and each lesson is for example 1hour for php = $20

something like that also we will be making custom engines/ Mods / templates/ layouts / graphics etc.. alot more

So you employ people who are experts in many fields then they learn people the language or field which the people pay you 20 bucks a hour for... what cut does the person who actually does the work get from that 20 dollars?

I like the idea you should maybe also do tech support for x amount per day or post a issue and pay for a reply (free to post but costs for the solution).

Although like i said what's the cut like?

well not proper proper expert like some one that can do the work also ofcouse it will cost them more then $20 but it was just a example

our company will be doing things like

making engines.

mods.

graphics.

securing.

teaching.

advertising.

fixing people script problems.

and probably hosting

alot more

also the payment will be like for example a client come and wants a $200 graphic work after it is done the member who done it will recieve most of the money like $150 and company keeps $50 like that

Firstly, i highly doubt you'll get the sales you want. Your thinking too big, you need a sturdy knowlage of the languages in question, money, advertising, what makes you different from all the other n00by 'company's''? Are you regging your company, or keeping it illegal?

forget that, do a problem solving website and make millions...

Or take 5% of the costs on your original idea which then leaves you with 5 dollars out of every hundred although in the first 60 days have it at 20% while they are on a trial basis and you use that money to do ads and keep the site up + a little extra for yourself... simple (ever heard of freelancer.com)

Allow people to signup for free and post problems but not see replies to the problems (being the solution) so they pay each time they wanna see the solution and you hire a staff of however many to resolve them problems.

You have categories like PHP, CSS, XHTML, HTML, C#, C++, VB.net, ASP, VB 6.0 and so on and get people who are quite good with them subjects to monitor them and solve the problems.

The person who posts the problem gets a email when a monitor solves the solution and posts it (with a link to pay for the solution) IE: 5 bucks to view this solution obviously vary your price depending on the problem. give the monitor the option to ask for more information (for free) and pay the monitor 80% of the solution cost.

There is a site to my knowledge which does this for legal questions and makes quite a bit of money.

If you don't do it ill do it... won't take me long This is a idea which will make money (i'm just too busy to do it).

Don't just stick to stupid categories go into every field you can get people in (win7 help, winxp help, computer basics, cookery, computer hardware installation, fixing hardware, free software tips) and so on

thats a great idea paul but how abouts this

i make a website for our company to solve problems and basically you have to buy credit to make a post

say like to post a problem you need atleast 1 post credit and we sell a package for 100 post credit for $7.50 this way company will make millions also we will have like a section to hire people to solve big problems and we have a hiring amount and how long etc... how does thats sound?

 y do you always seam to post my ideas, *gets paranoid paul can read my mind :S*

Im doing something very like this for HTML/CSS as i get many people asking me to 'fix' there code :P ... user signs up ... posts code ... i fix it ... they pay to view the source .... simplez :P

Great minds dayo, atleast people with a higher IQ than a monkey understand :)

It's never about the money it's about the idea.

People will not pay to post on a website you don't guarantee a solution to pay only for the solution never for the post and don't allow people to see other peoples posts or solutions quite simple. Like a technical support i guess...

I don't mean this in the wrong way but you don't know what you are doing, I run my own company and know the level of work that is involved.

For starters you have to register the company with companies house if you are in England or whom ever it is if you are in the USA, next, you will be employing people, you have to work out their salleries and even if things are going bad you still have to pay them that sallery. Also, you will be a national company and accepting payments world-wide, you need a specific type of bank account to do this and believe me, they charge a fortune for that service. Next, you have to abide by the laws of the country the person working for you resides in, for example if you hired somone from England you would have to pay their National Insurance (comes out at source).

You also need to be able to calculate all your overheads and tax for the year and then pay an accountant to go over them, again, thats about £600 ($850), and then you have to pay your tax ontop of all that.

You have posted here stating you are starting a company, have you registered it, chosen a name, secured a bank account, tax number, certificates of registration, stocks and shares certifications and market valuation, have you even decided whether to go limited or not? If not do you have assets to ofset against the company? Do you have a business plan, do you have the relevant skills to assess each coder you hire for each section to determine their skill level?

Do you have the relevant skill to create a secure website like this? Do you understand the costs and complications of accepting over-seas payments and paying over-seas workers?

Go down to your local lawyers firm and have a consultation with the accountant there, seriosly, if you do not know 100% what you are doing before you start you are going to enter a world of...poo. Starting a company is not something that should be done just on a whim, it has REAL consequences, go self employed for 6 months first, see if the website actually generates anything before you land yourself in thousands of pounds worth of debt and black listed from having a bank account due to bankrupcy.

Am I correct in saying that what doom said for public/private limited companies and not for sole traders and as for the pay/salary while the business is small you wouldn't offer a salary but offer part time work(hourly rate) or even peace work (would be much more sensible)

As fir accepting payments world wide while the busebess is small you could use paypal to accept payments worldwide.

I don't work for less than 70$ an hour and usually I require 100$ an hour. Yes I do have customers at that price ;)
