mike
You get this response: Dear Mike, Unfortunately we do not process refunds. We provide the service we say we will provide exactly, henceforth we even take an extra step in providing further services than we say we would. If you could identify all the issues you are having with your purchase, we will definitely fix it within a reasonable time. However, PayPal dispute resolution center will not process your refund either. We look forward to hearing from you and hope we to fix all your issues within no time. chicka
if you can provide proof that the product is "Not as advertised" which will not be hard at all with all the issues people are having with redux, paypal will refund your money. If more than one person complains about the product, they will suspend their account. I had the same issue with something I purchased with a "no refund" policy which was falsely advertised and I got a refund with in 3 days :-) Good luck
Dominion
I don't see why you would get a refund for 2.03 if you bought it before 2.5 was released, and have been using the product for an active site. How long ago did you pay for v2? In theory it should not matter, but in practice PayPal cares. You could file a separate dispute about each engine that way any problems getting a refund on something you have actively been using, and possibly earning money off will not impact any case you have for the $40. Saying that it should be easy to get a refund for 2.5. Did you print screen all of mccodes.com promises about it being “out of the box game”, and send a copy of mccodes.com TOS? You could also print screen of the forums threads on bug reports, and any support tickets that have been left unanswered. Not that i doubt you have already done this. ;)

I like how he didn't admit in the email that Redux doesn't work as advertised 8^) IT DOESN'T!!! Already sent the exact same message to paypal from the owners that you received! You will NOT get a refund ! I already tried that with paypal for redux and the response I got after a week or so of waiting for paypal to make a decision on my claim was : "We are sorry but a refund will not be issued." "The item you purchased is not tangible and therefore is not covered by paypal's buyers protection." So Mike you have lost all your money and will not get it back. Just thought you may want to know. Paypal does not get involved at all with any intangible goods what so ever. If you cant hold it in your hands it is not covered by paypals policy. So in closing.... MCCodes will never get one red cent from me for anything and I will not be saying any nice things about them on the 20 or so forums I am a member of. Anyone asks me if they should buy MCodes my response will be: Don't do it. The product is full of bugs and is owned by a couple of outright crooks who could care less about the product they sell and seriously lack the skill to put out a good game engine that works. More than one way to get your money back huh? Customer satisfaction means a lot in business and it is a lesson these clowns will learn in time. So sorry Mike but you are wasting your time. chicka
I have to agree with Illusions.. You would think that customer satisfaction would be their number 1 priority but not in this case. So far from what I have read in all the other threads, I have not seen 1 satisfied customer. I think that Mccodes should be refunding EVERY ONES money and offering an apology for selling such a piss poor product with out fully testing it. ColdBlooded
Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We have not dumped the mccode engine Redux work on Paul whatsoever. If you can list all the issues in a format of (Issue 1: x Issue 2: y and so on..) We will fix it, and deliver you the fix within a reasonable time frame. Just like how I have been doing with the Redux engine all along => BETA testing failed to detect several errors, so I went on and fixed it. Whats wrong with Redux now? And V203? All we aim for it to assist MMORPG game developers get their own game online in order to build communities, some fun, some challenges and some learning with webdev. Now, I would appreciate a list of a list of what we have to fix and hope to makeup for this inconvenience.
rulerofzu
You should ALWAYS use your credit/debit card for software payments even through paypal just change the funding. The rest as far as I can tell you still have yet to fix as others have still been posting about the issues. Really unless your going to listen to everyone, hold your hands up saying sorry we messed up lets get redux to where everyone wants it to be then you have little hope of selling v3 as nobody is going to have any faith in the product. Danny696
Your actually breaking a law in the uk. Your advertising the game as an out of the box ready to use game. When I take it out of them metaphorical box, they are broken, well, metahpocially speaking 'chipped' as it takes some effort to fix it. So in actual fact you should be giving refunds on request, as your advertising is incorrect. I honestly think you shouldnt have got paul to do redux, You've also left alain to do everything on the forum, he is volunteer staff, he shouldnt have that much responsibility. Whats wrong with redux? Havent you read the big topic of problems. You shouldnt be getting this forum to fix the bugs left by paul, HE SHOULD BE FIXING THEM! /endrant Edited June 27, 2011 by Dominion Taken out the personal attacks. ColdBlooded
Danny, I have read the thread http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/39594-Redux-attention-bits/ - go read my reply. Also, quit ranting about off topic things. rulerofzu, I appreciate yours and everyones input in those thread. I posted on the thread ttp://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/39594-Redux-attention-bits/ saying that all issues have been fixed, and rest were request for addon, hence not bug. I have posted a reply on ttp://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/39594-Redux-attention-bits/ thread just few moments ago, please read for further clarifications. If you feel that there are more bugs, please state clearly and I will fix. State clearly and I will appreciate, and it will be efficiently fixed in no time :). Thank you. mike
The entire bit where CB told us all to stop whining and our responses to it. Promtped this PM from CB: Administrator -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join Date:Jun 2006 Location:New Zealand Posts:212 Apologies Hi, My apology for breaching the business ethics on one post made by me on a thread on makewebgames.io forum. I mean no damages and offenses to anyone. It was a simple minor rage. It would be MCCodes and my honor to help you with any troubles you are having. Thank you, ColdBlooded. W3Theory || Peter
He was stating how everyone was whining and in response i said he shouldn't say that to his customers as they are just pointing out the flaws and how unprofessional that is. Mike comment on how upset he is and about the whining aswell. Then CB edited his post and deleted ours. It was alot more just not in the mood to repost right now on my phone haha
mike
Oh wow, I didnt even notice til now that his post doesn't have the "edited" on it. Yeah, he removed all of our responses to it and then changed his original to cover it up. In answer to CB I simply said I will whine all I want on as many forums as I can find with MCCODE as a subject because my 140 USD entitles me to. All his responses did was motivate me more to warn his potential customers about his products, customer service and business ethics. I should have added the "or lack there of" to it. Dominion
Actually the “edited” thing does not have to come up. It’s hidden somewhere in settings... unless it’s a staff only thing. Anyway, saying that, it’s not a bad thing he edited the post. You have all made your points, and ranting on this thread will not help. It would help even less for an Administrator to be saying such things. We don't want the site to have such content. although removing your posts may have been wrong. mike
@Curt - so you bought Redux and have a game working out-of-the-box with it without any coding of your own? Just curious. Anyhow, hopefully my post has CB working towards listening to his customer base and trying to fix things in a timely manner all the while posting regularly so we know things are being worked on. I know it got him actively postiung today 8^) I will be the first to post and advertise positive feedback if Redux gets completed in a timely manner without the need for more rants and complaints on forums. Unfortunaltely I have no desire to use it as a game engine anymore but if it gets working I am sure I can find something to do with it. Hopefully domains can be switched 8^)
