoughts, development, ideas, projects, resources, and so on with the rest of the world. Do not expect the MCCodes team to keep all users on Make Web Games in light with their developments. They will do it through their own press release page (http://mccodes.com/pr.php?where=releases). MCCodes may use Make Web Games community to post announcements, but are not obliged to. If you believe the information on their press releases isn't sufficient to enlighten your mind, then you are most welcome to contact them directly http://mccodes.com/team.php. Their personal contact email address is supplied. Official press release information from MCCodes will always be published at http://mccodes.com/pr.php?where=releases Official support, general, business or/and any kind of contact can be made from http://mccodes.com/newticket.php Official announcement will be synced with the facebook (social media) platform at https://www.facebook.com/pages/MCcodes/115825318446273 Happy coding, ColdBlooded.

This is just the beginning of your journey. "Receive the light, and pass it on". Glad we could add some value to your title in the world. You'll always have me on your list so shoot me a call/msg anytime. Keep in touch. Hats off to you for being a dedicated worker. Respectfully, CB.

Yeah I agree there if no effort is invested then end result will be fruitless. Effort = time = money. Most valuable thing you can invest is those 3 things which all ties into just 1 definition. Very low chances to succeed if you buy a title for a lump sum $ and don't invest constant work into it. MMORPGs never work like that as many newbie game owners think.
-
Alain, like I've said before even $100.00 engine powered games end up making good several thousand $ with great happy large community. Don't be so demoralizing on the start up of a MMORPG title. All depends on how much effort is put in developing "addictive" "interesting" community/features(gameplay). You absolutely don't always need to invest few hefty thousand dollars on a title initially.

McCodes FREE - Request Modifications
ColdBlooded replied to sniko's topic in Requests & In Production
Yes Easily. There is no difference in MCCode V1 and MCCode FREE. -
Sure! Comes free if you buy an engine ;), just kidding.
-
Sounds fun! I would like to add in that the first correct solution submitted wins a MCCODE ENGINE V2 license transferable (Resellable). A Q: What programming language can this be done in? All and any?
-
Oh chill out zu. We have had 100% success in resolving all support tickets with engine support issues. So idk what you are on about, but you've done a heroic job however. Thank you.

Cool. I've added your MSN. -
Hi Daron, It appears that you have misunderstood the license terms. We have taken down your hosting for breaching copyright. You cant resell the mccode software as it's licensed and copyrighted under the law accordingly. However, you can sell/distribute the modules you make or/and have rights to at any place you want. MCCodes.com marketplace possibly. Feel free to PM me, email me ([email protected]) or skype call me (mccodes) to clarify things. Regards, CB.
-
That looks like MCCode source to my naked eyes. Show me your train.php in a PM to prove me wrong? It is illegal to sell/distribute with even 1 piece of code from the mccode source. However, you can feel free to sell the source and its license IF you own appropriate license(s) for it. Example: As you claim, your game is based off MCCodes, you want to sell it for $x, you can only sell it according to how many v2 licenses you own. When sold, you can transfer this license to another party via mccodes.com and send them the MCC based source. Regards.

Nice work. How are you coping with developing inside the v2 framework? Any brief points you would suggest for improvements? Anyhow, can I have some insights of the bank system revamp youve done? Cheers -
You should show us this engine live or in some way. More information.

Your rumour would be totally incorrect. MC stands for Mono Country, the two founders (Stewart and I) of the mcc v1 script which was used to power MonoCountry.com (our first game) - was quite a hit. Then after a while we decided to package it a little and sell it off packaged as an engine. Then made v2 to upgrade a few core framework etc. Here we are after so many years, working on V3. Thank you CodeMonkey. Cheers.

LOL - Cheeky Illusions, I swear I'm going to wreck you one day ;). I thought we signed a NDA for this service. Alain - Cheers for that reassurance. I'll get Ian to clean that system up. Then I shall re-evaluate whether the ticket system's benefit outweighs the retro email style of support. RoZ - We are always actively reading. I am anyway. It all depends on the mood for posting.
