Redux was a example of a different method of engine design and it is. it is what it says it is a game in a box you can produce a game from it can you not?

Redux was a update to show people the MCC team are still working on the script people complained about the owners and the team being inactive for so long we basically give a teaser to a new system i was allowed to produce something people could mess with or even use as a game which actually looking at the statistics on how many have sold previously since release i would say it's quite popular with people and quite a few people still use it but as of previous versions it needs a little editing but doesn't every engine? GRPG? Zap? EZ? Horizon? all of the above need some editing and so does redux but it basically is a game in a box you can change so much more with redux than you could with 2.0.3 the future is gunna be better im sure if i could do that to 2.0.3 in 2 weeks the MCC team will produce a amazing v3 but as everyone knows i have no part in v3 at the moment. Who knows in the future i may have a small part in the code behind v3 this could be a bad thing or good depending on how you look at it. I'm still considering my own engine sometime in the future when my work is finally over for other people but personally at the moment i prefer to work for other people because when i work for myself i get slightly lazy lol EDIT: redux is still more secure than GRPG original version.

Microsoft have a script which you report bugs same with most other systems i have give the option to report bugs to me and still not had a single mail what does that say about the people complaining? If the bug is something to cripple a server as you say i wouldn't want rogue people reading this thread (as guests can) we wouldn't want people to note down the section of code and experiment so if you could send me this in mail i would appreciate it alot more and im sure MCC customers would also but you can post publicly when a patch to the script is sent out to all customers if that seems fair. Now this is criticism of which i do enjoy taking as you are basically not saying it's bugged and giving no solution or even giving a clue to the area you are providing help on the situation. I do appreciate any help in this sense and so does the MCC team im sure. I was working with php quite a few years ago but im the first to admit im not the best there is always more to learn and since i basically taught myself what i know im sure i skipped a few sections of the manual because of never really using a tutorial. Im more hands on i dislike reading tutorials and being taught something i could easily do myself, this was probably a bad approach but it's just me. For almost a year i've not even seen the php manual due to issues so im sure im a little rusty also.

I may be mistaken here, but it does seem that you are asking the community to provide support that you the developers cannot provide for yourself, yet at the earliest opportunity, you release a ""new"" product and then reap the benefits while expecting other people to provide support. ^interesting that yes you are wrong i would fix any issue put forward to me i stand by my code with my reputation which is why this affects me so much when people say they found issues but not even reported one single issue. Were I to help the developers, sorry, what do I gain? ^You gain nothing but the sound of mind that other peoples websites are more secure due to your small part in bug detecting. I'm not greedy i openly give my knowledge and offer support to people i don't even like i even offered it to daniel when his engine is finally released personal gain from a project like redux was just for educational purposes personally i could of just say back let MCC do their upgrades and patches and still sold my services freelance to producers of MCC games and made more money over and over for as long as i could possibly use my keyboard. i did it for the community not for personal gain i lost out by even doing the project in the long run. I find the attitude to "where is my profit" appalling and personally have nothing else to say on the matter if you find a bug message me if not then please cease the flaming without proof.

yeah greg anything has its kinks. dominion i am support when the issues are DIRECTED AT ME... No i just don't really like to talk about why i was away and personally i don't believe it's anyone but my issue so no need to share but some people who know me will know why i was away my family have been through alot lately. yes this is a forum but as i said above i can change the main script people download so basically report a bug to me ill fix it and then a email will be sent out to the customers saying basically a upgrade has been made and explaining it and have it up ready for download the only issue which slows down this process is people flaming the product without giving any idea to the issues it's idiotic.

I love this i really do i spent as i said 2 weeks on the project and in that time i found multiple issues people on MWG hadn't even known about because i know this due to helping multiple people in the past with security checks on their projects. I really don't mind if you guys say it's insecure. I don't see one case of people hacking a website using 2.0.3 and no ones even give a example of the insecurity in the script but yet they are complaining i mean Danny you personally provide me of one insecurity in the script and the way you'd hack it. ^only one mate should be easy considering the script is SO INSECURE. This is a community no it's not your place to secure the script but as a community you should better the script for other people it's quite selfish of someone to say it's insecure but to never give a example or even give suggestions to the developers of the script. They depend on people reporting bugs as does MC but it seems the community has twisted in bitterness of the time between mc releases. They outsourced mc 2.0.3 to me which is a large improvement on 2.0.2b but i have been away lately yes and im sure alot of you were a little pissed i got the job and you didn't. I did my best at the time with limited time period and it actually works alot better than previous versions. Mc v3 is going to be released soon i hear and then you guys can go forth and complain about something else. Danny im sure your engine will be quite impressive ill be sure to pay special attention to it just as you have with .3 i always repay favours but like i said earlier 100% security is impossible i will find issues in your script just as you will with my project but the difference is you produced yours from scratch i worked with a already commercial script which already had many haters who even if they got the most secure script in the world would never be happy. I will although help with any insecurities in your script because im not the type of person to just say it's insecure i help.

I give the floor to people with suggestions on how it may be better secured or to report such insecurities in the script it is true i spent about 2 weeks going through the script and even in that time im sure i never found every single little imperfection in the script although i can say i found more security holes in them 2 weeks than i even considered possible when i originally got the script. I patched outpput and input on many things as i recall i actually considered restructure a few times. Which is where i came up with the idea of redux to sort out the structure and basically make it easier for a developer to find things. Sadly some people did take this as a more difficult approach to the script and dismissed it. I really appreciate your time to write out your views and thank you for taking the time unlike other people who basically just said 'it\'s ****' and flamed it. NOTE: while restructuring redux i did a lot more work on the sql and sanitized a lot of stuff

I don't recall coding that. No script is 100% secure look at 2.0.0 compared to 2.0.3 and please tell me there is no security issues fixed and please if you say 2.0.3 is insecure mail me the issues rather than sitting here flapping your mouths and give me the issues. Everyone knows ill fix 100% of my code if there is a issue found but i can't read minds we are all developers are we not its a piss take when people sit there saying its insecure and not even report the issues. its nice when people return the favour isn't it... I would help any of you with free checks etc and you sit here saying it's insecure without even messaging me.

I'm not a MCC member of the team i have never been a official member of the MCC team either and the reason behind me disappearing is none of anyones business but my family and im sure you will all respect that. I can give code based support though on the script if anyone personally messages me with a issue with the script i would immediately (when reading) work on the issue.

I only offered because you referred to not reviewing the script although i do understand you don't want to review it. thanks to you for your contribution anyways and yeah a gift to the community is always nice and im sure the people who use redux appreciate it. Yeah the owners are not really active but i believe the pair of them are in college/uni at the moment so it is difficult for them to find time to be available at the moment.

We did have a set BETA time which many issues were fixed, even some of the people complaining here were on during beta and they never said anything (granted they never had access to the script then) but some of the issues they have gone on about GUI wise never were put to me. Dev side im sure change does make complications you can't take a turd polish it and call it gold (that's a example im not referring to MC being turd). as a developer i was a large supporter on hating on MC previously but when i joined the team and saw it from the other side you get a little enlightened into the pressure people add onto you too produce a script upto their standards although everyones standards suddenly go up when they look at MC codes. a percentage of CE/MWG originated from MCC and progressed forward originally they don't disrespect it but eventually they learn some things should of been done another way although the original version of MCC was released rapidly due to a leak and v2 wasn't far behind it people still suggest its crap. Personally i think it's a game and a learning ground for developers. Everyone has to start somewhere and im sure everyone here would do something differently to another to improve on the script. Redux could easily be made into a game if you review the script properly you could improve on it like on v2 and previous versions but still it's what it says on the tin a out the box game. I personally don't care if i lost peoples respect for working with MCC in my mind i believe i improved on v2 and then went a little drastic and produced redux sadly was a little too far for people with limitations and expectations from previous versions of MCC. The future will be better but i do wonder how many people bought Redux and looked at it for 5 mins then closed the file. that's not reviewing by the way it's just looking at something complicated and saying #### that. Danny im gutted i lost your respected </sarcasm> I used a array because at the time it was a fun method to work with were always learning no matter what we say and at the time i thought array would be worthwhile although i do appreciate the criticism and please do continue. I have to admit the array does show some complications in future adding of the files although it's still quite a easy method to add a new file.

Coly if you use the search function as Ruler did say you can find some handy free scripts which use timestamp or you could easily go on another host which allows crons (most don't allow minute crons but there is a timestamp method on here somewhere).
