Also happens to unordered lists, list items and images, I believe VB tries to convert certain things into bbcode (for example anchor tags) for you, even when we don't want it too.
-
I may be wrong, but what you've provided isn't the full script and just an excerpt, if it is the full script, where exactly is $r['itmname'] defined?
-
Approximate budget? Your opinion on the difficulty/size of each script that needs fixing? Alternative forms of contact, (other than the obvious pm on here)? Any additional details, are always helpful when looking for a programmer.

Hi there, Please limit topics concerning the same subject, three topics all saying the same thing in three separate boards isn't needed. Also moved to Browser Games. Thanks -DJK.

Editor vs IDE, and what to choose?
Djkanna replied to Nickson's topic in Programming Tools, Software and much more
My experience with Vim lacks, and yes it does somewhat have a steep learning curve I guess, there's recently been an influx of Vim orientated tutorials and screen-casts over at NetTuts+ that may be worth checking out. -

NetBeans, Vim, for building an entire project, then there's Notepad++ & Aptana which is useful for quick edits, and I use them when coding layouts or general html/css orientated things. -
Hmm, yes I'm not too sure, what was so special about WBB's portal. We have a portal here or at least a landing page with all the content that's needed upon first login/hit. It shows the last topics, articles, blogs among other things, unless I've really no idea what WBB's portal looked like, I don't see much difference.

You might like my phone, it's bog standard, from like maybe 2006-7 the most advance feature it has is probably bluetooth. :D
-
Now this is one feature I do like, just have to think of what to say! :)

That I understand, however a little heads up to the community should have happened, I'm sure we'll all learn to love VB and WBB really didn't work as Alain said, I will however stick to my original thought, it may have been a little hasty, after all one day the staff were notified of what it would look like via a sub-domain, the next it's in full motion on the main site.
-
I've no problem not being able to see them, no one ever sends me anything interesting, but I could do without the "Notifications 223" at the top, it was at 40*something* but it went down after deleting all sent items and emptying an empty inbox.

Now this may be a stab in the dark but the name may give away what operating system is used. :P Wamp -> Windows Lamp -> Linux Mamp -> Mac :D I've not encountered this previously, however all of a sudden with the latest release of Wamp it's been occurring here also.

You know, even though it was discussed privately between Nickson/Alain and MCCodes as well as the staff team, I do agree with Peter, this shouldn't have been just a staff/owner decision. After all it's the same people that were attempting to get the whole community feel back again. Don't get me wrong, I like WBB and I like VB and I'm sure we'll come to appreciate the hard work Nickson and Alain put into the move, just it may have been a little hasty.

I like, it'll take some getting used too, but hey a forum is a forum.

You can find mine in the shops, LA Noire is my next game.

Yes, for some reason I was oddly attracted to this topic, due to that name. Albeit not in a sensual way, just in the form of 'What the *fill in the blank*. Well I agree with all points above, name could be improved but best of luck either way. @Zan: Hosting is cron-jobs not Domain providers.

Sorry but there is no topic to stay on... And yes now I remember, also sorry EQ. ;(

Even so, there's die hard Coffee fans (I should know I'm signed up) but I wouldn't make a game about it... Though I see your point, but the original point is even though the audience of these types of games is diverse, the only ones that do well usually are either the crime/mafia/other crap like the previous two, or a type of simulation (which in itself is a wide range of different genres all rolled up into one). Medieval has it's stand, but there is no denying the crime world has taken it's spot as one of the most used (dare I say overused) genres of browser games. We also have, Space, Racing, Adventure RPG, Some form of supernatural genre (Heaven vs Hell, Vampires (which is my next project 8o ) sort of thing. While I agree be unique, cult (media cult, don't get all freaky on me) followings generally have there upsides (take Due South for example (sorry TV Film/Series reference)), unequivocally the way to go for the money and the general success in PBBG has to be that overused genre of crime. I've yet to see an Army/(today's Military) based genre do well in the form of PBBG, although it has done exceptionally well in other forms of games (for example video games and the 'Call Of Duty'/'Medal Of Honor' series', but who knows maybe that's the next big thing after everyone gets over the whole crime fiasco.

Equinox, oh oops. :P I think it was um damn nor can I remember...
-
Yes I have, with Pat 'Bomber' Roach and Jimmy Nail. Great show, and yes they were builders, but that doesn't mean that Auf Wiedersehen Pet would make a good text based game. :P

You do mean Freemason right? As a game about three builders/brick layers I cannot see potential in...

Join the chat, most of us are usually in there at some point during the day.

Blood is also blue, but that doesn't look as good. Oh and blood is generally bright red, why the chuff has this now just turned into a biology discussion... O_o
