I recently had to buy a new laptop, and after consideration, i thought i may as well give windows 8 a go. My budget didn't stretch as far to a touch screen laptop/tablet so although the live tiles are nice and I suppose a valid add on for any touch screen hardware i dont feel they have quite grasped the tracker pad with it. Saying that though, i think it is something that grows on you, and like all major changes to major products that people love it does take some time to settle down, get to know it and how to utilise it properly, but once that has been done i must say i like it to an extent. Certain things definitely need changes, but overall an improvement for the better, if you havent upgraded yet and you think you may this year, you should grab it now

Hey its great to see new developers try something new. From what I have seen though you need to ensure you filter every variable! Anytime anything goes into the DB check it first. There are some errors in your coding that would allow would be hackers an oppurtunity to ruin your game :) But so far good job

Wow, we all know who probably sold you this script. But no officially you cant launch it, you could develop locally on it and then buy a license when you are ready to put it live

  Newttster, if its the issue I think you was referring too, our images were used, not even slyly, you flat out copied our icons, our ad system and our menu. These were all designed for us to be used by us. The site got issued a warning, didnt comply, we gave them another one and the admin said he would change it. Changing the colors does not count as removing our material. We issued a DCMA

I launched a stock V2 game, face lifted it, recoded it within an inch of its life to this point its barely recognisable.. 3000+ users later, averaging $3000 a month in donator sales , was sold for a 5 figure sum late last year. Total profit > $30,000. Was it sucessful for me, not as sucessful as I would have liked, we had a very strong community to begin with which was reflected in sales and not only that but community spirit. However we made many mistakes being a first game launch. These mistakes of course have been dealt with but maybe too late.

Hi I was wondering if anyone here had experienced something i'm about to detail with notepad ++ (I'm using the latest version). Me and a fellow developer on MWG are currently both working on something, The thing is whenever i view a file he has editted when I open it Notepad automatically inserts a blank line inbetween every line. Even if i make edits and save it, the other developer can open it from his machine and will have no blank lines in the file. Low and behold when I try and then open it again on mine the pesky lines are back. anyone had this issue before or know how to resolve it. (we have both got the latest stable version of Notepad ++ and both tried using identical FTP programs etc)

The buttons still don't suit and are horrificly pixelated to be honest. I believe in your other thread someone gave you some nice examples of buttons. Still for me the login form still isn't working either, it looks like its been drawn in paint, so that needs some work

Yeah sure. You see on line 4 where you opened it with " " I believe at the end of line 6 you need to close the " " with a " ". That's about as much help as we can give you without seeing any code or what you are trying to do, try posting up some of your code in tags :)
