$-Chinion-$ Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I have some spare time on my hands and I wanted to try making my own login layout, what would be the best size? 1000 x 1000? Quote
$-Chinion-$ Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 Thanks, I will be posting it up soon. Bare in mind I haven't even used this programme before or even tried to make a layout. Quote
a_bertrand Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Make it re-sizable... as none will be ever perfect otherwise. Quote
Djkanna Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) 1200x1200, I generally use. Also use a grid, for example http://960.gs if you're doing fixed layouts 960x(x) is generally acceptable by most screen resolutions (on the pc, maybe an tablet I don't know), there is also a 960 type grid for jQuery mobile. If possible, go fluid, or at least design your site so that the background of the main elements extend, even if the content doesn't. :) Edited April 14, 2011 by Djkanna Quote
Dave Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I'd also recommend using the 960 grid square. Comes in very hand when positioning elements. Quote
$-Chinion-$ Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 Thanks, I'm not really to serious about using that sort of stuff as my work will not be good enough for publishing, I just wanted to see if I could grasp it I'vee found out I cannot from the ones I've made :P Quote
