  1. It's called Text speak as far as I know... and in any case I still use full English. I never used punctuation when I start posting on forum sites (check out some of my first posts...), and ended up finding my own typing unreadable... never mind the people who told me to start. Long posts are unreadable, small posts just look silly. What you need to remember is not everyone on here speaks fluent English, nor for that matter do most people want to sit there, and read something that looks like this - I mean “ lanuage” that's not short it's just bad spelling. I accept that not every can spell correctly, but when selling something it's not hard to spell check your posts. Frankly it will help sales; why would someone think you can program/design if you can't take the time to produce a professional looking thread? This also transfers over to web design, a site with “text speak” as it's content won't get a second look by the majority of people.
  2. I think you missed my point to be honest. I am well aware a facebook app is not the same as a website linked into facebook to allow small things such as well posting etc. It's still a stand alone site, and in fact you can still reach the facebook users this way. Anyway... it's not a given that you would need web hosting, many things like this allow you to host on there site. Granted not facebook applications, but “one click, and your done” programs do often allow you to have a sub-domain with that site.
  3. So you need a webhost, you should probably put a “basic requirements” page on your site so that people know that? From what I read I assumed it was something like Mafia creator (so you host it...). Creating a basic facebook application is rather easy anyway... What makes it worth using your application over a stand alone site then integrated into facebook with a login button (and more, but that's a basic example).Keep in mind most people would only open one game at a time to give the correct amount of attention a new game needs.
  4. How does it connect to Facebook? Is it just a set of files that then auto-connects to the API? Do we need a host, as I would assume, or does it upload to your site the same as something like mafia creator? If it is a pre-made set of files that just connect what are the files like? Easy to edit? I would also assume the graphics still have be done by the buyer? This all sounds amazing, but on the technical side you have told us very little.
  5. To be honest I like some of the older designs better, but saying that people have no real right to say how much your work is worth. If someone is willing to pay it, then it's worth that much. Of course it's also worth what he is willing to sell it for since the owner does not have to sell on the first offer. Opinions are fine, but at least list improvements that could help, what's wrong with it in the first place etc... “not worth it” posts annoy me. Just saying.
  6. Well feel free to do your own copy... If it’s too much like the paid versions it would be kind of pointless. A better free version sounds good, but not just a clone of v1/v2. Maybe something that does not force that kind of game, but allows use of the free mods would get people to use it.
  7. Why would you ever use rand(10,10) ?
  8. People do that anyway. If it's redone then it may even stop people paying $100 for mccodes, then asking why there are so many bugs? If the base is redone then the "real noob" won't use it... Not really a ready made game to most people as it's missing "gangs" (not my words)... Anyway good luck. :)
  9. Then check your cron_fivemins something along the lines of what you're asking for should already come with mccodes.
  10. Does mccodes not have faster energy gain for users who have donated built in? Unless you're using lite?
  11. GIMP is often the one people without PS use. Give it a go.
  12. They sell it to make money, not everything on sale is there legally. As for “recoding” you may as well start from scratch if you're going to do that...
  13. In other words it's an auction. ;)   People will bid if they want it... Not everyone checks the site everyday. Can you show proof that it's a legal copy of v2?
  14. Huh... always works for me. Maybe there are errors in the file. Anyway in that case take a look around there are a few marriage mods around. e.g. http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/38266-Marriage-Modification
  15. Why are you talking as if “game programming” in php is different then any other kind? OOP within php can be a massive asset, yes, but really if you feel using it is what makes a good programmer then please explain more. I feel it's silly to assume if a site (gaming or not) is not using OOP then it's “bad programming”...
  16. http://www.w3theory.com/ Is fine, as is every other site i know is hosted with them. I don't think it's them...
  17. You could look how it's done with the NEAB game engine. http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/19697-NEAB-engine-FREE-edition If you plan on using it you should buy the paid version. The free one cannot be used for commercial use.
  18. Sorry. But no. This is true in some languages, but with php it's really not. Maybe it's heading that way, and if you can't use OOP then you're depriving yourself of a handy tool, but it's in no way the “backbone of good php programming”.
  19. changed you're turn from when this was posted?   Modification... “. A change made.“ I don't really understand this post? To be honest it's not up to other people what someone sells their work for. You can give an opinion sure, but please don't turn this into spam.
  20. Examples of your work?
  21. Download something like Netbeans, and use the format function that it has built in. Will short the file out for you. Simply copy, and paste it, right click and select “format”.
  22. If there are hardly no bugs, then there are bugs... So how does everything work?
  23. Nice to see you back around! Will look into your program a little later on. :)
  24. You say that, but I see very few people requesting mods for other engines. On Makewebgames, as much as i hate to admit it, mccodes is still #1 in the engines market. It will probably always be the case due to the amount of free modifications. I do however agree it’s best to branch out. You should not be glued to just mccodes anyways. ;)
  25. Don't have generic bonuses for each class; allow it to be setup by the one who is creating a site with it. Means writing documentation showing an example of it, but nothing more.
