Well that would be the difference between you and I. I do not see it as acceptable. You do. So mccodes staff both old and new (not forum mods thats community work) do not bother even answering q's about their product. Obviously some do not know the code nor have access to it themselves. Does that not strike you as a bit odd? So what exactly are they doing?? I do not see CB, Dabs, Paul or anyone else that is a mccodes member of staff answering q's on their product. This new member is not capable of answering as he does not have access to the code by no fault of his own. Its not a direct attack on this person directly but against mccodes themselves. Yeah they will take your lic money. Release new, and I use the term new very lightly perhaps slightly re-programmed, engines but will not support it. They are working on a new version of the engine which most likely they will answer a few q's initially and then disappear again once more. Was this topic the place for this. Is there a base value for what your trying to achieve. Ie Base price is 15 + what ever option or is it just the option price. DJK's code works as berty has stated you just need to work out what your trying to do.

You dont have DDOS detection/prevention on the server you do this before the server and have backup network solutions. DDOS comes in through one route into the datacenter they route traffic through a different node and your back in business. There aint many datacenters that can handle a large ddos and those that can will generally only re-route traffic if its affecting a lot of servers. If its just being targetted at a particular subnet then they will simply disconnect you from the network so your down but the rest of their network is not suffering.

Sheesh you know less than I thought you did CB which is not a lot to begin with. Lets dumb it down a bit for you. A script is insecure on your server. They hack into the server through the script (see look still no mention of SSH) They then write onto the server itself and are now in control of your server. So unless you wipe the drive then your server is still compromised.

As the server was never actually offline. Just the index pages then Im assuming all they have done is replace the index files back to originals. So we are all discussing this on an exploited server. The server hard drive should be wiped and everything reinstalled obviously not bringing back the redux demo, monodistrict and any other mccodes demos and updating VB to the latest version. Really IF you cannot be bothered to do that then delete my account as I do not wish my details stolen and as David has stated your already in breach of the data protection act. Ive already had one spam msg from here from someone I dont know. Have never know....

From what I can tell its the most likely scenario. As the index files have all been replaced for this site, monodistrict (which is the only site they have bothered to do anything about) and mccodes.com. Always upgrade usually this is done by bots just looking for sites running older versions and then exploit the server. Quick upload execute script and your index files are all toast and it usually creates new html, htm files

Why bother? You wish your site with nothing on it which is not complete to be like this site but do not have the time to do it yourself so your looking for people to come from this site and do it for you. I do not see any incentive for anyone to help you as the users here could just remain here with what they already have.

I do also think you should be doing this yourself. As the users table stores the relevant information then its a simple check routine. If you cannot do this then why you even trying to make a game

Oh really. As all the players in all the games that I know and have played all rely on such to know who is online. Games such as these thrive on their community if there is no community then it slowly dies. I dont believe its anything to do with spam at all ;)
