I have been apart for a few month and haven't even looked to a minimal programming these month... but for what i can rememeber the get_rank query is already pulled out on yet another query... the same one that returns every single stat for the user right? as in $ir['whatever'], so from here, it seems to me that you only need a small math to get the rank and can even forget the get_rank() query

Despite what a_bertrand says... there are definetly 2 where conditions though a common field within the where clause. So, something along these lines might just do the trick. You are indeed right Zero, though it was not the case.The lack of communication is just as important as a down payment. He failed, he already said it, though he could've said something, it would've avoided situations as this one! My point exactly. Completing a_bertrand's reply, there are lots of hosting services around that allow you to set some php.ini settings on your folders, so ask your hosts if they allow to add/load the specified modules needed to use it!

sorry to say but that is NOT even a bad excuse! Just like yourself, i was in the middle of a big work for a user on here. I failed up on him, though i was still able to say (though a bit late) "sorry, i won't be able to do it! He'll talk better when i get back". That kind of communication is the LEAST you should've done, either me or any other clients you might have. a simple "can't do it for sometime" would've been more than enough, but still you haven't replied to none of the queries sent to you! One minor note: as you can see on what i stated, i simply don't care about the reason, the lack of communication for all this time after the attempts to reach you, were the main reason to my early post, which i'll keep from now on!

a quick draft... check_level() function, simply remove the query where it levels you up. create a new function, checking stats as they are on check_level(), if it satisfies the condition, simply use the same query you removed from the check_level(), and there you go!

Lousy excuse. I haven't lost my password so I DID NOT NEEDED to make a password retrieval, where i have been comfortably seat for over an year. I understand that improvements were made, though i cannot agree in any way is the way it was done! If a script to port the passwords from one engine to another was not an option, the least it could've been done was a warning to the user (as in mass mail) stating those same issues and informing the users on what and how it would be done! This is simply no way of doing things!

Re: Strong enforcement of the rules. At last some moderation! Myself, sometimes tend to be not that friendly, yet i don't ever used badwords nor less proper language. Yet, sometimes flames just come out, and i know i've had my share of them around! Though flamming is a necessary evil, obviously the "flame level" can be kept on proper manners, IF people knew how to act. On the overall... i agree with what's coming, let's see if i won't be getting myself moderated as well. :)
