They make money for a certain amount of time and at the end of that time they go to jail. To re employ them you need to buy a lawyers card from a city store which is a collectable item and is kept in your inventory. You go to the capo option on the side bar and and click "lawyer option". they disapear from the list and you buy them back again from a recruitment point. You might have a meth dealer, thug, protection money collector, driver, hitman, gambling recket, hijacker. Each have different life spans. Each earn different levels of money. Each cost different amounts. And when they go to jail you use the lawyer card to erase them from your list and you go buy them again. paying $0-$50
