Yea sorry mate im Married with kids. I dont do dating website sort of stuff. I guess im a simple man with simple pleasures. I was not coming onto you in any way and if you took it that way im sorry. Im as straight as a board man. I take no offence by your approach though, infact im a little flattered.

Not in my world. If i dont trust you your done. Thats it, that simple. Trust takes time to establish, this is not a new thing mate. Even when trust is established its often broken. This is life. Its a gamble which is best to be minimized as much as possible IMHO. Ifs and buts mean jack shit to me and i suspect most that have put in great effort to create something. Just my thoughts. Go ahead and teamview with people you dont trust. Personal choice i guess.

Clearly you did not read my reply as i addressed that. But you yourself did have a cry about the 20 minutes of your life that was wasted not me.

So one person is risking there entire project and all there hard work by giving access to someone. The other person is risking wasting 20 minutes. Perhaps your looking at this through just one set of glasses here Alan? I had employed 4 or 5 different coders from here on different occasions. Some are now known to be scammers but when i employed them they were credible here. Some were out right horrible coders who should never have even claimed they can code to order. But they all claimed to be able to code what i needed. And were VERY willing to take my money. Clarity is whats important. But trust is equally important. Without spending the time to establish trust it becomes hard. One needs to look at other things to draw a conclusion. Currently posts here is about all they have to make that assessment. Exact requirements should be addressed before any changing hands of money or commiting to work. ie needing ftp, sql access, turnaround times etc. To say i will have a look, then ask access is wrong. That would trigger alarm bells for me. I literally just went over this issue a couple of days ago. I needed some work done i simply can not do. The best way for the fix was to give access to my game and sql. I struggled giving access despite me trusting the person in question. Only a few months ago i had a game owner offer to give me his base code. It is v1 GRPG for which i own anyway and paid for! (now freely available anyway) Obviously i was not happy to hear that. Safe to say he did not pay for it thus he was willing to give it away. This is the problem. Once your code is out there its there for everyone forever. I recall a very long time ago there was a mafia script for download which was someones version of v1 GRPG. I still have that copy amongst my stuff. (Yea i downloaded it) All that said. Some sort of "credibility" meter or rating system on coders here would be good. (specific to there coding ability and honesty not forum presence). I think i recall DP had something similar years ago. People who use there service can rate there work. It would take the fear out of a lot of peoples minds. Rant over.

What's the best game you have ever played?
DAMINK replied to AdamHull's topic in Question of the day
The original prisonstruggle got me hooked many years ago. Man that was fun back in the day. Torn just because it was so well polished a game. -
hahah i had a mate who owned hackforums.net that had a good hack tutorial. (actually he still does own it, gday Omni if you read this.) Cant be bothered to remember the link though but if you can it might be worth your time.

How does facebook spam survive here yet that very amusing sniko thread gets hijacked? Shame on you mods shame.

Yea im with Kyle here. Email activation is a must. I would also block proxy registration. As much as possible anyway. Perhaps block domains that offer throw away emails or temp emails also. But most importantly i would send out a mass mail to the players of the game and ask them to report anyone doing that. Perhaps even give your player base an incentive to do so. Like a small reward to the first person to report someone doing this. If you are an honest admin then you have very little to worry about. If you are infact a scammer and have pissed off players then you will never stop it.

Your so lucky i dont run this site spammers! There would be no way i would let you get away with this. And before all you wankers say some smart ****. I ran VBulletin for years and perfected a method of stopping these pricks.
-
lol ok sure man.
-
Well sniko has been here and replied to other threads hahahahaa.

Pretty obvious scam i thought. Way to many capitals and spelling mistakes. I religiously check all emails for the correct send address. Even then i dont use email links to go anywhere ever. If it was paypal i would just go to paypal manually. I find it interesting, if i was to pretend to be someone else to scam money in real life i would be in deep crap however these people online seem to get away without a care in the world.
-
Vbulletin does this and its easy enough to get around. Look at the nulled versions of that! And they have a big team to deal with such issues yet they cant stop people tampering with the script. If a domain did infact have the engine and no licence what would you then do? If 100 domains had the engine without the licence file what would you do? You could easily spend more time trying to take down the sites than its worth to sell the engine. And lets face it, taking down the site is not that easy. I had issues with a MAJOR website hahahha. Wont get into who or why but they tried to take down one of my websites. (Nothing stolen or anything like that rather i caught them with there pants down and made it public) After a few months of failing they gave up.

Well bios does not rely on the drivers windows will be using and it uses generic ones that do actually work for nearly every monitor. What you often find is the pc will show the boot screen or splash screen then as windows boots they loose graphics. Hard to know based on the little info but i do get your point lucky. Thats why i suggested what i did because its a simple way to determine if its a driver issue or a hardware issue. As for accessing bios, well thats pretty easy for most boards.
-
It did appear by the pictures that he was using an on board graphics and not a separate graphics card. Not that it actually matters now given its working. Still a quick boot to bios would have determined a monitor issue pretty quickly.

I paid $25 to get mine coded for grpg. I thought that was a fair price when i paid, so based on that alone i would imagine this is ok value. Although mine was coded just for my game and not resold, still its a bit of work.... As to an earlier post suggesting that grpg already has this function. WOW i hope not hahahahahaahaha.

http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/45201-Any-good-coders?p=307180&viewfull=1#post307180 Given its a post from a moderator here i felt it relevant to someone wanting paid work.
-
Ha!! No wonder your slow to do your work lololololz... Sorry peter i had to.
-
I think someone here has that mod for grpg. Actually im sure of it given i have it on my grpg game. Might be nonstopcoding or codingkid. One of the 2 i think anyway.

Sure was however a spammer replied to it bumping the thread.
