Hello, If you've spoken to me over recent months you would of known I was working on a project called Shadow Legions. We purchased a high detailed template for this site to make it more appealing to the eye. Me and my partner recently decided that the template we purchased isn't the ideal look we want for the site and we are now giving you the chance to take it off our hands. The pre-register and in-game come completely coded by myself in a HTML format, the option to have this quickly merged into a McCode template is avalible. The template cost us $600 (excluding the charges I would normally charge for coding) so we're trying to recoup as much as we can. Bidding starts at: $300 If you're interested in buying the template in a "Buy it now" fashion please contact me via PM with your offer and also please take into consideration the amount this template has cost us.

Have ZERO EFFECT could confuse people with the other user Zero-Affect but there is differences I imagine.

You can use tools like Adobe After FX. It's quite an advanced program but it has some decent features.

If you don't secure the users display image a user can change it to the url which makes a user admin. Age old trick. There is also the option of meta refreshes.

Your text is unprofessional and your grammar is horrible. Should try to have a more professional look when trying to sell items. Can you prove ownership of the work? A layered PSD file or however you created it could prove this.

I should probably engage my brain before I type. Thanks for pointing it out!

I'm loving the new flare in your design especially on this template. Could you potentially do an example of a page without the "top site items" to represent how a normal text based would work.

You do seem to have a thing for collecting domains.

Thanks for the mention twice. Should potentially get a moderator endorsed list at some point.

Ideally the main coder would know Js anyhow.

The user base on this forum isn't very large so bumping probably wont affect much. My experience of you initially wasn't the best, as we're both aware. But certainly after you watching you conduct business under w3theory I've certainly noticed a change in the way you've been conducting yourself. Your clients seem to be in floods and not to mention they all seem to be happy to suggest you to other members and I've personally not heard a bad word about you since this new conduct. I've not personally worked with you in a long while so I sadly cannot say my experience with you personally.

I completely understand, just the option to then implement a library after you have learned the basics is always a plus. If you are wanting effects then I was suggesting to use some form of library, but you'd need to learn the basics of javascript before you start to look into any form of library.

This is a very commonly known caching method. I would suggest anyone with a production site to be using some form of caching, during development it's not really needed due to how much you're changing the pages and other various elements and you don't want to be having to clear your cache every few seconds. In essence it's just forcing your browser to use the images already in your cache before checking if their are news ones of the server. This means the site is basically being loaded from your computer and the page content is being filled in by the server. Don't quote me on that, it's how I understand caching.

I have a feeling we should probably update our filters, and I can't imagine having heavily offensive and racists words on your websites will handle to kindly with SEO and other aspects of the internet.

Hmm. This is debatable. People generally hate games that are ad based due to the fact it messes up the feel of the site. Not to mention removes a load of space on the web page which could be used to display things to support your gamers. You'd need a very large user base to see a decent return on an ad based site. I've never known a game to do well solely from ad's some use both ad's and the more conventional "donation" system, which if you're not aware allows a user to purchase upgrades for their account with real money. Personally this is one of the best ways to generate revenue. Another option which has started appearing frequently is CPA inside games. So a user would complete a survey or offer and then receive in game benefits, but from this the owner of the site receives a set amount of money for that survey or offer. I've never tried this method so I'm not entirely sure of the returns but larger games seem to be implementing it, and the users are basically getting something they'd normally have to pay for nothing.

This is an old thread. No need to dwell on things that have happened in the past!

Personally PC. Mainly due to the Xbox nor PS3 being able to support the Eyefinity that my PC can allowing me to span a game over three screens. Makes the game more immersive but also scares me from time to time. It also allows easier customization and addon systems for most game along with a beautiful array of 3rd party controllers to enhance the experience.

If you wanted to make your site feel a bit more web 2.0 with some simple transitions. (Such as fading and sliding) you should really looking into the jQuery library. It allows the user of loads of simple yet beautiful effects and the syntax for it is pretty simple and easy to get used to. There are also other javascript libraries that can offer other advantages but I personally prefer jQuery for my applications.

Coder/Modification request: Adding additional stats. WILL PAY WELL
Dave replied to Roh's topic in Paid Modifications
If you got some very elaborate system done you could be talking around $200. Considering there could potentially be some rather interesting equations needed for this system. But you should be able to get something which fits your needs for around $50 on this forum. Any decent coder should do this as part of the package of adding the stats so don't pressure yourself into completing that kind of task. You're paying the person to make the changes so they should surely make all of them. If you need any support or help with who you decide to use for this project of yours feel free to slip me a PM and I'll gladly help you out. -
