  1. I have a few laying around if you want to play with them. Just mail me.
  2. I cant stand cartoonist GFX, and most people say that my artwork is not anime enough, or they prefer cartoon styles. Mail me here, and we will talk. I do have to say tho, I have 2 layouts in the works atm, so I may not be able to get to it right away.
  3. It reminds me of a kids game, like something a kid would have designed for another kid. If thats the look you were going for, you hit it spot on. I cant say it looks professional, or that its good, but it might work for a cheesy kid's game.
  4. When building the code, try thinking of it as sibling 1 and sibling 2, you already have more than one place in your sql for this, and identifying them as 1 and 2 in your coding will help keep things strait. You may run into the difficulty of Brian being sworn to Abby and Mark, Wile Mark is sworn to Brian and Beth. Theres ways around it, with additional coding, but I'm sure you will figure it out. On the other hand, leaving that to player choice if they want to return the oath to the people swearing to them might add an interesting dynamic to this modification. Where you simply want to give the sworn sibling the option to add time to their body guards, this is pretty easy to do, you call out who the siblings are, verify that $ir has sworn to them, and use the same sqls in the body guard files to add time to the sibling's bodyguard. one tip I can give you on the coding you have posted RE:$oath=$db->query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE userid={$r['swsib2']}"); If you don't require every piece of information in the user's table (users is huge), don't waste the server resources calling it out. It seems like a small thing, but if you get in that habit, the added up server load can cause some very significant lag times. On a side note, You wouldn't actually be buying the scripting, but simply paying for the coder's time to make the modification. Out of respect, they should put comments into the coding that state it is a modification of a free script written by so and so, and where they got the free script from. Good luck with your rose Aderik, it sounds like you have some fresh ideas, and thats much needed in this community.
  5. I hope that Morgan is referring to Peter's layouts being worth the $150. Honestly, I have not created any layouts (and I don't code) that cost less than $800. I realize that I work by referral only, and only do highly custom work, but a good layout is worth a lot of money. High quality developers often devote more than 40% of their budget/time to graphics (not including the integration coding).
  6. OK, first, your small peice of code allowing 2 or 3 people to swear the oath would be a totally modified marriage type program. This means a complete rewrite of the marriage mod. Second, you will detect (via a SQL Query) who all that person is sworn to every time someone in you game makes an attack, this means modifying all 3 attack files to run that query. third, you are going to have to have 6 possible out comes per attack outcome (leave, mug, beat up) yet again modifying each of the 3 attack files. Fourth, the defend ability granted in the body guard file you linked is run from NPC bodyguards, not players with changing stats. So if you want the sworn people to do the defending, it means a complete rewrite of that bodyguard mod. SO, a decently written Oath / marriage mod can run you $10 - $50 Editing the war systems via the attack files would cost at least another $5 to $10 and the defend mod would run you somewhere between $30 and $100 All in all, you would be looking somewhere in the neighborhood of $55 to $160 depending on the quality of coding you want. Some coders charge more for installation on top of that, some don't. Then there is the question of do you want this mod to be unique, or do you want to allow the creator to sell to other developers as well. Unique mods cost a lot more, as they can not be resold. This mod is interesting, and I think a lot of developers would fork out $70 to $80 for it.

    Layout Design

Back on topic, lol. Chicka, the artwork is well done, and color choice matches well, and is appealing to the eyes (if you don't mind neon lights surrounding the objects, you know where you used outer glow, and I personally don't mind, I love Vegas). Thats half the battle of a good layout design (ok so maybe 1/4, but still a very considerable chunk.) Something you will want to consider in future layouts is how repeatable is the image? Like with your paper in the center, Its going to be near impossible to get a decent repeating image if you have pages that are longer or shorter than others, this poses a problem. Also, where your separator bars (the vertical wood looking images that separate the menus from the main body) needlessly overlap with the vote / Donate bar. It draws focus because it looks sloppy and out of place, and can be a royal pain to slice into a layout. There is also a lot going on in the majority of the layout, however above the vote / Donate area its kinda plain, it makes the whole thing look out of balance. But with only 3 small things I can nit-pick about this layout, I would have to say you have done an exceptional job. Keep up the good work, I think you have a lot of talent, and with just a little practice, you will be making awesome designs in no time. Remember, sometimes, less is more and this applies to layer styles.
  8. Does this mean I have to be nice to EVERYONE? I mean if so ... I'm defiantly out .... besides, I don't think I have ever managed to keep a new Years resolution anyway. But it is a good thought with good intentions. How about, we all agree to give as many members as we can a fresh start .... Except we get to pick 2 that stay on our (edited) list.
  9. Just fair warning tho ... even tho the programs are free, you are still going to fork out a lot of cash in getting models ect for those programs. Its cheaper to hire me or Alain. Alain is more skilled. and f you are wanting to use them in a 3d game engine... your expences go up even more! just the starter kits for a simple female model from Daz that is ready to impliment into 3d game engine starts out at $199.00. Thats not even the softs plugins you need to make it work.
  10. Ive got it .... works great. Each skill has levels, and item creation recipes are easy to install thanks to the staff panel.
  11. Just about any decent coder on this site can make that mod, but $5 will get you garbage! Seeing as how the bonded game is running stock mccodes, you are looking at having to edit a bunch files, plus creating a few more. Good luck, its worth a lot more than $5, unless you want garbage that only kinda works. Theres a few programmers around doing them too.
  12. I have purchased and installed this mod, I must say that the installation process is a little complicated for a noob like me, However if you can read carefully, its defiantly all there. At first I was skeptical about linking this to jobs as I removed jobs from my game, however, its adds a certain dynamic that I had not thought about before that is very nice. Adding information, recipes ect is extremely easy as Danny promised me it would be. This is a very well thought out mod that functions nicely from what I can see so far. Great job Danny.
  13. I have been playing a war game that awards a hugely insignificant amount of currency that can be used to purchase donator type items. You can also use USD (RL monies) to purchase additional currency. If this were applied to a Mccodes game, how do you think it would impact the game? How do you think it would impact the income of the game?
  14. A bit off topic, I want to say thanks to all the posters to this topic. It is informative, backed with evidence, and very mature. I hope to see future posts in this section follow this example. What is Vitalend's side of the story?
  15. they will transfer your file, however a backup is a great idea, and yeah, look arround. I found their customer service to be decent, but their prices were high.
  16. You are me hero! have I told you that?
  17. LOL Thanks Dayo ... I will have to remember to "nag" its not really my style as I cant stand nagging. I do have the file you sent me to get started with but I do have questions about it. So ill message you in IRC.
  18. IM not the greatest coder, but it sounds like what you want is to add something to the day cron that is based off of if statements.
  19. by slicing it and coding into your css file and adding / changing the code in your header.php file.
  20. This issue was not brought to the community here to bash on one particular game. It was not to listen to a bunch of legal advice from everyone's different opinions. It was however in fact to illustrate some of the tactics employed by certain games to rid themselves of the competition. While I have won in my situation without paying for legal representation (tho I did seek a lawyer's opinion and advice), the other game (and it's separate owner) has chosen to take further action against the offending game. This should serve not only as an awareness of what other games may do to you, but how you will be responded to by others. Lets all take a lesson from this and make sure that we are respecting other game owners / developers.
  21. Warning: my noob is showing! How would one treat the skill as another player? I like the idea of standalone mods for skills, but have no clue how to go about it.
  22. Ive often wanted to add levels for certain skills. Like a mining level to go with my recently working (but far from finished) mining mod. What are some different ways to do this? I believe adding skill levels will add a certain variety to Mccodes that will improve the versatility of the script.
  23. not me, lmao, or I would have fixed it! Note to self: dont use 0 in a mt_rand unless you account for it! Ok guys, I have updated the original script, and it is working as perfectly as I can tell. I went through over 100 mines with no issues. Me and my (edited) manners! Thank you all for your help!
  24. try looking in lines 24 -35. Edit, ok, I see what you are saying, ill fix that, however, it has nothing to do with gold ore right?
  25. Thats the entire error! Funny thing is, I cant see how it is any different than how I did the add_item on the gem type items, and they are adding just fine. Im so confused!
