Well idk never had to deal with it...what I posted there was from the gnu site for GPL v2 ezRPG is under GPL v3 (just checked) I dont really care enough to read through it all however if you scroll right to the bottom for GPL v3 click on the common questions link it takes you to the page which I quoted the above. Personally regardless what is stated elsewhere thats the site where the licence originates from so I would follow whats stated there.

I think and you will have to research this that if you keep it as a separate mod then you can licence it yourself for non redistribution which stops it being packaged with the engine under its GPL. You would need a compatible licence though.

Does the GPL allow me to sell copies of the program for money? (#DoesTheGPLAllowMoney)Yes, the GPL allows everyone to do this. The right to sell copies is part of the definition of free software. Except in one special situation, there is no limit on what price you can charge. (The one exception is the required written offer to provide source code that must accompany binary-only release.) Does the GPL allow me to charge a fee for downloading the program from my site?Yes. You can charge any fee you wish for distributing a copy of the program. If you distribute binaries by download, you must provide “equivalent access” to download the source—therefore, the fee to download source may not be greater than the fee to download the binary. Does the GPL allow me to require that anyone who receives the software must pay me a fee and/or notify me? (#DoesTheGPLAllowRequireFee)No. In fact, a requirement like that would make the program non-free. If people have to pay when they get a copy of a program, or if they have to notify anyone in particular, then the program is not free. See the definition of free software. The GPL is a free software license, and therefore it permits people to use and even redistribute the software without being required to pay anyone a fee for doing so. If I distribute GPL'd software for a fee, am I required to also make it available to the public without a charge? (#DoesTheGPLRequireAvailabilityToPublic)No. However, if someone pays your fee and gets a copy, the GPL gives them the freedom to release it to the public, with or without a fee. For example, someone could pay your fee, and then put her copy on a web site for the general public.

You are of course able to sell any mod scripts as you see fit. So in the case of your image script you can sell that with instructions on how to integrate it with the engine. If I read it correctly it states that you can sell a modified version but that must be made available to all parties. IE if Zeggy came along and asked for it then you would have to supply it to him. Also as its GPL then there is nothing stopping someone who buys it then making it available free of charge.

function delcar() is there.

If you still have a copy can you post the GPL licence as according to the only other site that is providing any info other than sourceforge is hotscripts which states last update 2009 commercial and costs $50 per copy.

Use a combination of session counting and captcha/macro So set a session increment it every refresh and when it hits a target reset the macro and they will only see the captcha

LOL get out the wrong side of bed yesterday HD? So who is working to a complete new standard and methods? you?? Have we swapped who is riding the high horse! This really is a pointless argument as you can only work with the information placed before you. Its not the mcc board so may not be mcc regardless of the userpass and other similar terms used. They are not "difficult" column names to think of and are not solely used in mcc. I could argue in return that the code is using mysql_query rather than $db->query so its not v2 could be v1 or could be neither. Its just silly to bother about it. Email. The point is invalid as the remainder of the OP's code has not been seen for example checking for email on registration and therefore no duplicates are allowed. As this topic has already done this can go back and forth on and on and on. Really just help the OP and leave it there. Move that nag along now.

I dont see any mention that its MCC

One thing that I do find puzzling is the password hashing It was one thing how you both could not agree so have included a choice but Oldschool for backwards compatibility I assume with the current engine? As far as I know its a rather unused engine where at most it has been dabbled with. I would have thought you would be better just ditching the oldschool or at least keeping it for a one time login now set a new password into the chosen new hash for anyone transferring from the current engine. Seems to me by the way of giving the option of oldschool that your defeating your own objectives.

Will you be able to adjust the session expiration? I can see why your doing it but i can see it being a real pain in the backside for the end user if its too short. Things like this annoy me if I cannot alter it. gzip compression. Most hosts activate it as standard which is good practice as it saves resources. Depending on your compression method it may serve to be incompatible. There are still hosts using less favored methods. Or would this be a cache type compression of say css, js etc. Proper UTF-8 support. I recently had a major headache with dealing with utf-8 but then also having to accommodate special characters from countries such as Finland, Sweden have you taken this into consideration? Is there a need for guest signatures?

For yourself skooda. No offense but I think you would struggle but it would be a good learning curve for you and a better one. Mcc is a very lazy engine. As far as I am aware there was only 1 game produced from ezRPG and at the moment I cannot remember the url to see if it is still active.

Perhaps looking up some US requirements of which Canadian authorities took on board which outlines the protection of minors with regards to adult content. Tell you what. Run it by your webhost and see what they say. Something along the lines of I am running a leech site which links to websites that contains content of which 1. May or may not be adult in nature 2. May or may not be copyrighted material which no permission has been obtained to provide the content. See if they allow you to carry on. I bet you wont as they will say no. Personally I think the admins on this site should remove this topic and the link in your signature due to the nature of the above. Also you seem to not be really that bothered about the content ive pointed out to you and that it would be easily accessible regardless of the persons age. As a family man all i can say is thank god for filtering which means my kids wont be able to access sites such as this anyway.
