sandman18
i have a solution for this please dont use this on a computer that you plan to use at all the computer that will do this is completely useless while crons are on i bought a cheap comp and i only use it for this this is only for the desperate google crons for windows their is a free version unzip the file open the crontab.file in a text editor put in your crons example 0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * */cron_minute.php?code=[your code]  * * * * * /cron_minute.php?code=[your code]  0 * * * * /cron_minute.php?code=[your code]  0 0 * * * /cron_minute.php?code=[your code]  please note i did not use curl since this cron runner dose not use curl and i did not use */5 for the every five mins the cron dose not support that syntax  after you have put in all your info needed save that file dubble click the cron.exe and walk away  this method is only for the most extrem cases bc it renders the host comp useless (it brings up the internet every min preventing you doing much at all)  not the best solution but it will work if you really need it to
rulerofzu
Am I understanding you correctly? You are going to run your crons from your home computer??
Equinox
Am I understanding you correctly? You are going to run your crons from your home computer?? He's suggesting it, and it's easily applicable here however not recommended, this method has a lot of flaws - for example you have a power cut, your crons will stop running. bladewolf2010
It is sometimes needed if your host is having problems and crons stop working.. Great idea if something on host's end happens.
rulerofzu
Not really a good idea blade. So your going to keep your computer online 24/7/365 to run your minute and 5mins crons? If your having trouble running crons on your webhost search for the alternative and have timestamps instead. Which is probably the best solution for those on free and limited service hosting packages. This idea is really only going to work if your running a game open at set times. bladewolf2010
I never said have your computer on all the time.. just if something happens on the hosts end. Even if you pay for hosting you still can have problems with crons..
rulerofzu
So blade. If you did this and didnt have your computer on all the time then how would the 1minute, 5minute crons run? Take some time to think about it. I pay for my hosting and I dont have any issues with crons.
Guest George || Apollis
I agree with Zu, personally my crons never malfunction if you can put it that way. I don't expect it will either.
Dominion
running crons from a home computer is just silly if your crons ever fail install something like [any version] Removal of 1 minute crons (look down post by mygunwars takes out all crons) i use this on wamp and it works fine however on my paid sites my crons never fail once set up after all i am paying for a good host so i would never expect them to.
