W3Theory || Peter Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I would like to clarify, that I only mention to him that possible problems could be with an php update. I did not know what the errors were or even go onto his files as we do not go into a clients cpanel. Quote
Uridium Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 attackimageuploader.php wow that brings back some memories :) Quote
galdikas Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 OK I was meaning to ask this somewhere.. Not really worth creating a thread... But is there any actually succesfull MCC codes games??? Like 1000 daily users??? if not thousand... What is the nearest? Any succesfull game owners here?? Maybe someone from active/semi active game would trust me to let me mod or admin for couple days??? Just I would really like to see what sort of functions from admin menus are really used in real world... How it works and stuff. See the workload, and the type of issues that needs to be solved when dealing with players etc etc... :) Well basically, just gain some experience . Would really appreciate :) Quote
rulerofzu Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Success with just using the base code and free mods. I wouldnt think so. Quote
Dayo Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Success with just using the base code and free mods. I wouldnt think so. http://www.unforgivenwar.com when i first joined in beta it had a free template, no mods and still had 13000 users and about 100 online at any one moment ... can be done you just need to market it right Quote
rulerofzu Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 You can get 13000 users doesnt mean any of them will play. I know of games that had a lot of players and was very successful not so much these days. unforgiven. 15 players online for example. So I based my post on the past year or two not many years ago. Like 1000 daily users??? if not thousand... What is the nearest? Yes rulesthesea.com has very active players its mccodes they have though changed the engine a bit from the beginning.. It takes time to accumulate a lot of players, also good advertising and word of mouth... Quote
rulerofzu Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 rts is based on Grpg with mccodes mods/files recoded to that engine. Yes recoded significantly. however thats significantly declined in players over the years. I have a lot of x-rts players on rulerofzu.com I laughed when they put it up for sale at $2million USD. Yeah im not joking. It went for a lot less. You can even make a success out of a game and still have bugs that you have not fixed! Quote
lucky3809 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I stopped playing it 2 1/2 years ago, I didn't hear about them trying to sell it thats funny 2 million... When I first signed up the game was fun and had more online players then it does now, they changed a lot from when i signed up though, the staff on it probably scared all the players a way.. that's another thing too have honest ,loyal staff and your game will be successful too, have jerks for staff you will see players leave...and multis join lol..
