So I got bored so I decided to make a simple game which I thought would be fun to play while doing other stuff. I asked a friend to test it and here are his comments. I wanted to create something simple, very easy to play but a "Time Waster" where you would keep going back. There is no goal other than to survive and not die. All feedback welcome! Survive I plan to make a android version soon. :)

Sounds interesting. Awaiting further news. Can't what?

List of Trusted Coder and Scammers - Chosen By You
Script47 replied to Script47's topic in Collaboration Experiences
I'm not saying the rest are scammers, but I'm not going to say people are not without proof either. -
The following are people who are trusted and have done work for other people and have done it properly. It is recommended you choose either of the following for any future work. This does not mean anyone who isn't on here isn't trustworthy or is a scammer. This is list is in to particular order, the guy at bottom is not least trusted and the guy at the top is not the most trusted. DJKanna (DJK) - Thread One Zettieee (Zet) - Thread One Blade Maker - Thread One MagicTallGuy (MTG) - Thread One (Although the OP got a bit mixed up, we know what he means. :D) Dave Macaulay (DM) - Is a trusted member of this forum and has worked closely with the developers at MCCodes. Many people will be able to vouch for him. (HAPPY?) More To Come! My Personal Experiences (Taken from here, will be updated in this thread.) So this is a list of people who I can trust without a doubt and have helped me in the past, and should be given the recognition. I just want to say, this list is not in any order but is written on how the names came to me. What I write here is select few things of the many things they have helped me with. Nickson (Nick) He has been extremely helpful, he was the one that gave me the confidence to post my first mod for MCCodes, also he as been very helpful over the past couple of months. He has taught me so much, and all of that is appreciated so much man. He is basically my teacher now. ;) Alain Bertrand (Berty) I thank Berty for all the insightful talks he has had with me I have learn't lots from them also making me move from MySQL to MySQLi and explaining all the differences. KyleMassacre (K3) Helped me loads in coding NWE modules, he taught me the ropes, the thing to do and not to do. Taught me some good security features using PHP. Very kind and willing to help me no matter how busy he was. An all around top guy even though he is quite an olden goldie! ;) Sniko (Sniko__) Sniko is always there to help me mainly checking code, or helping me with MySQLi. He has never once turned me down when I have asked him for help, and I am very thankful as he has taught me quite a bit and without him I would have known what I was doing with prepared statements in MySQLi. He's a good laugh and is always most informative. He should code a bit more TBH. :p More To Come! Update - 01/07/2015 Thought I'd update this as I've worked with some more people and some more experiences. Dayo has helped me a lot with projects such as Survive and the JavaScript Form Maker I made. I trust him with source code and I know he'll give me sound advice which will help me. W3Theory || Peter has helped me by giving me a lot of advice between the pros/cons of developing for Android vs Apple, and has helped me better my designs and given me many tips for colours I should use. G7470 a very pleasant dude, and very skillful, working with him currently on a project and his advice is always good. Scammers As you know sadly we have people who try take other hard work and claim it to be their own, scamming people and generally doing business in bad faith. The best way to make people aware and stop it from happening is by naming and shaming (I feel). So here goes. DeathXXX - Thread One MNG - Thread One More To Come (If I find anymore)!
-
What about me? :p Jokes. Yeah, those names were going to be on my list anyway. :)
-
Aaaaaite, cool. I'll make one later. :)
-
I might make one using the Collab threads as a guideline. Unless people say nay?
-
Unless he has no defense and knows there is no point fighting it?

Return 1 just allows your to know if it is greater than it. You could easily do return TRUE or return FALSE. Either way it just preference.
-
It's a forum, I will post where I want. Now you're just being a douche once again. Just grow up.
-
Welcome pal. Maybe you can put our differences in the past and start afresh.
-
/** * Some description of the function. * @param int $exp - Some description. * @param int $exp_needed - Some description. * @return int - 1 => Exp greater than or equal. 2 => Not greater than or equal to. */ function needToLevel($exp,$exp_needed){ if($exp >= $exp_needed) { return 1; } else { return 2; } } I commented function, just add the description this help developers use the function too. Like KyleMassacre said, we don't know the contents of reward(); either so that might be the issue. Then maybe to something like this: if(needToLevel($param1, $param2) == 1) { // Reward message. }

Like what?

Very nice, I think this is quite unique if I'm not mistaken. Good job. :)
-
I don't see why you'd steal someone else's design if you've only added some small stuff.
-
Any proof of this?
-
Quality answer, liked! :)
-
Very nice! Good job. :)
-
Yeah haha. Kyle has the smaller beard. :D I would think instead of giving him full codes or links to other modules, people would encourage him to code it himself. So merely directing them in the right direction, just my opinion though.

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by property, but take a look at rand(); use that for the random number of crystals you would like to give. Then have a query which updates the users crystals and add on the random amount. So something like this: // Will give a random number between 1-5 $random = rand(1, 5); // The query to update the users, the field may not be called crystals (I'm not sure). Make sure you have the "WHERE" or you will update everyone. $updateCrystals = $db->query("UPDATE `users` SET crystals=crystals+$random WHERE userid=$userid"); Other than that, I think you should know how to add you own things.

No problem! And good! Always ask questions, if you don't understand something ask! How else will you learn? :)

Hello, welcome to MWG! :) I'm not sure if EzRPG has gone cold or not but this is what I found. Not sure if they are still coding it secretly but I've heard it is a good skeleton. There is also other game engines out there: NWE Panther GL GL is still being made (V2, which is OO) and Panther is still in early release but I liked it. NWE is an fully coded game engine which has good coding behind it, however you may find it confusing so read this and this. Oh and also there is the NWE Wiki too. Which engine is best for you? That's totally up to you, try them all and figure out which one you feel you like the most. Also don't get too bogged down on reading loads, try coding more than you read. However if that is how you learn then sure go for it. :) The best quote by far has to be this one for me: Good luck in your future projects. :)

I don't think a screeny would do it justice whereas a live demo would, because you can't see it updating it in an image.
-
And also in this case, better! Good job. :)
