  1. I posted this on FB the other day: Client hires me. Finished 30% of client's work. Client has been saying he would pay me for the past two months, but has not yet sent anything. Client no longer wants project as friends don't want to do it anymore. Client contacts me for a second project and reassures me that he will pay me for the first one. Told client "Sure, but need check for first project first." Client upset that he must pay me for previous project before I start the next one. Client no longer wants me to do the second project.   The payment he owed was 550$ (for the 30%) haha So, I know the feeling too well.
  2. Um.... it's on that thread for free. You just have to click the thread link and then click the download link. It still works...
  3. Finishing up last minute touches on Coffee Pour as we have our official launch party today. On top of that, I am in the process of finishing the beta stage of Hyper Monsters and now jumping into testing stages for the next couple of days. Third game designs are being done as we speak, so in 2 weeks we will be able to start on our 3rd game. Lot's of work, mixed with client work, day job, and training for 3 marathons. Going to be a fun next couple of months.
  4. Wish you the best of luck here, but I see a long and hard road ahead. You decided to enter a dying market. Very few people are creating online games these days that are text based, and the few that are, tend to be custom built. I can see your prices are lower, but after many experiences with the 'RC' engine on various games, it's a lot of hassle and work. As much as people complain about it, there is a nice system set-up with McCodes that have a better structural background for beginners, which is who you are trying to target. As mention before, I hope it pays off, but I think it is going to be tough. ~Pete - - - Updated - - - Plus, I just noticed this is like your 3rd topic regarding this. Stick to one.
  5. Why does it have the Warcraft logo on the register page?
  6. Sniko - Thanks! Dayo - Yeah, we are changing up a couple of things regarding that + changing up how you can drag the pipes on the iPhone due to some people having issues with it. We want to change it so that you will click the pipe and then click on the box you want to go (for iPhone only) to easy up the difficulty. Thanks for the input! Pete
  7.   iOS are someone else, Android is me and my girlfriends brother. We are working on that one together.
  8. Thanks, this one is a practice round. Got Hyper Monsters that I plan on releasing in 2 weeks. Much more simpler and easier to work :)
  9. Yeah, I find it easier to work with. However, the iOS has a better market share, especially for gamers.
  10. Sorry, didn't want to say anything until I fix a couple minor issues for iOS phone control and add in a help tutorial on the map page. But yes, it is out now and just trying to get people to view it and let me know how it is and if there are any bugs they see. Well, I had to hire some people for iOS, definitely harder for me at least haha Plus, a pain with their approval process. Thanks for everyone that tries it out!
  11. Thanks! Still some minor touch-ups, but now that it's approved it's a lot faster to upload updates :)
  12. Being 2 years old does not give it any more value than being 1 day old. Not saying you should accept the offer, however, I am sure you are going to have a hard time trying to sell it these days for anything more than 20$. Mainly due to the fact that people are moving towards mobile games and people who are developing on the web are now moving towards custom games. Good luck none the less. ~ Pete
  13. Just a small update. We have just received the approval email for Coffee Pour to be released on the Apple Store. So, very exciting news. I am going to be releasing the game out on Facebook and the Apple Store on Wednesday, as I just finish up some minor testing of the levels/stages. Will be working on the second version of the game, starting next week, including possible minor bug fixes as well as the last obstacle addition. Very exciting news to finally release a product. Not expecting it to be big, but definitely a great experience and moment to get it out there. Will be providing the link once I fully release the game on Wednesday. Android is still in development though and won't be release for some time. ~Pete
  14. Well, I am waiting for the final review of "Coffee Pour" on the Apple store and now I am in testing stages for "Hyper Monsters" (both, Android and iOS). That is basically it these days. Just working on mobile applications.
  15. Might want to take that down as this forum is known for people stealings others work. With the html being online, I could easily rip all the images and css/html. So, for safety reasons, I would suggest taking it down. Good luck with the sale. Regards, Pete
  16. They are dying out. It is pretty obvious.
  17. They aren't doing anything about it and as Sniko has said, there is no correlation between community enjoyment and invalid license. Actually, one could argue the opposite, but that is a different conversation piece.
  18. Attachment doesn't work.
  19. When was this? I never got a response. Try again, it's pleaman05.
  20. You have energy in the game, so you will just switch brave with energy. mysql_query("UPDATE users SET money=money-{$_GET['PAID']},energy=energy-5 WHERE userid=$userid",$c);
  21. I said it was not responsive since you asked me once I finished the designs on if it could be responsive. Which wasn't possible with the design we did and what you originally were looking for.
  22. Issue with drops downs are that they are sometimes buggy when using your mobile applications. Most people play on the go, so one needs an easy and fast way to switch between pages.
  23. Thanks everyone! Yeah, Facebook is not released until we get the approval from Apple store. As for the iOS, yeah, it is Native. I wanted to go that path to have more control over the features. Plus, went over all the guidelines and requirements, so there shouldn't be an issue for approval. Let's hope! Regards, Pete
  24. Hello Everyone! Been sometime since my last update. I have just now sent my first mobile app, Coffee Pour, for approval to the Apple Store and will just have to wait until I hear back. Little nervous and excited at the same time. The even more exciting thing is that I came up with a second game idea, in a short period of time and won't take too long to produce. This one will be released on the Android and iOS, while Coffee Pour is starting off with iOS (then down the road for Android). Hyper Monsters is another simple puzzle game, but completely different than Coffee Pour. I am definitely having a lot of fun with this project. Hyper Monsters only has 10 levels total, which does limit it, but I think the last levels will be harder to beat and might take some time anyways. A fun idea I came up with was to name each level after a Planet name based off of food products (IE. Planet Cheeznus - Named after the combination Cheese and Venus). I'll provide more updates and the Facebook will be posting more screenshots of the game as we get into level development. Right now, the initial game page is all set and done. Just need to finish up the mapping and when you win/lose page.   Facebook for current projects: Hyper Monsters: http://www.facebook.com/HyperMonsters Coffee Pour: http://www.facebook.com/CoffeePourGame iOS and Facebook release of Coffee Pour is on August 7th, 2014. Full release of Hyper Monsters is around August 14th, 2014. Regards, Pete
  25. Before you insult someone, you might want to not look like an idiot yourself and learn how to properly write... True, little evidence has been shown, however, WildHosting hasn't come on to defend himself and there seems to be some shadiness around him. If it ends up being all true then he sold a template that I did as his own, which is something we unfortunately see commonly around here. This is why it's getting to a point where I am going to be shutting down shop myself and only work with local companies. Way too many children running around trying to scam for a quick buck. Back on topic, we see a lot of scamming lately as people try to put together a game for the cheapest and quickest way possible, causing a lot of shady deals which seem way too obvious to be true to the normal person, but apparently is not. Finally, if you did do the payment through PayPal, then you are able to push for a dispute. So, not sure why you are saying you can't unless you didn't pay through PayPal.
