a_bertrand Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 No you are not allowed to modify V2 and sell it nor redistribute it. What you could do is sell your modifications as modification without including any of the V2 code. Quote

HauntedDawg Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Cheers angel im sure thete is nothing wrong with modifiying a engine and showing it but not selling it Still, it's not allowed. It's like buying a Ferrari, change the paint job, bore your cylinder bigger and claim it's a "JC Venom". No matter how much you want to change, the core still remains. Quote
a_bertrand Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Actually if it's for yourself, you can do whatever you want. I thought you want to re-distribute it and this would not be allowed. For V3, I would say... there is currently nothing nor you may see anything. If one day they will offer it, then fine. But till then don't count on it. Quote

jcvenom Posted July 16, 2013 Author Posted July 16, 2013 Ravan is messy (political), and I believe disallowed on this forum. uhh i won't use it i will just show what i can do :) with mccodes v2 i wont sell it Quote
SRB Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Care to inform me where V3 transpires from, within your original post? You can add as much as you want to V2, but it remains V2 - just modified more. The whole point of versions is to produce changes in the code, normally at the core, so since that hasn't changed, you won't be making V3 of anything. And even if you did re-write parts of the core and add lots of mods, you're not McCodes, so it would still be your V1. Clear this up for me, please. Quote
lucky3809 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Honestly, I would not make an engine and have mccodes be included, they already have a bad rep in their coding, just start from scrap and make an engine, than you do not need to worry about mccodes, or worry that you are selling something that you are not suppose to resell...
