ZillaBay81Tre Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 ok i got a question my friend (lets call him bob) bob had wanted to buy mccode but came across a downloadable mccode at fileshare and uploaded to a free host(lets say x10hosting) and bob uploaded them ,but kept the Powered by codes made by Dabomstew ,is it legal to have the game up? or is it dmca? :D Quote
ZillaBay81Tre Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 if i change... or if i change everything in the script (like add custom stuff to every file like an extra commad) to every single file is it legal then? :P Quote
The Spirit Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 No, you have to have a license. There is a free version available. Quote
Djkanna Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 No license, it's not legal period. Try MCCodes Lite if you do not wish to pay, or buy a license via MCCodes. Quote
ZillaBay81Tre Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 ok ok imma*tell bob* to take it down and but lite up there Quote
Dominion Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Well then you may want to look here - Partly (Well, fully) Re-coded Lite however honestly you may want to look at other engines. If “bob” has any programming knowledge I suggest something like ezrpg. If not I would suggest learning. Quote
The Spirit Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 This Bob seems to be a crazy fellow all together :O Quote
Paul Evans Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Well, i would say lite if you want it for free or you could get v1 or even v2 if you'd like, they do have samples up i believe. Quote

ZillaBay81Tre Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 themain ok im getting the file..... Quote
Danny696 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Or do something clever, re-code the files :) Quote
Dominion Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Or do something clever, re-code the files :) Does not work that way... for example you would still be using mcc's database. Quote
a_bertrand Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Would be smarter to start with a clean environment then and do all by your own. Would not be slower to do, and the resulting quality quiet certainly higher. Quote
Paul Evans Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 They don't support LITE so bertrand does have a good point Quote
Dominion Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 They don't support LITE so bertrand does have a good point Honestly I would not pick the engine for their support anyway. V1 has no support, lite has none; v2 has 30 days after that you need to rely on the community. So really if you plan on starting a site with the engine then 30 days would be nothing, or at least not anything worth buying the engine specifically for. Quote
