Hi, after much time has been wasted looking for a good beginners guide to PHP, I was wondering if you could give me some links to where I can learn PHP, PHP focussed on game engines and that sort of stuff rather than the other things.:)

As you're going to take the time in learning it, do it the proper way.

It's not a bad site: Though looking to learn PHP there's not really much, there's one or two PHP specific projects, building an eCommerce site IIRC, probably a better resource if you're learning Ruby, at least that way you can build a simple social networking site in Ruby.

However there is a good selection for: design theory, web design (responsive, adaptive, interactive etc), CSS/HTML/JS/Photoshop.

There's also a few catered towards Android and IOS apps. :)

More of a personal opinion than anything. Before I started programming, I went into the bookshop, bought his book, and it explains things in very good details (IMO).

Tuts+ Premium caters for most aspects of web development, well worth the money and knowledge.
