He's selling a game, not an app. The fact that the game is available as a webview app is just adding to the value. And btw, there's no rule saying a webview app has to "try to act like a native app".
-
That would cost a lot more. Webview apps are awesome. Lets you keep everything html, css, javascript - whatever you want, as long as it works in modern browsers.
-
Glad to hear that :)

Do any of you use a mvc-like pattern on your games?
-
That's the point, I think. Most game owners here can program and therefore setup mccode, implement mods and code their own. So those parts aren't worth much. It's the userbase and their willingness to donate that would be worth something to me.

Nice game OP, I wish you good luck with the sale! But I agree with Peter. I think you should base you price on ~10 times what the last couple of months earnings would have been without a BOGOF offer.
-
Yup. As he says in the tutorial: This is a simple example :) And I learned something from it. Worth watching!
-
I just created a chat to one of my games by following this tutorial: That dude is awesome! Check out his other tutorials.
-
Agreed! Looks really nice, that.
-
I think it looks nice. How does it look in different screen resolutions?
-
What exactly have you tried? I think something like this will work: //checks if there arent too many gangs already $max_amount_of_gangs = 5; $check = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `gangs`"); $exist = mysql_num_rows($check); $error .= ($exist >= $max_amount_of_gangs) ? "<div>There are too many gangs already.</div>" : ""

I made a tutorial for my game yesterday, and I thought I'd share it. It's a very simple beginner guide showing new players a few pages in your game. Easily customized to yours. How it works When a new player logs in for the first time, the only thing he or she usually sees is the userstats page. With this mod what's visible is: And what it does is basically show the player a selection of pages in your game along with some text to explain. A couple of other screens: How to install First you need another field in the users table called `tutorial_step` with default value 1. Then create a file called tutorial.php and add this: <?php if($ir['tutorial_step']!=10) { echo "<hr>"; if(isset($_GET['tutorial']) && $_GET['tutorial']=='next') { $db->query(" UPDATE `users` SET `tutorial_step`=`tutorial_step`+1 WHERE `userid`=".$ir['userid']." "); $ir['tutorial_step']++; } switch($ir['tutorial_step']) { case 1: echo " <b>Tutorial - Step 1/10</b><br> Welcome to Mobile Mafia, ".$ir['username']."! This is a short tutorial showing you the basics of the game. The page you see below is the home page, showing you stats in the game. As a beginner, you're not very strong and can't defeat many other players, so we better get to work, shall we? <br> <a href='explore.php?tutorial=next'>Click here to continue!</a> "; break; case 2: echo " <b>Tutorial - Step 2/10</b><br> What you see below is the explore page, with links to almost everything you can do in the game. Think of it as the game menu. Here you can see that you've started in Chicago, and you're stuck here until you reach level 15 (see the Airport for details). You'll also see the latest city events here. <br> <a href='criminal.php?tutorial=next'>Click here to continue!</a> "; break; /* just add the steps you want.. since the link in step 2 goes to criminal.php, step 3 would show and explain what the criminal page does */ default: echo "you shouldn't see this"; break; } } Then you just include tutorial.php somewhere in your header, and you're good to go! Hope you like this :)

Any casino/game-mod you've got - I want it!
dnenb replied to dnenb's topic in Requests & In Production
Haha :) I guess he means that his own 50-50 mod is a "real" 50-50-mod, letting players bet against eachother. But the mod Script47 created is enough for me. -

I'm not interested in having anything coded, Razor. Only interested in buying mods already coded :) And Script47 had a nice looking 50-50-mod. -

You sent me a PM and you're complaining about not receiving an answer within two hours? :P I replied now :) -

Thanks again! I think a version of that will be great in my game. -
Can you update the pastebin? :)
-
I ended up with having it so that each attack lets each player hit 5 times. If you can't finish off your target by then, you need to attack again, and use another attack turn.

That looks cool, man. I think my players will like it! Thanks. -

Cool! I'm here looking for fixed prices, so I'm not going to make an offer. Tell me what you think the mod is worth, and we can talk :) Also, I'm not looking to have something coded. I can do that myself. I'm interested in something already coded with a fixed price. -

Pretty sure you didn't :) But I'd rather you send me a message here anyways, with a short description of what mods you have and a link to a demo where I can see them. -
Have you got a casino-mod? Like blackjack, roulette, 50-50 or anything like it? I'm interested in buying :)

Revamped Individual Player Shops Mod + Future Updates [$10]

You alive, Arson? -
I coded a new script for my game tonight. It's still a one-click attack system, but it has a few more options than the last one. The next time my players get tired of it I might try adding movement like you suggested - thanks :)
