Please at least try and post constructive criticism rather then just attacking a mod. As he said feel free to make it yourself.
-
Not your call...
-
Then show people with a demo ;)
-
You may also want to get a demo online helps with sales and anyone asking if it's secure (since they just attack the demo :p )
-
In my opinion Equinox is right they look like the same mod with small edits. maybe sell them as a pack (at whatever price you pick obviously).bigger mods tend to sell more anyway from what i have seen.
-
There is an old free one for v1 that should be easy to get working on lite. I will look for a link later if i find time. If not 90% sure it's an 07 post by oxidati0n.
-
It's still on here the link is just gone, no idea why  http://makewebgames.io/index.php?page=DownloadDBView&katID=1

Well it would be self proclaimed to a point so if you have over 150 posts you need a pass? I think this is a good idea but i may be in the minority.
-
Well you could have one staff member fixed to the noob area? I fell as of late it's been better, however we can not stop people posting and by the time we get there more often then not the "noob" has seen the post.
-
I would not go by level neally everyone could post there. I like the pass idea you said in chat so only set users can post there after a set rank you no longer can post unless you have the pass. :P @danny - you would not only be able to post there it would just be extra so people like that could still help the noobs :)
-
I see your point here, however i don't think you see mine. are you part of a company that takes $100 off someone to make the tea? no but your make layouts and people have been using you site as an example that is why this post is valid. The clear attacks not so much in my opinion.
-
I think you forgot to post it? link or screenshot...
-
In my opinion as long as it's protected a lot more from people just passing it around i would be happy. Well that and secure, clean code, better interface etc. You should consider putting things like crystal names (assuming you're going that way) in an variable so people can change them quickly and easily. The gangs need improving so vassals, defence pacts alliances and something to stop massive gangs just dominating the game may help. Economy control somehow so you can take 10% of money away from everyone in a click, not sure the users would like it but may help some people. To many resets due to high a economy.

Same as everything else, if it was done people would use it, however few are willing to put the time into making it. If you want to do something like this still then get a list of people willing to make time for it and give them all one thing to write about. Less time should mean more people are willing to help out. The only real downside would be lots of different code styles popping up in one article. If that does not work then it will be a short article, however still there for people to learn the basics.
-
Nice mod would have been worth the $1 if you reposted as a paid mod, however happy to take it free lol.
-
Looking for a complete Gang system
Dominion replied to Eurogangster's topic in Requests & In Production
Just to clear this up, paid request or free one? -
actually for the record that was not aimed at you in any way blade maker It's down to you, however i did find it a very strange way to pick who is doing a paid mod.
-
Not really the best way to do this tbh... Before giving a job to anyone make sure you ask around about them (e.g. in chat or even post asking if there not bad they won't mind) look into the posts they have made. If you do pick to give the job out to the quckest one to pm you make you you don't pay upfront so many people on so many sites will just take you money and leave no matter how small/big the amount.
-
Not a 1/2 done DIY job, however I think learning yourself is so much better than paying someone. Helps you learn and when bugs pop up you can fix it without waiting for someone else.
-
There are so many posts on this now your best bet is to look around mwg for the "known bugs" things like forums, cmarket and display picture "hack" will pop up. What you can do is do up a file that has been done before (e.g. cmarket/prefs) and compare them to the secure copy OR post and allow us to do it. Which Pages to Secure your game---A must read--- - http://www.webcheatsheet.com/php/regular_expressions.php Learn about regular expressions. - http://www.phpro.org/tutorials/PHP-Security.html A little more security. - http://php.robm.me.uk/ A lot more security. - http://www.phpro.org/tutorials/Filtering-Data-with-PHP.html Learn about php filters can help with most parts of security. - Session Hijacking Protection A little stop gap for session hacking for mccodes.

what's your skill set? html, php etc... budget for the project? i assume a partner would have to match it amount of time you think you can put in per week? size of the project you are looking into? skill set of anyone thinking about it?
-
There are so many free game engines to point you to only one I would have to know more. http://makewebgames.io/index.php?page=DownloadDBView&katID=1 Before picking an engine "better then mccodes v1" look at the more basic ones zap engine, ezrpg even mccodes lite. Zap and ezrpg and a lot better then mccodes (in my opinion) well more basic and not ready out of the box they are very easy to add-on to. If you go lite you get the 75 pages of free mods for mccodes that are on mwg. Anyway look around post more about the theme of game you wish to setup and I am sure there would be an engine suitable.
-
you mean this? [mccode v2.x] My First Mod for you guys You're 2 years late to say you were the 1st one todo this, as for one of the 1st i only know of 3 for mccodes and yours is 3rd (in chronological order anyway). @03laceys - free mods are always nice so if you get time to redo it i am sure people will use it. :)
-
Nice to see you giving it ago. :)
-
Well the new site looks better then the old one by far, however the text for the "free mods" part looks wrong - http://mccodes.com/viewmod.php?id=1 (i only looked at one so it may be the one mod) The support is setup alot better so well done on that. I would also layout what you can and can't do with the engines a little better e.g. - Does this mean if i wish to sell my site on and it's still (even if only around 70%) mccodes v2 i can not sell? it does say "under any circumstances" so you may wish to add a "what you can do" page (that is if you don't mind licenses being sold on etc). what's next for mccodes part there was no v3 so did you miss it out or is it just not one of your top priorities at the moment? Anyway well done on the site. It's nice to see mccodes active and even adding a new member to its team.
