  1. Essential in todays online world and every site should have this, anyone up for it?
  2. Howdy, Can anyone provide some advice as to where the Google Analytics script should go in GL please? I have tried putting it in the HEAD and BODY on the login/logged in pages (of the current theme) only to see the GL script crash every time. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers. NB - Ok, worked it out ... I added a <HEAD> section to the index.php file found in the root directory and everything is now all good.

  3. @Magictallguy ... I knew there would be a logical explanation, I just didn't know it would be offered by you. 😂
  4. Forgive my straying from the topic but why is everything about anything in the world today got to do with the root of all evil, money? 😟
  5. Thanks @padre, its a work in progress but you need to start somewhere I guess. 😊
  6. Thank you @forumdime for the easy, very civilised and pleasant sale of your web property, its appreciated. 😀
  7. Nice module and addition to my game ... thank you. 😎
  8. Great advice, thanks for the heads up. 🙂
  9. I have been looking at both of those themes. I will have a look at page.php but I was just wondering if there was some reason things were laid out that way or the layout just came together a bit on the random side.
  10. Very true and I can do that but for someone not possessed of this knowledge the means to add a footer easily would be appreciated I think. In fact I don't understand why a footer is not included given the types of links I mentioned earlier are vital to on page SEO.
  11. Thanks for the perspective. Perhaps I should have qualified my OP a little more but your suggesting the top 25/30 in each category is precisely my thinking, I don't believe offering 1, 2 or 10 thousand players rankings is beneficial and thats without considering the overheads. What I actually meant was display the top 30'ish relative to the level they have achieved. I'm new to this genre and have no experience with the mccodes HOF but if thats what it offers then offering something similar for GL seems logical. Personally I don'y believe anyone will be complacent with their present position and elect to sit still, if they are enthusiastically playing then their level is going to increase no matter what, which will have the effect of them moving up the scale regardless. I can't see any situation where a serious player would be doing business on the basis of holding themselves back but having said that it takes all kinds and they should be a very small minority. On the subject of individual players rankings, I am not seeing that in their profiles and I believe consideration should be given to including that at some point.
  12. Quick question please, I'm looking to change the order of the menu panels to represent something that better suits me, is there any logic applied to the way they render now?
  13. Any leaderboard should have the ability to display users relative to how long they have been playing given a newbie is never going to see his name in lights and it will be the longest serving players who have generally accrued more of everything that will constantly be on top. Maybe display leaderboards relative to levels, have a leaderboard for users from levels 1 to 10 (drop down menu), another for users from 11 to 100 and so on finally culminating in those long serving elite players who just have to be on top all the time (you know who you are). This should reward/put a smile on the face of those lower down the totem pole and encourage them to work hard towards graduating to the next level.
  14. Or I could be wrong. 😂

    Error:

I too have noticed a couple of 'undocumented features', is Github the correct place to raise them? You should still be able to select a different php version, I found 7.2 returns an error message in the script.
  16. Your a pal ... cheers. Thank you, the framework for uploading appears to exist relative to adding modules and themes, occurs to me it may be a relatively simple task to port that to locally storing avatars ... cheers.
  17. Howdy, A footer module with the ability to readily add links like copyright notifications, tos, privacy pages etc, would be most useful. Cheers.
  18. Howdy, I note there is no provision to host avatar image files locally, apart from the answer "to save server space" is there any valid reason? Is there a module available to perform this task or is anyone contemplating writing one? Cheers.
  19. Thank you for qualifying that. I imagine the license is transferable then, to a new owner?
  20. If your suggesting OP is the original poster then I did and he said make an offer, hence my asking here. I'm new to the genre and have no idea what something like that is worth, so thought I'd ask those with some experience.
  21. Howdy, Could anyone please give me an idea what I should expect to offer for this theme to effect a fair transaction? Its unclear to me at this point whether its to be offered multiple times to various buyers or its an exclusive 'one of' arrangement. Cheers.
  22. Thank you, I will check out the Marketplace. 🙂
  23. Ahh ok, thanks for the heads up guys. I have looked at the GL script and was impressed, I guess in the cold light of day I was inquiring about the theme, giving the script a somewhat unique flavour. Are there and themes available, either free or paid?
  24. Err, dropped by for a look but your hosting account has been suspended? Interested in selling the script?
