  1. There was no need for duplicate threads. The other thread has been locked/deleted, and posts from there have been moved to within this one (sorry if that screws up continuity.)
  2. floats are handy.
  3. Hold on a second, didn't you not so long ago get on my case for stating pretty much the exact same thing? Something along lines of; ---Spud:---

Ah that's what got me confused then, thanks for the clarification.
  5. A way, would be to store the amount of times that a user has used said feature, I see you're selecting something to do with their chance, but aren't updating the table after they've 'used' the function. Getting a percentage is the easy part (actually you don't need to do any calculations for it, providing you know the percentage, 35% of 100 is, well, 35.) As for using percentage in determining the results, I'm a little shady on. Perhaps this would work, essentially generate a number between 1 and 100 in your case. , then check to see if the random number is between 1 and the percent chance (inclusive). This way you have a 40 in 100 chance of passing, and a, well, 60 in 100 of failing. I think, I could be wrong or someone could provide a more elegant solution, but doesn't hurt to give this a try. $perc = 40; $rand = rand(1, 100); if ($rand >= 1 && $rand <= $perc) { //Probably could just do if ($rand <= $perc) { //pass } else { //Fail } Note: Incredibly tired, so I take no responsibility in breaking something/or being wrong and wasting your time trying it out. (:

Happy Birthday (could have sworn it was your birthday not so long ago).
  7. The last time I checked, a normal player is 1, this would also block things like moderators and other staff positions that are generally assigned to 3 and above. Not something that's usually done as they are staff after all.
  8. Very handy traits to have here. Being a developer doesn't automatically make you smart, to be fair anybody can do the things developers do. You've just got to be willing to learn, teach, practice and such. Then again, also solely developing mods/addons for MCCodes, doesn't make you stupid. Ironically it's quite idiotic to think that way. On a side note: How does one become "MCCodes brainwashed", have the MCCodes team stepped up the game and started doing that now? Shheeeeet break out the tinfoil helmets, we're going to need them.

    Happy Birthday.
  10. I'd like to point out, I've not participated in this thread (well until now) nor do I want to, so somewhat curious on where/what my question is. * - I think you mean Dave. ;)

Considering the 'argument' has been going on for quite a lengthy amount of time, I doubt it. Not that it's really an argument, but meh brand it how you like.
  12. Looks an awfully lot like MCCodes to me. Mirror (just in-case): http://goo.gl/uZdPK
  13. For your first mod, I think it's pretty good. Well done.
  14. Put any random crap in the 'domain' field of said product? As an example here's one;

    Help.

Well if you state what you feel you'd like to improve on or don't fully understand, perhaps we can (collectively) help you out. It's a community after all. :D
  16. Yes but say; 15 people. I wasn't there when 10 of them were, so I only know of 4 other people(and their colours) on this project. If those 10 aren't signed in, I have no idea who's got what colour, therefore I have no idea who is doing/or has done what. That's what I mean by identification by colour is lost, when someone is signed out or doesn't have the project open.

    Maybe type slower. :p
  18. Hmm, let me know what you find out. Other than that it seems to be a handy thing to use, CollabEdit also looks cool.

    Payment

The fact that their site is 'blank' (http://www.libertyreserve.com/en/ works though), and I'd have to jump through hoops to get 'e-currency' into the account puts me off.
  20. Looks interesting, it's a shame that the 'identification by colour' is lost if said user is no longer signed in (or has that project open).

The thing that bugs me; and yet;

Please contact the webmaster.</body></html>"); $dbselect = mysql_select_db('database_name', $connect); if (!$dbselect) exit("<span style='color: red'>Can't connect to the MySQL server. Please contact the webmaster.</body></html>"); ?>
  23. Ah damn it, meh I'll watch it on BBC3 later. Edit: Speaking of BBC3: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01ljxcp (GB vs Cameroon - 17:15).
  24. Okay so I didn't watch the opening ceremony, I'm guessing it was good?
