Hey guys! This is pretty much the same as another thread just posted here just with some different terms. I'm proposing this deal: I run the game, manage it and everything. You get more players. As long as new players come in (by your effort) you'll get 60% of all earnings (after hosting and domain costs are substracted). You can spend money on advertising if you like, or get players by other means. That's up to you. But if you don't plan to spend money on it then you have to convince me that you can get players by other means. Sounds good? Take a look at my current game at www.mobilemafia.net (also available as an android app). The deal can be for Mobile Mafia or for another game we start (we then split costs for new licence and domain).

Hey, thanks for replying guys. I thought I'd set it to notify me by email when someone replied, but I hadn't. I haven't gotten an answer from sniko (sent him an email). I'm not sure what I can post here since it's a paid mod :P But I'll post something: It has to do with what you add to globals.php when you install the mod. I think the method get_house_name_by_row is cauing the error Iæm getting ("Unable to jump to row 0 on MySQL result index"), but I'm not sure exactly what's causing it. Any idea?

Do you verify your players email addresses? How are you doing it? Have you always done it? I just started doing it because a banned player started abusing the fact that the registration for my game didn't require a valid email. Now I've removed the password field from registration, and I instead generate a simple password and email it to them.

Nice way of solving this, Dragon Bade. I implemented attack turns in my game, that you get a certain amount of every 5 min, but I might add this as well.

Why? What did you think of jcvenom's post? Did it contribute to the thread? I agree with Frosty there, though I might not have said it in that fashion. Nice one. Hey Frosty: I think you won't regret it if you spent less time working on the game and more time working on getting more players.

My game doesn't have a lot of active players (wouldn't be a big loss), and they're all participating in the discussion about this in the game forum (they're in on whatever decision will be made). It should be possible for a new player to join the game at a higher level, not always be way behind. I need to make that possible, and it won't be with just higher and higher values. - - - Updated - - - Thanks! I'm doing that with attacking already. Maybe I should do it in more areas of the game.

It would be the same for everyone, and they'd get the message in good time before it happened, so I don't think it'd be so bad. And if I don't do something I still have the problem with unlimited stats. How are you solving it?

I know this is an old thread, but I'm facing the same issue right now. I have some players who have played a while - long enough so that new players will never catch up. I'm considering rounds or implementing a feature that lets you kill other players. What are you guys (everyone who owns a game here) doing? If I don't do something then the top players will get unlimited stats.

Thanks! I'm targeting the mobile market, but it's hard to get downloads without a big marketing budget, so I got a browser-version as well. Thanks. I know the design doesn't perform well with unexpected values, and it's on my (way too long) to do-list :P As I said in my original post, Peter did create the designs :)
