Damagedcity.com
Selling my website damagedcity.com which is a MMORPG game. I have had it for about a year now and am ready to sell. Here are some of the screenies of what it looks like in the attachment. Design alone is worth $200 along with all the addons on the game. So if interested mail me on [email protected] with your offer and then we can discuss it. The reason I am selling this game is because this website was more of a hobby for me and with my studies coming along i get less time to concentrate and i guess there are other people who could manage it better with there time. bineye
Quick question: What the **** is up with your captcha? I tried to register to get a look at your game in more detail, and the captcha is just blank with a few lines. Have you got a demo account? Damagedcity.com
Sorry about that the captha has been turned off and for a chance to look at it. Demo account: username: demo password: demo
bineye
In all honesty, all those add-ons appear to be from the free section on this forum. There's nothing on there I haven't seen before. The design is good I guess, but I don't think you should have paid $200 for it. The game isn't much different to others, so I'd pass, but it would be a very good starting point for someone looking to learn the management role on a game. I wish you good luck on your sale, and I'm sure someone would be interested, but just not me on this occasion. Good luck //bineye

rulerofzu
Not worth it. Site does not work fully. For example Warning: mysqli_error() expects exactly 1 parameter, 0 given in /home/damagedc/public_html/class/class_db_mysqli.php on line 80 Layout is far from correct and needs work. Its just free mods from here. Nothing new. No real thought put into the content. I take it you can confirm you have a valid licence? Its worth very little over than the cost of the licence for mccodes.
Damagedcity.com
Yes it does have a lisense and the reason it may have that error is because the host has just recently updated the php coding so ive had to go throughout the whole of the website to clear it up. There may be a minor error like this but if you know php its easily fixable. As for the lisense yes i do have a lisense for mccodes on damagedcity.com. If anyone is intersted in starting a new project this is the perfect chance for them to get a website to start working on and with the layout already made for the site. If you are interested just mial me an offer and i will record you and we can negotiate. Although I am looking for about $200 at least since the design cost it with the lisense we got to be serious. rulerofzu
So the mysql error is due to an upgrade in PHP lol. I bet it isnt. What version of PHP as I run 5.3.6 and do not have any issues with a fresh install of mc2. Sorry but that design needs work it doesnt flow properly on many pages. A lot of pages do not work is that also due to the upgrade in PHP. o_O
Damagedcity.com
it was the old mysql_ wasnt working but all u have to do is change by adding $db->. The host person did tell me about it. Also you said it affected lots of pages i have only seen 1 page with that error and that was battletent which i have removed anyway because its a minor file. bineye
The host would not have told you that. In fact, if they knew to do that, I'd be worried. The reason is that the $db-> is a connection written specifically by the MCC script. If your host knew this, that would mean they are viewing your scripts, which they shouldn't be doing. Also you said it affected lots of pages i have only seen 1 page with that error and that was battletent which i have removed anyway because its a minor file. Why did running it though a class file fix it? The class file is still using mysql_ The host would not have told you that. In fact, if they knew to do that, I'd be worried. They seem to be with w3theory so no it's not that worrying. The owners have experience with mccodes.

The owners have experience with mccodes. Apologies on both parts, first quote I saw the image with a blank template, saying something like "Link Here, Link Here, Link Here" down the sides, then the inability to register left me suspicious. I don't like scammers, that's my pet hate :/ I didn't know he was on w3t. I understand Peter has a vast knowledge of the MCC engine, from his posts around the forums. Most that post on here don't work from w3, so one must be suspicious when reading a line like that.
Damagedcity.com
Peter Leaman co owner of w3theory was also the designer of the layout you can see.
Kieran-R
Peter Leaman co owner of w3theory was also the designer of the layout you can see. Then I highly doubt you paid $200 for it.. I bought a layout from him before, and it cost me around $120. It was the same quality as your one or better.

Damagedcity.com
well the design was worth $200 but i get 15% discount for having host so it went to $160 and the lisense i bought was $100 so im not asking much. Its worth about $260 at least from this if anyone gives me an offer i can go between $200+ just send me an offer to negotiate.
Danny696
A business is only worth its turnover? How much has this game turnedover?
Kieran-R
If its making money then why are you selling it? The only reason I can think of for the reason you are selling it is becasue it is no longer mkaing a good enough profit.
Dominion
A business is only worth its turnover? How much has this game turnedover? No. It's worth at least the mccodes license. It's worth two things 1) what they are willing to sell for 2) what someone is willing to pay People forget the site could come with a prepaid hosting account etc. no turnover does not mean worthless. If its making money then why are you selling it? The only reason I can think of for the reason you are selling it is becasue it is no longer mkaing a good enough profit. Lack of time? Damagedcity.com
I havent started it yet i just built it up to sell. I dont have the time to do it i been in beta stage for this year just building the game up. I was gonna start it up but with a levels its gonna be hard to run a business so thats why i wanna sell. So I think i would have to base the price on the assets im selling: Mods on game-see that as no charge Design-$160 Lisense-$100 Months Host-$10 Year domain name-$10 Of course i havent started it up so i would allow a discount thats why im starting the price at $200 which i consider very reasonable for what your buying. bineye
$db-> is not just used by MCC script i have seen it used in alot of scripts myself That wasn't my point. My point was that any generic host would not have been able to pinpoint that without actually reading the scripts. Yes, of course, anyone setting up a database connection would generally just use $db or $c for their connection, but any host wouldn't even have been able to be so specific. It was explained to me that the owners of the host company are on these forums and have seen many MCC scripts, as well as working on them themselves, so that was cleared up.
