As I said in the same topic elsewhere.

Your unbanned WooP!
-
Oh I remember the days when it was just talking about it, now it's there :O Hehe, good luck with it buddy. (:
-
Right on the money. I re-structured my 'fed-jail' so that users are now 'frozen', its easier to distinguish between jail, frozen and banned in my opinion. Frozen also makes more sense for the status of the user, not banned but not allowed to play temporarily. As for the question the thread is related too you can either check each individual value or use an array. Personally I prefer individual values as they are easier for things like gym.php which i still want my users to be able to use while in jail. That's an interesting way to go about it, I like it.

While that is a nice post Dibuk, 'jailed' here means when you fail a crime or something in game you get sent to jail (much like when you die you get sent to hospital) If your fed-jailed you cannot do anything, as you are banned from the game. (:

Like? $rand = rand(10,30); $num = ($numAgain/100)*$rand;
-
I usually get it around 1-3pm GMT. Hardly ever at night although I have in the past.

No need for the extra $check query . Ticket price is defined at the top so if you were to add to this it would be easier to edit the ticket price. Escaped the username upon input to the db. Generally just a little cleaner.
-
Little update to buy_ticket.php <?php require_once (dirname (__file__) .'/globals.php'); $ticketPrice = 1000; if ($ir['money'] >= $ticketPrice) { $db->query('UPDATE `users` SET `money` = `money` - '.$ticketPrice.' WHERE (`userid` = '.$userid.')'); $db->query('INSERT INTO `lottery` VALUES ('', "'.$db->escape($ir['username']).'")'); echo ' You\'ve bought a lottery ticket.</p>'; } else { echo ' Sorry you cannnot afford a lottery ticket you need $'.number_format($ticketPrice).'.</p>'; } $h->endpage(); ?> <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2; url=index.php">

Not bad you may need to mention to change the URL param in the meta tag. [mysql] CREATE TABLE `lottery` ( `lotID` INT(11) UNSIGNED NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `lotUser` VARCHAR(40) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`lotID`) ); [/mysql] Should do it.

In-game design is provided via header.php, menu layout provided by mainmenu.php Login.php has it's own design, register.php has it's own design, you'll want to design the following too. authenticate.php (for error messages when logging in) logout.php (if you want a success message when logging out)

I agree it is boring for us 'regular' members but the forums far from dead, but this isn't the place to discuss that. I myself appreciate a reason, whether you think it's true or not, knowing is better than not knowing. All we can do now is wait, some may flame/troll this topic but who cares anymore it's starting to be the only form of entertainment around here. I also enjoy the fact that if it wasn't for people like Alain and Nickson, not to mention the active members they would be well and truly f*cked. :thumbup:

if ($ir['user_level'] != 2) { The first however will not allow members to warn people but will allow all staff members to warn people.

I didn't read I just saw Bluegmans reply xD

Bluegman991: No need to define both margin left and right, below is so much simpler. <table style="margin: 0 auto;"></table>

In a sense yes, you could imitate V2's features using a Lite base, however again it would take some work and of course knowledge in PHP and MySQL. But it could be done yes.
-
The lite version gives you a stripped down version of MCCodes V1, it's possible to and has been used to create a fully functioning game. It will take a lot of work as there is only the basic features in MCCodes Lite. But to answer your question; Yes you can use Lite to make a running, working game. You've got control over the script to do with as you like per the license it is released under (GPL).

No more like ZapEngine. I think he has the wrong topic :D

Fair enough, I'm glad you actually posted this not many people here actually care about typography to much. :P I understand the reset.css part, thinking about it: h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 { color: #000000; margin: 0.7em 0 0.2em 0; } Could possibly material for the reset rather than the typography then the specifics done within the typography. Maybe we could get a reset going too?? Maybe even a column/grid basics css files too. :D

Honestly if you don't already use jQuery in your site, you'd be best just doing the Ajax request with raw JS nonetheless good job Danny :)
-
To be honest with you I don't think small should be the same size as sub and sup as those two are generally smaller. You could also add in things like selection and dfn. Also perhaps setting blockquote to quote: none; Nice work.

No I took what I learned from the aforementioned places and used that knowledge inside of MCCodes, for example creating modifications and basically just modifying the source. Dominion has a point, book are generally better material for learning. One upside to the Web however I find to be that it's pretty easy and quick to find something specific (EG: a function) rather that going through a book just to find a function. So probably would be best to mix Web and books together O'Reilly Media have a lot of helpfull books if your looking for Ebooks (they do paperbacks too I believe). O'Reilly Media Books On PHP

Well I learned from people teaching me, W3schools and amazingly the manual is helpful too. :P Then I just took what I learned and played with it inside MCCodes. :)
