Your queries are a bit wrong. Line 23 your doing a query for the userid. Then on line 26 your doing it again. Line 26 is not actually getting a result. Your making the query but no result. So you can get rid of one of those. Line 29 is not required as your doing that query on line 40

You may think of me on my high horse you are welcome to your opinion of me. I think of it being business minded. I saw a young designer still at school do some work recently for a local sports club. The site was utter rubbish however he tried his best and put all his effort into it. For sure his hourly rate is less than mine. So it should be however he felt what his rate was worthy and thats what he charged and it was more than $5 and he got paid. In fact we all chipped in and got him an award for his efforts and I chatted to him about his design and what he could do to improve it for next year of which he was very happy. My attitude is not discouraging in one bit. If you was to ask me what should I charge I would give you an honest opinion and it wouldnt be $5. Open source is completely different. That is generally deciding to do a project in your own time so its not a paid for commission. Advantages of doing something open source is that someone likes your work and you get commissioned for something else. I cant imagine any of them doing work for $5.
