  1. Pertaining to the thread title, one would only find this a "funny blog" if; One: They knew this 'good girl' and Two: That they have actually heard of/played this game 'good girl' keeps opening and closing. As for the rest of it, these guys (or guy/gal/gals) just seem a little bitter, either that or they're extremely bored people. [Taking up that space]
  2. Well it's dependent on the game owner, due to being able to change the 'default' amount of searches a user gets; ALTER TABLE `users` ADD `searches` TINYINT UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT 25
  3. Urm? The point of saying this was? Thanks for the heads up, iExze.
  4. Yes because it's not clear as day in the original post.
  5. I share the same opinions to some extent (as Curt & SRB) I wouldn't mind players asking other players if they play x,y,z then proceeding to send them the link if they don't (how else is cross-game trading supposed to happen/another seemingly vital part of these games). I would have a problem with a new player signing up, and sending out "Here join this; www.somegenericgame.co.cc/reg.php?ref=3" to every Tom,Dick and Harry. If this was the case I'd probably take some action, as it doesn't benefit anyone, and more often than not, annoys the players that are receiving the messages. Game owners spamming other games with a link to their own game, makes me question their motives for actually creating their game in the first place.
  6. Okay I see this going no where good... If you wish to discuss spammers and your opinions on spammers (generalise) then please create a thread in the game development - general section (seems to be appropriate). As for this topic, everything has been said that can be said (in terms of x spammed y's game) so I see no point in the discussion being continued, that and it's also been requested it be closed (an op can request their topic be closed).
  7. Closed before the thread goes down hill; You've both made your points, should you wish to chime in, message a staff member, they can reopen it. Staff Members - listed here Thanks for the heads up Acer. --------------------------------- Unlocked; due to the request of Skooda (yes I was shocked too, but hey who am I to decline his request); Maybe we can have some posts in here that relate to Skooda and him spamming games, otherwise it may be locked again. :)
  8. function item_give($userid, $itemid, $qty, $notid=0) { No it doesn't. :)
  9. Short and sweet; I like the idea (of using Wordpress in this way). I dislike the look of the game (in terms of design; personal preference I guess) No 'clear' way to register. Demo account for those that do not wish to find the register; Username: Djkanna Password: NXZzued8iX58 I understand it's in it's early stages, so I wish you the best of luck, it's certainly interesting in my opinion, so I'll be checking back as it progresses.
  10. Eh, you do realise a website can actually be an application? (in more ways than one)

    IP's

    Google tells me it's here; http://makewebgames.io/archive/index.php/t-23395.html? (non-archive): http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/23395-mccode-BLIP-Tables-%28Blocked-IPv4-Addresses-by-CIDR%29

    IP's

    $ip = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; $checkIP = mysql_query('SELECT `ip` FROM `grpg_users` WHERE (`ip` = "'.$ip.'")'); //Guessing the ip is stored as a string, theres functions for storing IP addresses you know. if (mysql_num_rows($checkIP) == 1) { echo 'IP exists, blah' exit; } //Continue on. mysql_query('INSERT INTO `grpg_users` ( ... ) ( ... )'); -Scratch, nevermind did not see page two.
  13. Perhaps this "hacker" was a good guy, just looking for possible exploits to help you improve your game, these guys & gals exist you know.
  14. If your directing this at Alain (due to the quote) he's saying that doing that was bad (the code he used, is part of the code provided in the original post) along with the fact the OP is not actually using the $avail variable in his/her query. So in a sense you should be directing your question at the OP.
  15. To clarify, I have the quote because it was amusing to me, not to make a statement of any kind (well other than it's amusing). As for posts; The 'team' delete posts they deem unacceptable in the thread the post resides, so if Alain (using as an example, sorry Alain) deletes your post because it is his opinion that your post was not useful,off-topic or offensive. It is his opinion, and as you say: "My posts are my opinion, whomever disagrees with it is *their* problem not *mine*." Now you and others may not agree with his opinion and subsequently deletion of the post, but that's unavoidable, you cannot agree with everything everyone does at any given time. If the rest of the 'team' feels like decision was ill-judged then sure it will be righted and restored (providing it is possible at the time), now if they agree with Alains decision to delete, then it will remain deleted. ---Relating to Sim--- Is the forum biased? Yep. Plain and simple, everyone is biased in their judgement calls at one point or another, it's just something that happens. Whether this answers your question (that it was the opinion of Alains that your post was unacceptable, and you may not agree with his opinion) or I'm just rambling (I think this is the winner), I hope you can sort this out with the 'team', and get back to posting useful things.
  16. I don't recall much about the city page. But doing something like; while ($loc = $db->fetch_row($locations)) { if ($ir['level'] >= $loc['levelRequirement']) { echo '<tr><td>....</td></tr>'; } } May work.
  17. As it's directed at the staff team, I shall lock the thread to stop meaningless posts, and allow the staff members to respond only. (it may be unlocked if someone else decides this isn't the right thing to do, but for now it's my choice.) As for my opinion, you really didn't present this problem in the best way possible, by that I mean there was no need to spam the boards with this exact same topic, across multiple categories. As for deleting your posts it's not something I've done (even have a deleted post of yours in my signature as I found it amusing) so I cannot comment on why it (or they) was deleted.
  18. :'( But but but, mines a picture.
  19. Best of luck, to all participants. @Alain: Nice idea.
  20. I for one, deny having a smart phone due to certain things, I don't have one!
  21. Okay relocked, either by request of OP or because it's old and worthless. Wish I had something witty to say but alas I don't so, locked!
  22. Smooth with a capital smoo. *I'm just a cult geek for remember that line.
  23. I agree, and welcome back. ;)
  24. The problem is, it was a tutorial. He could have just followed the tutorial exactly, and then yes he would have created it. Or he could have just downloaded the psd.
