Thats the one, I have a little game I am working on at https://legendarythugs.com using that engine. 🙂
-
Looks good, if you had a gRPG version I would use it ... as long as popcorn was involved. 🙂

Welcome back @angel1992, MCCodes is open source now and a copy will be available for you to download on GitHub, so all is not lost. I cannot say the same about your plugins though, there is still some free code posted here you can obtain but any paid plugins you had may be difficult to retrieve. Are you seeking to build a game?
-
Thanks @Dayo, you are quite correct in that comment, quite a bit of spam and bot accounts galore. Are you the only one doing anything here now? And feel free to remove my comment above attached to the individual that appears to be modelling.
-
A model you say, and you can pose all night ... you little doer you. 😂

Ahh ok, there was a time when dev's posted about their mods both current and upcoming but without a marketplace this practice is now redundant. Perhaps offering a suggestion to GL's author on what you would like to add to your game may bear fruit. Is anyone at all developing any new mods for GL??? @Dayo ... do you have any exciting new mods on the drawing board?
-
@Dayo, MWG's is the very definition of dead and in limbo, nothing is happening here and those features which primarily kept it running have been removed. You suggest forums are a thing of the past and yes, you can now message directly (Discord perhaps) and get a reply instantly but forums are a repository of questions and replies offered to all in a structured sense, while messaging platforms conduct business on either a person to person basis or you can join a group to discuss 'stuff' albeit with any real structure which I believe is the reason why forums are still relevant in 2025. Yes, this particular forum is a great archive with decades of knowledge buts it's all old hat and from the past, what about making web games in 2025 with all the advances in software and technology that offers? Who is going to want tips and advice on starting a serious game with MCC V1 and PHP5? Useful for an insight into the 'olden days' sure but hardly relevant when putting together a game now. If the goal is for MWG's to be an archive then mission accomplished, may as well prevent new accounts and people logging in. As for ideas on how to boost activity, they have been there all along, restore the marketplace and once again offer hosting service for members, that's a good start. I know that it's been said that the site is too time consuming, to costly, I have other interests and more and I know Invision does not support a marketplace any longer, but big whoop, change the software, there are other options and much less expensive and if those above reasons are why the site now languishes, then it's definitely time for another change of ownership, to people who will give it some love ... in my opinion. 🙂 @CrazyElk @tom39 ... have a look here OpenPBBG - Marketplace, you may find what you are after. 🙂

Kindly Remove 'What's New' Section

@newttster, Activity from "regular" posters is the lifeblood of a forum such as this one, without it there is just some code sitting on a server. You make a valid point regarding the numerous guests dropping by and like as not some will actually be real visitors but I cannot help but wonder how many of those guests are crawlers for the various search engines, I believe a look at the analytics would be interesting. On that note, check the 'Who's Online' panel from time to time and note the plethora of bot names found, then click on the name to find nothing apart from that name. I am glad that you are glad it's still around, I also visit regularly both logged in and as a guest, with a view to observing latest developments but alas they are few and far between. I think the biggest thing we can take away from your post, is that MWG's has indeed become a site intentionally or not, dedicated to 'reference', an historic accumulation of posts from days gone by with very little now offered going forward. NB - I am confident there are those silently criticizing my input and likely some would enjoy a legitimate reason to ban my account but I will continue to offer my insight, if for no other reason than to provide some interesting and current new content occasionally, in light of the absence of same by others. @CrazyElk -

Kindly Remove 'What's New' Section
CrazyElk replied to CrazyElk's topic in Feedback and Site Support
I could not agree more @orsino, what appears to have happened is that past owners used it as a stepping stone to greater things and then just threw it to the curb which makes me both sad and mad. A couple of regulars here displayed an interest in taking it on with a view to trying to restore it to its former glory but someone else took up the mantle and now it just languishes in disrepair. I approached FoohonPie with a view to purchasing the site but he replied, " am not interested in selling it." MWG's future is not looking to good I fear, with almost no new meaningful content, very few visitors, a serious lack of interest by vested parties and a considerable influx of bot accounts ... looks like AI is indeed the way of the future. 🙂 -
Greetings One and All, Could someone please explain (an admin) why the 'What's New' section still appears in the right sidebar on the front page? I wish to take this opportunity to ask that this section be removed forthwith for the following reasons: The marketplace was removed and there is no intention to restore it in any form. None of the content in that section is new. None of the items listed there are able to be purchased. All the links attached to any of that content are now redundant. The section is superfluous. I have included a poll for the masses (term used loosely). Regards CrazyElk.

It's a great shame indeed @tom39, it seems the site has simply been left in limbo. A number of people have put their hand up with a view to taking it over and trying to resurrect the site but to no avail. What version of GL is your game using and what mods do you seek? I am likely taking down a game in the near future and disposing of its assets.
-
I believe you are onto something here, is there any potential to add a popcorn vendor? 🙂
-
You appear to have re-defined the word 'thriving' and yes, the site needs all the help it can get. 🙂
-
I do have a project, I am endeavouring to attract the services of @Uridium to it. 😆 I understand this is an older topic but there appears to be a bit of a surge in re-visiting them of late. This is likely due to the absence of anything new or worthwhile being added (bit of kewl spam, not withstanding) in recent times, so I guess we do what we have to in order to keep the boat afloat. Your welcome.

So, your another one touting SEO services then. Probably don't need to post here, I can just check my spam folder to check out all the SEO offers. 😆 -
AlizHArb is done and I have nothing further to say on the subject, could an admin lock this thread now please, I have his consent to do so.
-
Thats what I'm afraid of. 😂 Here is something I left off my last post, its important and demonstrates nicely who we are dealing with ... nice work Tee. @Uridium... do you think it's funny to get personal like that and share this stuff, all so you can give @BigDog2k arse a big lick? @Uridium ... kindly apologise to AlizHarb, here in this public forum. 🙂
-
Thanks for speaking out @JFOC.
-
Well, I have to believe that @BigDog2k is @Teetdog and 'Tee' in other incarnations. I apologise beforehand to other forum members, for what has become somewhat of a one-sided bashing relative to this matter, it really is something to be sorted behind closed doors between the respective parties but given the public nature of what has gone before, because there is always two sides to a story and because I have some insight into what transpired, I will add my two cents worth here to provide some perspective and because some will find it interesting. I have used AlizHarb's services from the get-go and consider him a friend and given he won't speak for himself it behoves me to say a little something on his behalf, as he would prefer to retreat, rather than embody any additional confrontation. Firstly, the character of his attacker becomes evident when this accuser, after having been removed from the forum, forces himself back onto members here via another account, that he may continue what amounts to a vindictive and spiteful assault on Aliz Harb. As if that was not bad enough, by his own admission suggested he considered "dumping every db on all the sites that use Ali code", does that suggest a person of integrity to you? I don't think so. He goes on to suggest " Ali tested me to see how much I knew and I played dumb from day one and it opened everything up about him." but I am confused as to why someone who purports to have knowledge (presumably coding) would go into a relationship with AlizHarb at all, particularly given the volume of contracted work, he even had AlizHarb on retainer (see retain.png). Can't he do his own developing if he is so knowledgeable, why rely on AlizHarb to fix his issues and why claim to start a relationship on a footing of mistrust at all, something smells a bit off methinks. And note carefully the "Yeah I was fucking with you" comment in whoops.jpg, which is the go-to of a bully after making some shit remark and then trying to get back on side. Aka, he meant it until he was challenged, then it's all 'lol'. Ok, even if there were exploits in some code and EVERY piece of soft ever written has them, the thing to do is to report them to the developer so that they can be addressed, not run around squealing like a pig "injections, injections", unless of course it was your intention to destroy someone's credibility deliberately, which I believe may be the case here (for reasons that may become clear) and then don't forget to add in the fact the www was trolled for every place AlizHarb had a presence in order to do further deliberate harm, including PayPal and Codester after AlizHarb turned him away. @BigDog2k ... the word 'scammer" has been liberally applied all over but define being scammed as it applies to you, what was your loss, how did you suffer? Please share with us so that we may be enlightened. It occurs to me that the USD$600 you still owe to AlizHarb might be more of a scam on your part than what you're banging on about ... see cd.png. And it is worth noting that your site at https://rwmafia.com appears to be happily using AzhCodes and associated modules, I am not seeing that you cast them aside as unusable, unsuitable, unfit for purpose or in righteous indignation, you little scallywag. Ohh and by the way, that site is presently riddled with console errors (as of 3.50PM - 9/12/2024 and not there a couple of days ago) making it unusable, so I have to imagine you have been 'programming' once again. 🙂 Ok ladies and gentlemen, we all know there are TWO sides to a story, you have heard Tee/Teetdog/BigDog2k's (and who else uses multiple alias's like a criminal, hands up?) but I would ask that you give consideration to the fact that this could be the actions of a spiteful and vindictive individual, who after things not going his way decided to become very nasty indeed. Tee/Teetdog/BigDog2k suggested that "I have messages from him (meaning AlizHarb) where he told me opening visual code was breaking things" ... I have attached an image (whoops.jpg) which is part of a dialog between the two parties, where that very thing was suggested, but the culprit was in fact Tee, with him admitting to messing with the code, not being able to fix it himself and pleading with AlizHarb to correct his cockup AGAIN! Is that the action of a whiz bang coder, someone able to uncover SQL injection issues or a kiddie scripter who knows little to nothing? And pay careful attention to the bit where AlizHarb tells Tee not to threaten him AGAIN and tells him he is walking away not wanting to be scammed further. As it turns out Tee got nasty after Chris Day got in his ear (cd.png) for some reason. Now it's true that Chris had a problem with AlizHarb using his payment mod for a bit but that was sorted eventually and should not have been the reason for him making bullets for Tee to fire. I have a theory however, because AzhCodes was better than GL in many ways, cosmetically with awesome themes, game play wise and because of the many new mods quickly released and extremely responsive nature of support, and because AzhCodes was more popular and making more sales than GL, whose interest would it be in if AzhCodes should simply disappear altogether, anyone care to answer? On the subject of SQL injections and because its seemingly ok to blurt that shit out here, I offer this. I commissioned Chris Day to write a little sitemap mod for me going back a while, with rights passing to me that I might use it and offer it to others for a couple of dollars and licenced it for AlizHarb's use, well guess what? It contained an SQL exploit that likely started all this shit to begin with and if that's not bad enough, GL has an SQL injection issue in the HTTP method that may have been known about for some time, was a patch offered to anyone? ... check sql.png. Ok, so what can we take away from all this then? 1 - Tee/Teetdog/BigDog2k is not a coders bootlace and was likely offered the information about SQL injections from an individual or individuals (his associates) who did the actual hacking on one of AlizHarb's customer sites, he simply saw an opportunity to do harm after AlizHarb cut him off for not paying the sum of USD$600 he was owed, for mods and work done and not providing any further free mods. 2 - Other parties stood to gain from AlizHarb and AzhCodes being removed from the scene. 3 - SQL injections are a fact of life and should be treated with consideration, that the author might patch them, as opposed to using them as a sledgehammer to destroy someone's reputation and business. 4- AlizHarb was threatened by this individual more than once (to do the exact thing he ended up doing) and was owed USD$600 when the relationship ended. 5 - A scammer by nature, perpetuates their rort on multiple targets to maximise any benefits and AlizHarb had literally hundreds of clients. Has ANYONE else here been scammed by AlizHarb or harmed in any way or do they know of anyone this has happened to, speak up, there is nothing to fear. And of course, if you found him to be considerate, helpful and NOT a scammer, you are welcome to speak to that point also. 6 - I personally have found his work to be exemplary, extremely timely, his fee's fair and his support unrivalled. 7 - You should not do business with Mr Tee/Teetdog/BigDog2k. 8 - There are some very nasty people in the world. 9 - The best lies are 90% truth and Mr Tee/Teetdog/BigDog2k whilst not being terribly articulate appears clever enough to realise that (or did he have more help) and has manipulated the truth to cast himself in a good light at the expense of AlizHarb. As I suggested, there is a lot more to this than meets the eye, but it all boils down to spiteful, vindictive and nasty. Forgive my perpetuating this situation but like I said, there are two sides to every story and as we all know, truth is stranger than fiction. And forgive me AlizHarb, for telling some of your story but arsewipes do not go scott free. Cheers. NB - @Uridium ... next time I find myself jammed up, I would certainly want you in my corner, you pillar of strength, you. 🙂 NNB - You give any thought to coming after me Mr Tee/Teetdog/BigDog2k, you will find a bigger fucking mouthful than you can chew on, I live for confrontation as it pertains to individuals such as yourself. 🙂 NNNB - I have more, do I need it?? 😂

Sounds like teetles may be stirring the pot.😂

Dear MakeWebGamers, It appears some clarification is required as to my site at https://legendarythugs.com, so let there be light! I initially approached orsino on Oct 11th, 2024, with regards to purchasing GangsWay and there were NO other suitors at that point in time. After further deliberation I decided I did not want GangsWay but rather I would buy the LegendaryThugs component (still no other suitors), leaving him with GangsWay to sell ... with me so far? On Oct 14th 2024, a transaction occurred whereby I paid orsino a sum of money and in return acquired the gRPG code and the LegendaryThugs layout ... still with me? After a short period of time a gentleman by the handle of LUNATIC appeared in the games Discord channel suggesting as he eventually purchased the GangsWay game, that he in fact may own the rights to LegendaryThugs, which I refute in the extreme ... I purchased that property PRIOR to him, meaning if any rights are to be assigned, they fall to me. A number of individuals have joined the game for a look, including individuals from MWG who might have been a bit confused as to what transpired, this post is to enlighten those interested and set things straight. CrazyElk.

Good SEO to encourage organic traffic ... search engines eat that stuff up and the more organic traffic you have they more they promote you in the SERPS.

The issue is with you viewing the site before the SSL provider has issued a valid certificate which is generally an automatic process. I would be surprised if when you try to resolve the site now it did not show a little green padlock. 🙂 Having said that, if you still experience issues, send me a PM, it's an easy fix in any event and I will walk you through it. Ohh, perhaps use the https:// prefix the first time around, you may not yet have it set to force redirection.
