I was just wondering if there is still market or audience as big there used to be, I haven't played any text Games myself for a good number of years now except the one I built myself in 2011. I would have imagined that due to all of the latest web technologies such as html5 that users want more rich experiences than some hyperlinks being clicked to change a field I'm the database. I have clearly seen myself that in the games which I was fond of, being Mafiadeath and Mafiacrime, their daily active users has deceased from what It was, say, 3 - 4 years ago. Maybe it's due to the games in particular and the audience is still there but have moved to other games. I know that some people genuinely love text games which I understand as I myself do also love them (not as much now admittingly) who have accounts to loads of different games on the Internet, but I do feel its also getting saturated with copies of boring text games, which puts me off now. A text game can be created by using pre built code and not modified (if they choose not to) and voila! A game is born, but It puts the original games to shame who's developers may have worked hard to code from scratch.
This is just a few of my thoughts and is a reflection of my own opinion.
