Chris Davies Posted January 7, 2021 Share Posted January 7, 2021 Hi all, I recently came across this site as I fell back into text based games, and i have decided to try run my own again (previous attempt was a number of years ago and life got in the way). I have reached out to a couple of people but it doesn't seem like anyone still wants to work with MCCodes (I completely understand why) but i am hoping to use this purely because i am used to it (at least the db and the staff panel) and for nostalgia ! Currently, i have a domain and a working site, with around 3 mods, and a plan for the game itself. I am looking for a dev to help me with some mods, layout/theme and general tips / experience and am willing to pay. I am fully expecting everyone to tell me to stop being daft and get on GL but i thought it would be worth a crack. Half these people saying "OMG, DUN USSSSSEEEE EEETTTTT" don't have a game, or they do and it's making next to zero money - there are VERY few exceptions to this rule. I personally made $13k in the last 8 months of last year, from an MC Codes game, so it can definitely work. At the end of the day, you should use what every you are comfortable with. GL is still quite new and still developing (6 years old lol). You left it open for me to say that, but i so recommend to everyone to use GL over MC-Code for those reasons listed but you are looking for devs, not advice, suggestions, GL.
