Cronus Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) Custom Donator Packs w/ IPN This is a fully working system to allow you to create donator packs with specific things inside, with an IPN. This mod will let you fill out the form for what you want in the pack, and actually create the item for you without any work. You can choose the number of crystals, donator days, game money, and add up to 5 items. (each with their own quantity) It then adds the donator pack to the donate page, listing everything that is inside, and this is all run on a secure IPN. (no penny sales) You can also deactivate donator packs and they will stay on the admins list so that you can activate it later if you would like. (great for DP specials) Everything is automated and installation is easier than you can imagine, should only take about 5 minutes maximum. NEW! The donator mod has been upgraded from its previous version. It now includes the ability to create BOGO's at any time. Also, it logs all purchases, you can now view all transactions, see your top donators, and search for members individually and see their donations. http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate1.jpg http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate2.jpg http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate3.jpg http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate4.jpg http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate5.jpg http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate6.jpg http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate7.jpg http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate8.jpg http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate9.jpg http://www.mccodemods.com/screenshots/donate10.jpg This mod costs $10. Djkanna Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 May I offer a suggestion? Don't limit the amount of items available per pack. Also do it in a way that, if I want more than one item add another field for me, rather than giving me options for 5 and having to remove 3 (checkbox) because I only wanted 2. Quote

Also do it in a way that, if I want more than one item add another field for me, rather than giving me options for 5 and having to remove 3 (checkbox) because I only wanted 2. Valid points but it should be some simple edits to the checks like removing the checkboxes all together and just make it so it checks to see if there is anything inserted into the fields and if not it just bypasses the empty spaces all together. But on the other hand if you do plan on using all 5 then I dont see an issue with un-checking a box while you are there. And how many items do people really plan on adding into 1 donator pack, cause if my math serves me correctly you can have 25 items rolled into 1 donator pack if the owner/admin(however they set this up) chooses? chicka Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Just Curious. What makes this donation system any better than Dave's donation system?? Quote

Valid; But what happens say if I wanted six items or seven, 8 ... ? -thats when things get tricky- Quote
Dave Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Valid; But what happens say if I wanted six items or seven, 8 ... ? -thats when things get tricky- In my system I allow users to add unlimited items to each pack, ranging from 0 to infinity (well obviously limited by the database table, but it's a pretty large number). All that without any code edits too! Quote

All that without any code edits too! I know! ;) This is why I added it as a suggestion for Cronus, as he's got very little chance of sales when yours, not only allows this but much more, and it's only $5 extra (currently). Quote
Cronus Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 (edited) Well for one, mine is cheaper. And for two, you could potentially add an infinite number of items if you really wanted. You could create a pack that has 5 other packs inside, those packs could have other packs, etc, etc. However I find that most games dont need more than a few items in each pack. For three, most mccode developers are not ajax friendly, and it would be quite bit easier for them to alter my mod(visually and functionally) to their liking. Four, mine is also available in v2.5/redux. PS. Dave: Don't come into my threads and push your competing crap. I don't do that to you. Thanks. Edited June 13, 2012 by Cronus Quote

Cronus Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 (edited) Well considering mine was made first, I'm going to have to call bullshit. (mine was made back in 2009, a full 2 years before yours) Maybe you should know what you're talking about before you speak. Or perhaps you were looking in a mirror when you typed it out? KyleMassacre Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Im just going to come out and say that I think both systems are worth it, in then end you get paid and the user gets donator packs Quote

Well, I asked him to create me one in 08, which then was turned into his first donation mod release (with a few extra bells and whistles), and now with his new one. Therego his original donation mod, was released a full year before yours was. :) Edit: - Not actually stating x copied y here, we all copy each other it makes us better. Edit again: On an unrelated note, insulting, yes the last statement was an insult (a very crap one but meh) a staff member is against some rule, I'm sure. Edited June 13, 2012 by Djkanna Quote
Cronus Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 I agree, it is stupid to say either of us stole the idea, but I am not the one that started pointing fingers.... Also his basic donation mod was released before mine, however its abilities were limited and mine is quite different. Quote
rulerofzu Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 I can point fingers from my high horse!!! Both of you have done good donation mods. Well done it has earned me lots of $$ Quote
