  1. My link was at the print vs echo, not at the quotes. As for what I said, wasn't mean't to be taken as 'you are not allowed an opinion', it was meerly stating that the speed difference is so little the fact that your using " single is faster than double so use single " is silly. Like I said last time, use whichever you find easiest, but don't worry about the speed difference, as 99.8% you won't see a negative or a positive effect from using one or the other. Also on that note there is no right or wrong way.
  2. http://phpsec.org/library/ http://phpsec.org/projects/guide/ Should help somewhat.
  3. PHP > 5.4 only. As far as I am aware, 5.3 is still the de facto standard, in a lot of hosting enviroments. That and should you wish to support legacy versions of PHP, it's wise to use the primary methods. @OP: Great start, work on it more and it could become a handy little guide. @Lucky: Please stop with the whole "single-quotes is faster", the speed difference, is negligible that it isn't really an issue. Use whatever you wish, whichever you find easiest (or quick in terms of pressing the specific keys on your keyboard). @Additional (at Lucky): There's only a handful of situations where using print or echo matters over each other. 4. I love Namecheap, always with the cool deals. /time to get thinking of yet more domains I'll never use.
  5. I like it! Well done pal.
  6. Looking good, estimated release date?
  7. I know you've declined already but I'll add; A partnership isn't just about the other party (or parties) it's about you too. Firstly, when you form a partnership, it's a lot different from doing it on your own, for one when in a partnership you cannot just get bored and think: Well bugger it. and stop working on it. Secondly, are you willing to share the 'success' of your game with other people. Generally speaking we find it easier to share the failure, but when it comes to the success we go all 'iffy'. As for the other parties, I can only repeat the sentiments of the other posters. You must know who you're dealing with and whether or not, they're right for the gig sort to speak.
  8. Portfolio? Or at least some previous designs (failed attempts or not), don't make me search for this...
  9. Wise choice, and good luck. @CavellA: I read it as, agree'ing with the quote, not admitting that "his engine is shitty" but I guess it's just the way you look at it.
  10. Got it thanks (removed the unsure 'tag') :)

    Curt

    Happy (belated) Birthday, Curt.
  12. Hehe, glad you got it working.
  13. One: Strings should be wrapped in quotes.
  14. Sweet, I'd have thought you'd be way to lazy to do something like this. :p Looking forward to it, quite interested in the amount of time needed to invest in such, considering one must first learn the 'system' to make the most out of the 'helpers' NWE provides.
  15. Thanks for the clarification.
  16. With Taxed?
  17. *gasp* You're an "asshole", tehehehe. Good luck with sales(I think, not looked back at the original post), Cronus.
  18. Happy Birthday.

    Php books

Perhaps check the PHP section of: Helpful Links there's a couple of books listed there. :)
  20. I don't want to sound rude, but considering you reside in England, your English is hard for me to comprehend. I can understand "u" instead of "you", but why leave the 't' off of 'just'? (or many other issues, like "complety").
  21. I second third this. Edit: Thanks John.. :P
  22. If I recall correctly v2's item_add function automatically updates the inv_qty of an item already existing in a users inventory. Mind sharing your item_add function?
  23. Little confused, what are you actually trying to do?
  24. Because they're asses. More to the point the law is attempting to catch up with the net, so it'll take a little time for it to become clear. Right now, we're stuck with trying to work out the best approaches to accommodate the law.
