SHAD Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 In my personal view, i am glad that mccodes is not secure, as it being not secure, it forces one to learn how to secure a code. and also i am sure alot of coders are glad that i wasnt secure, due to some people like recoding thier codes and even making a few bucks out of it. I'd say if mccodes was secure then alot of what is going on now won't happen. Like security services, security ,tutorials, learning about new vunerabilitys etc... and how they could be secure. Quote

That's certainly true, but it's only acceptable if mccodes had been a learning tool, or FREE. If you're selling a commercial product then it's your responsibility to provide support and a solid product. (That's just my opinion) Quote
Dillion & Amanda 4 Lif Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Has anyone offered to secure it for CB and DBS? Because they seem to not really care much about thier clients if they can't give them what they should be able to have. A fully secure script so that noobs aren't getting hacked left and right and bothering everyone posting "I GOT HACKED!" topics on here. Quote

They would have to learn anyway to make secure mods, because DBS and CB even if they did secure it, they're not going secure every single persons mod. Quote

Dillion & Amanda 4 Lif Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Yeah.. I've heard that from alot of people in my life lol. 75% of the time it isnt taken care of. Quote

Dillion & Amanda 4 Lif Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 If they are going to sell it the right way, they might as well put an asterisk with: Not secure under the package. lol Quote
Jordan Palmer Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 If they are going to sell it the right way, they might as well put an asterisk with: Not secure under the package. lol No one in the right mind would do that, Thats like saying 'Hi wanna buy my car? Oh and btw its got no alarm, doors, or keys :) ' XD Quote
Guest Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I agree Zeggy.. One thing to point out here; If you can't fix your scripts all i say is => LEARN & RTFM! Quote
Djkanna Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 It's the best acronym to date... BTW: people who are off topic please get back to the point of the topic (myself included) Quote
Dillion & Amanda 4 Lif Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 JFGI ("Just F***** Google It") Should be used more lol. Quote
sniko Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Ill soon attempt a whole security of mccodes, ill have to learn more security flaws in the basic mccodes version 2 files and more secrity tactics, ill attempt this secure venture after the summer holidays (as im busy until then) -sniko Quote
CJ - Twitch Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I can help if you need me.  I'd say majority here know I can secure, I have a decent enough rep, Admittedly I don't have a 100% awesome rep but I don't think anyone does.  Give me a shot if you need me :) I do. I'm perfect. Quote
Zero-Affect Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Has anyone offered to secure it for CB and DBS? I actually offered to Secure Mcv2 full engine for them and even though i would lose out on money with my offer they declined... So in about 2 years when they finally secure it im sure other people will have released their engines and MC will be obsolete. They have the right time to sell the product but with the insecurities with MC people just warez it (i have a legal copy) but i don't see the point in paying for insecure scripts im sure there could be some legal obligation they are breaking by selling it also, Satisfactory rights and so on. GPCG is the best acronym ever (Go Play CrimGame) [note: not mc codes affiliated] Just if anyone asks my price to secure it was 5% of the income per copy sold (they sell it for 100 dollars i'd be asking for 5 dollars of that). They'd make more money for being able to put secure on their site for the v2 too, so 5 out of every 100 for 100s of dollars is pretty cheap Quote
Zero-Affect Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Considering it being a source it would take ages to go through and update all the code and everything... i think it was a brilliant offer. I think maybe the idea of giving me some cash upfront and giving me a way to see how many are sold is a bit worrying to them. It's not that i don't trust them it's just business. Quote
Faz` Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 If Kyle (Haunted Dawg) is willing to secure your game for whatever you have, I'd go with him personally. I'd say he's pretty trustworthy enough and knows what he's talking about :) Quote
Dillion & Amanda 4 Lif Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 There are only a few people that have known qualifications as far as i've observed. More people should learn how to secure lol Quote
Dominion Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 i think to many people learn how to secure ready made codes before they can create anything them selfs this makes there life hard if trying to run a game if all your doing is using free mods like all the 1000's of people whos games crash everyday then no one will want to play it and it will join the dead games list when learning php (and if you really wish to run a game your should) security should be a worry but it comes with learning it anyway example if learned off php.net there a always links to to things that help "secure" your code all security is means you have made the page/code well so saying mccodes. crimgame i think they really think there new updated copys are secure (i have not yet downloaded my copy) and that i know of no hacks have gotten though there test site (well crazyt's but that was not really a hack and with full staff powers you will never need to "hack" anyway) even if mccodes pick up now its how we all see them that needs to change after all with all the posts on there own forum (yes mwg) saying there not secure would you buy it? Quote
Zero-Affect Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I hacked samplea b and c... no one notice the redirects to Crimgame lol i even logged in and edited the basic settings on v1 when the signin description redirected to Alans website lol They are insecure and they said that game they were selling for 1k was patch c and i was laughing exploiting that so... i mean they aren't doing very well in making people trust them again, i don't see a patch d coming out but i can imagine before they get it right it will be in triple letters (patch zzz). Quote
Dominion Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 thats why i am not worryed about getting the new codes i took so long in fixing and updating the ones i have (in fact i am still going) not worrying about getting it vailidated yet since i know i can show i paid for it now They are insecure and they said that game they were selling for 1k was patch c and i was laughing exploiting that so i think everyone thought that was mad but the 2 games they run seem to be doing well so they must be able to get it right Quote
